I’ve been trad hunting for bout 33 yrs now mostly longbow and I’ve killed 111 with trad gear and 108 with longbow, 3 with recurve. Many different bows though, not same longbow. Always enjoy your videos, keep it it up brother.

But I sure am loving the challenge of learning to hunt these swamps. so different from all the mid west states ive hunted. You have mad skills and mad dedication. Very well done and congrats again!
This hunt was from last season, but this year is turning out to be even tougher. I don't know how many hunts I've made to this point, but I've only seen 8 deer from the tree. Killed 3 of those though, so it could be worse.
@TaggingOutTraditional yep been brutal for me out there. Sat persimmons, swamp chestnuts and a few white oaks. Seen 5 bucks the first week of season. Have not seen a deer since. Had a couple blow at me right at dark. But been brutal. So happy to hear you have still managed to load that freezer and got that beautiful 8 point! If anyone can make the best of a tough season it's you!
Good day sir, I was wondering if u could do a video on how you break your deer down and haul em out? I have always dragged mine out, and at times it’s probably easier if it’s a short drag. Sometimes I hunt farther in and dragging one a half mile or more isn’t fun. Do u quarter em? De-bone em? I figure someone that’s harvested as many deer as u have must have a pretty efficient way of getting em out of the woods. Love yur videos.
Not sure what camera you are using, but if you take the frame rate down to 30 frames per second it will brighten up the footage. My Tactacam 5.0 also has an EV (Exposure Value) setting from minus 2 bright light up to plus 2 for low light video. My Tactacam Fishi also has the EV setting. I have an Iphone 13 that has amazing low light video potential on 4k at 30 frames. It will gather more light than my eye can see. It is best to darken the Iphone screen to the lowest setting so it doesn't light the hunter up. Congrats on the trad harvest.

I usually average around 18 feet. I was probably slightly lower on this setup because I had good cover.
