The Carmel Mission is my most desired place to see. He wasnt just a priest, he is a noted Saint ! 🌹❤
Indeed! When you are you planning to visit Carmel by the Sea?
My grandparents have a quaint cottage about a minute walk down to Highway 1 and the beach, it’s a very nostalgic and beautiful location for me. You can also go inland into town i see almost fairy tale styled cottages and shops. If you go soon, i definitely recommend going to Cottage of Sweets; it’s a cute little shack with delicious candy imported from all over the US, Britain and Canada.
Fun stuff, thank you for sharing! We would love to see your grandparents' cottage!

There’s a difference between a place that’s wonderful to visit and ideally for day to day living.
What you described as "scenic highway 1" is Scenic Road which runs next to the ocean, beginning at the foot of Ocean Avenue and continuing south to the Carmel River State Beach, where it ends. Highway 1 is a completely different road and is at least a mile and a half away from Scenic. And a shot of the Bixby Creek bridge in the middle of something completely unrelated? The bridge is many miles south of Carmel on Highway 1. A lot of tourists stop there but calling it "something to do in Carmel" is rather a stretch. And then there's the recommendation for the wineries in Carmel Valley. Not a winery to be seen; just cows and oak trees. Oh, and the Carmel Mission. You implied that it had been in continuous use as a church. In fact it did not house a parish church for several decades as it had fallen into ruin, but it was eventually restored.
Next time? Ask a local.
THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US THE BEAUTY OF CARMEL IT SURE LOOKS STUNNING
I FIRST SEEN CARMEL WHEN I WATCHED THE MOVIE PLAY MISTY FOR ME WITH CLINT EASTWOOD

Carmel as well as Monterey and Pacific Grove are beautiful places but expensive places visit, especially when it comes to lodging. I recommend staying in nearby Seaside and Marina.

While I appreciate the informative detail video, it unfortunately is not well done and needs to be revised. The video is hazy, audio did not seem to match up with video pics and video was jerky in some spots.
