I grew up in solvang but was born on Big Island and reside in Hilo, crazy to see that you’ve covered both these very little known and travelled places in great detail.
I have been here and it is very European, which I am. I am moving from San Francisco where I was born and raised. This San Francisco is now is a dump and everyone including me are leaving. All of my childhood friends were smart and left California all together. Solvang is a wonderful place while still being in California. I have been several times and I have decided to MOVE there. Great place! Much better people and much safer!!
We used to go there every year. My favorites are hat cookies at the bakery, Pea Soup Andersen's in Buellton, and a visit wouldn’t be complete without Æbleskivers. Yum!!!!
Paula’s Pancakes was worth the wait, especially inside with the AC ❄️ during the hot season lol. But make sure you get the Danish Pancakes that’s the highlight, good mimosa deals too.
Planning a drive up to Solvang this weekend, thank you for helping me narrow down my options! Going to have to hit Ostrichland and the Copenhagen Sausage Garden!
This is so random but I live in LA and about 2 months ago I was in Maui, I did my usual youtube search and found your videos on Maui (which I heavily used to plan my trip) and because of that you keep popping us on my feed. I just realized most of your other videos are SoCal things so I subscribed and wow so helpful! I'm doing a Solvang day trip in the next week and am using this video. Thanks man!
I am from Portland, travel once or twice a year to California, Santa Barbara is one of my favorite cities, definitely will visit Solvang , enjoyed your video and a subscriber from today.
wow you did a great job focusing on just Solvang, never mind Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, Ballard, The Chumash Hotel and Casino Reservation and its proximity to Santa Barbara, VAFB (Space Force Base) and Guadalupe and Pismo beaches

I went to Solvang when i was a kid and it’s the best getaway vacation.
I grew up in the central coast and went to college at UCSB and Solvang was a great getaway. Miss it so much
I love traveling through Solvang on the Amtrak bus late at night. The town is all lit up.

Great video! Will have a short family trip to Solvang this week 🙂. Thank you for the info bro!
Definitely not worth a 2 hour wait lol! There are so many good mom and pop breakfast spots. Ellen's Danish Pancake House in Buellton is excellent!
Love your VDOs, thanks for sharing 😁
Solvang is a Danish town not Dutch. Danish are from Denmark, while the Dutch are from the Netherlands.
Beautiful church
Belgium Cafe is owned by Paula's too
no coverage on (sp) abelskivers?
Paula's Pancake House is great. Ellen's in Buellton (across the street from Andersen's Pea Soup) is better.
No audio?
How is the drive itself up there?
Easy drive with great views
I noticed you have your dog with you, I was wondering if every place you visit its dog friendly? I would like to go and I have 2 dogs
Yes she went with us everywhere
@@Active_Tours yay!! Thanks for replying 😄
Lovely video. The sound spoiled it though. Music is louder than your voice.
