What's it mean if there's a Red X on FUE? My land rover 2.0 diesel has mo codes just the red X

It means the I/M readiness check (emissions test) on that system has not completed. It may need a full drive cycle or two for the PCM to complete this. Some I/M monitors are not supported by all vehicles.

I received mine today. I tried to register it & update it, but the serial number got rejected? I called them & left a message. I wondered if Amazon sent me a used one that someone else sent back that was previously registered? Did you have trouble with issues when you set yours up?
I got this model because my vehicles are 1996 & 1998. Not a lot of bells & whistles on them.
    Thanks for your video. 👍

Honestly no I don't believe I had any troubles setting mine up. I have had it for a very long and it has never gave me any issues. I use mine as a backup for my other more indepth diagnostic scan tool, or if I just want something to do a basic EML check or clear codes I have already diagnosed and repaired. If you got it from a reputable company they should be able to help you. Thanks for watching 👍.

@@motormind4788 Thanks so much for your reply. After lots of research last night, I learned that they no longer register the AL519. I kind of toyed with maybe getting the AL619 instead because it's a little more advanced. I'm still on the fence with that one since it looks like it only upgraded to ABS & SRS. Which for me, probably doesn't make sense as vehicles would throw those with an ABS light or Airbag light anyhow.
I just got it to identify codes when needed.
      Thanks again!

the newer cars that have 3 wires on their coils will have live fault codes for misfires. you can use a cheap as obd scanner. cars built from 2000-2006-7-8 need expensive scan tools.

Yes you are correct on that. With many newer vehicles you do get more data PIDs. The PCM is able to monitor more In depth and you are able to get more information from reading the codes and live data with most OBD2 scan tools. I have in the past seen PIDs for each cylinder misfire on this tool, that is why I had a quick look for it. But as you said that is more on vehicles with three wires going to the coil. Thanks for watching, look for more videos coming very soon.

Das Gerät kann nur die Motorkontrolllampe ausschalten, mehr nicht ! Taugt nichts !

Thanks for your opinion. You are correct in the way this OBD code reader only scans OBD engine codes as well as some TCM codes. But as I have demonstrated you can also look at live data, as a list or graph selected ones. This can be very useful in diagnosis of a fault, if you know what you are looking at. It is not a useless machine, as I myself have used it to diagnose and repair many vehicles. As it is a cheaper OBD2 scan tool it has its limitations, but for your average Joe at home working on his own car it is very good. I did do a review on a much more capable full Diagnostic Scan tool that while is much more expensive then this, but in my opinion is very good value for your money. ua-cam.com/video/op9yP8614xo/v-deo.html
      Thanks for watching 😁.

@@motormind4788 I agree with you. I have this OBD reader and it is useful. Obviously it is limited to just the engine ECU and TCU reading codes as you said it can display live data. It is much more useful then some other cheaper OBD code readers as well as it can be updated for free with new dtc codes and definitions which is handy. I use mine as a back up code reader in work as well as something I can hook up quickly to pull engine codes if I don't want to get the big scan tool out. It definitely has its place in my tool box.
