We broke the same part in our swift challenger. It's crazy you have to order the whole part and not just the blind with the bottom tab? Thankyou or the video a big help.
Hi. I’ve watched your video and it is very informative. I have a problem with my blind not retracting and would like to get a new “roller blind only”. The frame is ok. I’ve tried to retension it but only lasts a few pulls so need to get a new blind. Does anyone know the part number for the roller blind. Thanks.
Hi Paul. See the conversation with Mark Weatherall below, it might help. I got just the blind from here www.caravanaccessoryshop.co.uk/product/hartal-door-blind-23cm-wide-x-53cm-long/6907
From what I remember, if you detach the frame from the door, you can then remove the roller blind and re-wind it to get some tension into it. Hope that helps
@@markweatherall7437 I've looked at my old roller blind and think I have a solution to your problem. If you look at the roller, one end is plastic and the other is metal. The metal and has a flat blade that stops the bar rotating. The bar then goes into a plastic bush that fits inside the roller. There is a spring which connects to the far end of that metal bar and tucks between the plastic bush and the roller body. I'm guessing your spring has pulled out from the plastic bush. The plastic bush with pull out if you get a finger nail behind it. You'll see a small channel in the bush and a straight end to the spring. Just align the spring end with the channel and push it back into the roller. this traps it enough to hold it. You should then be able to wind in some tension to the roller. Hope that helps
Big help. Thank you
