Excellent video on this common repair. I have just snapped a string on a blind whilst away for NYE. Will be following your instructions to repair as soon as we return. Thanks a lot!
Excellent tutorial Chris. I watched a few others before I found yours but this one is by far the best one to follow. I used 1mm blind cord from Amazon.
Brilliant video. It took me a few replays on some aspects, but I've replaced our broken cord. Thank you very much for that informative and clear as crystal lesson.
What a great video, we followed your instructions and successfully repaire our blind. FOr us it was the string on the mosquito net so just follwed the same insructions and it worked brilliantly. Thank you
Well done. This video saved me a fair bit of time changing broken cord on my identical blind. I used 4 metres of 1.2mm nylon blind cord as fitted to original. I did the final tensioning simply by raising blind to highest point then pulling each cord tight before tightening grub screws.
The problem with my blind is actually nothing like this, but seeing how to take it apart (and put it together again) has helped me enormously. Great video and, actually, not boring.
nice work we have 5 blinds i our 1998 peugeot boxer elddis 6 berth .. we bought the motorhome last year pulled the blinds down to stop any one staring in the van now we cant pull them up ...was watching you to see how easy it was fixing them but bit scarry looking ...thank you for demo might end up trying to find blinds on line..
Thanks for the commewnts on this video and glad it helped some of you guys. I hadn't seen one on this particualr problem so thought it would be of interest to some Swift owners with similar problems.
It’s a pity that your hands were in the way of the components you were dismantling. Perhaps you should have worked on the blind on a kitchen table and had someone hold the camera whilst you pointed out the components you were dismantling. Just an honest comment.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video, I have the same blind with a broken cord and can now repair it.

Yes I should have raised the blind to the top before applying tension.

Thank you! You have today saved my blind for the sake of a two quid length of cord and a few swear words. 😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great video, thank you! I need to repair some of my blinds. Please can I ask what size string did you use?
it was some I ordered from Amazon. a specialist blind company offer a good range of sizes. online. Get the closest to original size is my advice.

No He was acting as Cameraman ..lol

I noticed that it was done in one take without direction to the camera person, that is pretty remarkable, just saying.
