In my opinion, this is the the most beautiful station wagon ever produced. Even in the sedan version, the Legacy 4th generation, is one of the most beautiful daily cars, but in the station wagon, it overshadows the rest.
100%, I plan on getting one of these (just with the 3.0 engine and in diamond gray) for my first car, these are absolutely one of the greatest cars subaru has every made
I have one of these and mine doesn't have anywhere near 400hp to the wheels mines probably like 300 320hp to the wheels and its fast not the fastest thing I've been in but it's my daily and when I need that power it's there ready to go but 400hp is all you need in one of these with the AWD and the cornering potential these have 400hp would be literally a perfect hp figure for this vehicle. The way they launch feels like 600hp the way they corner feels like a 200hp go cart the way they stop feels like a subaru with brembo's 🙂 if you know you know we all know they stop goooood 👌🏼 I never thought I would become a subaru supporter and here I am I brought a tuned by sti liberty 2009 here in Australia im now in love and looking to import the s401 and then save for a s402 and hopefully the wrx s202 203 204 ect don't get to pricey before I can maybe get my hand on one of them too

I’ve got exactly the same model car… Aussie spec b 2.5t 6speed manual just without the all the extra good stuff. 😟 Still it handles beautifully even just with some tien c/o & cusco sway bars, braces and bushes.
In New Zealand, Australia and the UK, we use the 'RON' octane rating system. In the Americas, you use the 'MON' system. 98 RON is roughly the same as 90 MON

Hey I'm in the US and I'm building one of these with a 6 speed swap and I'm also trying to swap on the black brembos. I haven't gotten around to experimenting with it but everything I read says that the rears can't be used. Though this apparently isn't the case since they are on this car. How did y'all get them on? Thanks!
Hey Zack, it can certainly be done with the right adapters. There are a few companies that sell aluminum adapters, and we make/sell a stainless steel version for improved strength and to pass our local compliance laws. If you're interested, please send Pat an email - pat@possumbournemotorsport.com
It still runs the factory ECU, which is designed to run a MAF. It is possible to run it without a MAF, but for drivability, tunability, and economy, a factory Subaru ECU simply works better using this method.
@@PossumBourneMotorsport Thanks for the reply. I know the ecutek software has introduced the ability to go mafless and tune per cylinder I know its never going to be on the level of a emtron or syvecs but was curious why it wasn't used in this level build.
@@curvaholic Both ECUTEK and Cobb have mafless options, but as you've eluded to - if you're going to the level where that is required, you should probably be running a different ECU for all of the safety and motorsport features anyway.

It’s amazing how well they handle for a wagon … with just a few suspension mods. C/o’s , Bigger sway bars and braces and they are a weapon.

It was probably an EJ205 - but once it's been closed-decked it doesn't matter - it will be stronger than any EJ207.
