Question of the Episode! - What is your take on Sumptorium? (and if it's been asked before because I honestly don't remember - What is your take on IPECAC??)
I love Ipecac and Sumptorium, both dangerous and powerful at the same time :)
T. Eve is awful not a good representation of sump, so if that's all you've seen you won't want to take it as any other character. Though it is an S tier item and makes almost every run impossible to lose.

I would like ipecac WAYYYY better if tear height wasn’t a thing. Very strong item with explosion immunity though

Thought on wacky Wednesday - why not do like a First Wednesday of the month “Wacky Wednesday”. It would provide a good chunk of time to come up with a unique and entertaining run, while also building hype for upcoming month’s run!
Could also tie into the QOTD, where every first Wednesday, the qotd would be suggestions for the next month.

I love ipecac. Sometimes you just can't take it, but it hurts everytime. The soy milk/ipecac combo makes me giggle.
Sinvicta getting confused why his shots are going in a "flying V formation" is hilariously in character for him considering how often he avoids getting conjoined, the main feature of the transformation being a V formation of tears
Ipecac is an auto take for me. No questions asked. I either going down in explosions or I live long enough to be the hero.

Day 34 suggesting a new Wacky Wednesday run: entering empty rooms and clearing uncleared rooms activates Soul of Cain, and you can *only* obtain items found in red rooms and ultra secret rooms.
Sinvicta question response: Ipecac is something I always take personally, however, I usually take everything in most runs, even ludovico. I feel it's something about each seed and rng, however if I get a reroll machine I'll try for items that will be more beneficial. Sumptorium, honestly I can see it has it's benefits, but I don't care for getting buddies that croak from room or enemy attacks/hits, I don't count on them or like to, similar to how I can be okay with poke go charmed spawns especially a good vis or an eye brim turret, yet it's still not something I care to much for.

Ipecac with subtorium is incredibly dangerous to a player like me, who plays on console. Better late game, more difficult early game without good support items or extra health.

Sumptorium is so much fun. There is no extent I won't go to make a run of mine overpowered. Also Sinvicta, your shots spread out as soon as you got the conjoined transformation

What if for a Wacky-Wednesday type run you did another run of every room you get an item, but you add a caveat that if you take damage you lose X number of items. I remember you talking about the fact that the game doesn't feel as rewarding for good play some time ago and you tried a similar challenge where you would get an item after every room, but that run went off the rails really quick. This in theory would make it more rewarding if the run starts to get overpowered, but still creates a challenge because sloppy play could completely take away what makes the run so strong.
I adore Ipecac, I almost always take it when it shows up and I will admit that have not had a good run with sumptorium personally so I don't have nearly as many amazing things to say as you do.

Ipecac
Sumptorium is way too rough for someone like me who's bad at avoiding taking enemy damage in the first place. But if you're good at dodging then go by all means give yourself that edge. I just rather take it easy and slow. Ipecac is a must have I think, since the vomit bombs actually help me kill faster as I can barely hit most of my regular non-ipecac shots anyway. Faster kills = less damage taken, despite sometimes bombing myself in the face.
Ipecac all the way, one of the strongest items in my opinion I always pick it up and I think its a hard carry item
Spoon bender is definitely helpful with ipecac but ok
I think Sumptorium in an incredibly strong item. One of the strongest active items in the game, for sure. However, I don't know that it could win you a run on its own, say, if you didn't get damage or tears upgrades. I would put it in a similar category to powerful tear effects like Brimstone, or the likes of Incubus. The only downside is that it's an active item, which means you can't run something better in that slot.
As for how enjoyable the item is, I think it's really fun. Sure, it can trivialize the game's difficulty, but it's not a boring item by any means. Unlike knife or the fetus items, it doesn't overwrite synergies, it amplifies them. Shooting brimstone? Shoot 10 of them at once. Have death's touch tears? Now you have enough scythes to harvest every boss's soul at once. It's a great item, and you always love to see it.

If Isaac hasn’t picked up a Golden Coin within 2 seconds it will not only cost him a coin, but it will also give him a tick of damage. The damage is because he doesn’t keep up a healthy routine by not moving”

My take on ipecac is that it makes the game super fun (imo) and as I am playing a video game I will actively throw away good runs for the funny green tears. But to be fair it is a very risky item if you are trying to keep a streak or going to get an unlock with an already good build.
QotE: sumptorium is broken. It needs a lower limit tbh. Ipecac is high risk/ high reward. You have to be super aware of what’s around you.

Tech X is top tier but recently it screwed a synergy I had going with shielded tears. I have conflicting thoughts on those items rn

Sin, why don’t you ever bomb the re-roll machines in the shop when you know you’re not intending on buying anything else? It usually drops a couple coins and throws an extra re-roll out for the cost of nothing with something like ipecac
Sinvicta, why you don't care to blow the restock machine? it's a good source of keys, bombs or money and since you had ipecac it was free, usually it cost a bomb.

After I saw like 4 of your episodes I asked my parents to let me download steam and get BOIR back in the day and they said yes. I’ve been playing for 556 hours or around that. So thank you for a whole lot of watching your videos while I was playing or sleeping or at work, you’ve always been around.
Why not check if you can pick up a red heart after that first hit? You never once toched a heart.
With that plus the hp up you would know you have 2 red heart minimum?

Qotd: both are high risk high return and so no i do not see them as a guranteed win buth very powerfull and sumptorium certainly is safer and more of a won run than ipecac but if you get good with eihter isac will beg for the run to be over already!

I think both items are good but not op. You have to balance using them, with not dying.
Ipecac is not a good item. It is, though, one of the best synergizing items in the game. Its risk to reward and how it removes other styles of play makes it somewhat of a liability (much like epic fetus)
