@@kauzinhavok im sure you dont care 1 year later but the controller is very lightweight and feels different. You get used to it eventually and fall in love with the back buttons and the very quick triggers. Play around with different stick combinations. But face buttons stop working in about a month

For what it is, it's a very good price. Very reasonable. That being said, I'm fine with my standard xb1 controller and spending 150$ isnt worth it for me...but it's not overpriced.

The elite is trash, it's only under warranty for 3 months. Mine broke after 6 months and I ONLY used for competitive play. That $150 price tag should come with a better warranty. Very overpriced.

Honestly even though it would be bad overall for us consumers if Sony and Microsoft teamed up and made one console together, I would like it to happen because Sony can handle the hardware side and Microsoft can handle the software and online network infrastructure.

I have the same company's XBOX 360 controller I bought years ago. Wired as well. Still works well almost 10 years later.

I have my elite and I only use two paddles when I play gears or a shooter when I want to jump. I rarely have 3 or 4 plugged in. And I don't use batteries so I'm always wired. Wish I saw this many months ago. Convex on the left stick. Extended stick on the right.
Have both. The paddles on the elite are a huge difference compared to those buttons on the other. The buttons are a actually really hard to push in the other. (The ones in bottom)

it looks like a classic xbox original controller
afterglow lights up any color it's 50$ and it has 6 buttons on the back and a detachable wire to it that has to be pulled in but unplug if bumped. it also has a remap system and a voice adjustment and probably more stuff I can't think of.

Yeah I'd never buy one of those stupid expensive controller, and cables never bother me, most of my controllers spend their lives plugged in anyway, I hate running out of power, even worse on Xbox because they aren't rechargable. And I say, this Alanah is rather pretty, can you imagine if they put her in the daily fix, all the shutins arguing about who is prettier, her or Naomi lol
One minor benefit of this controller is that they use buttons over paddles. Paddles are great for ergonomics, but you can't set the elite controller down on your knee (or couch arm) without pressing the paddles. You always have to set it on a table.
I had this controller it felt ok it felt hollow though but after a few weeks the left analog stick was operating fine and was in the middle like it should be but was putting in the left input so any game I would walk or steer left

Well then I dunno what controller/tv you're using because it's not even noticeable. It's practically non-existent.
for most folks, it's not that serious. gaming is a hobby to wind down after work. Relaxing on the couch and playing a game for a couple hours instead of watching TV. unless you are ultra competetive and playing for money, wireless is sufficient.
for some games crt and for some others a monitor with 5 to 2ms input lag, either for training combos or speedruns,
then i have a 31" lcd for slow paced games but even there i use wired controllers, if the big hdmi tv has no gaming mode to reduce the visual lag, you will be in a limbo of visual/input lag , which doesn't matter if you dont care but well

i mean if you use the wireless even in a 0 input lag monitor there is going to be from the wireless controller non direct signal, hope im clear :)

I had this controller and after about 3 months of having the controller, on Battlefield 1 and GTA and other shooters, my controller started making my guns either stop shooting or automatically shoot without my input, I’m still dealing with this issue now as there are pretty much no ways that I know of to fix it. This issue is very very annoying and stressful!
The only things that I need are two paddles on the back (Jump/crouch).
Takes so little to get a person triggered on here now a days lol.

I bought one of these controllers over a year ago now and its still working fine. it feels plasticy because its made from plastic which is no big deal as you can wrap the pad with rubber or tape. I bought the Power A fushion for £25 and its already lasted 4 time longer than my last controller, which was a day one Elite that cost me £130. I also found the Elite controller padels were a very clumsy design as I could only use 2 of them as i found i kept knocking the other padels. The extra 2 buttons on the Fushion are a great design and for me in exactly the right place. its super easy to assign the buttons to the extra buttons and you can change them on the fly. Best functional controller i have ever owned. will buy another when this one finally quits.
I had one of these minus the bottom button ofcourse for my x360 and love it! Gonna have to find this one as my elite is falling apart.

By the way wired has a lower latency than wireless so it will help with the reaction time between the machine and the controller a lot. Possibly this will work well with PC as well.
But to know this I have to check a real review about this...as this video was not a great review for sure.... (Ryan was like if this is not expensive it cannot be as good as Elite...)

I have this. You can get it for like 25 not 50 and for the price its pretty good. Cheap feeling but still perfectly functional. Looking to get something else after using this for almost a year although it still functions fine
I'm curious.. do the sticks feel more similar to the xbox one controller or the xbox 360? The xbox 360 controller's sticks are more stiff and less sensitive move, which i prefer when aiming on shooters

Just got a new 1 today from eBay, I tried it playing infinite warfare and I'm very happy with it. True the d pad feels cheap and make noise. But the button in the back feels good. If you have big hands you'll have a hard time using them.
Bought it.I actually really liked the different interchangeable thumb sticks. And 2 weeks in she is giving me problems.strange problems like in the home screen moving up and down through the tabs. The cursor is stuck at the bottom and I can't move it up . But some screens seem to work. Any help would be sweet but I think it's done...fml I guess I'm back in the market for a control . I just want something different and awesome

Frankthetank Well the Elite is more than just the paddles lol. There are certain settings of course you can set for your controller and it's obviously feels like a regular default.

*Dont get this controller* I bought my first one and within a month or two the "A" button went out. So i went to the store and bought another one. Again, i used it for a couple weeks this time before bam! The "A" button went out again. It is a cheap controller and a waste of money do not waste your money on this controller.
I agree. They cheaped out on the controller membrane, making the buttons incredibly susceptible to sticking. My A button started sticking only after around 9 months... Big disadvantage when trying to jump in Rocket League.
BCB9614 agreed I personally don’t like the controller. My RB button would stick sometimes and that was my boost button so quite critically
If you have a gold Bugatti, A Gold Iphone 7, A gold set of teeth then you'd have no problem with this controller

Have you tried Xbox Elite Controller? I have and it's not useless! It's completely worth the money! It feels amazing! We have a upper edge in FPS games, We have many different sticks depending on your playstyle.

how durable is the Elite controller? because I've had 2 wireless and 1 wired that all got a drifting stick glitch and this was all within a year... I don't even know how it happens because with xbox 360 I never got the drift glitch and I had that and 1 controller for it for about 2 years

it takes getting used to but the button mapping is painfully convenient. from cod to the division and Destiny. compared to the scruff controller it's worth the price imo
This definately makes it worth it. I like the ability to remove everything and interchange it during gameplay and such. Also the software that you have to use is very easy to understand so its a big bonus.

My elite broke after 6 months. They are only insured for 3 months. Such a hefty price tag should have a much better warranty which it would if Microsoft had any faith in their product at all. My standard controller has outlasted my elite by over a year at least with much more use. This looks like a really good alternative to me.

It can even get worse. Scuff broken after 6 weeks. Burn controller after 2 weeks. My elite controller got it from launch and still working perfect.
But can you change the left stick and right stick type tho? The elite can select between smooth, instant, aggresive etc it kind of does make a difference but the only reason i would buy this is because it looks smaller like i prefer a ps4 size controller but for xbox. Yep about the same, the differences are in the rb lb bumps, and the analog cros, they are just a bit cilckier on the wireless controller, the trigger stops are great, and the extra configurable two buttons are cliky and easy to use.

The problem with the Xbox Elite controller is that there's little Quality Control. Drift, sticking, jiggling sticks, broken bumpers, etc.

He has an Elite and doesn't use the paddles? That's kind of the whole point of getting an elite. For those who have issues accidentally hitting the padddles on an elite, a nifty trick is to only use the short paddles in the top slots (gives you enough room to grip your controller with your pinky/ring fingers; and you use your middle fingers to press the paddles).
I like ol Ryan, he's got a certain character/professionalism he brings to his showings.
im sad that it doesn't have a swapable dpad but I would use the crossair dpad by default anyway. also wired doesn't really bother me either
This controller is would be awesome but it has massive delay on multi button functions for instance Left trigger+X it has a delay if you press it too fast you have to be firm and for competitive it gets really annoying when that 1 second needs to count
