People think $39 is expensive? Considering it's a stater kit with everything included, I think it's pretty reasonable. (Minus the seafood of course) It's all in one box and perfect for first timers. I would suggest they add some of the plastic coverings for the bamboo mat, but other than that, I think it's fairly priced. That soy sauce surely has to make it even better. And just think....now it comes with an instructional video from Hiro himself.
Ali dasoo People spend $20 or so a month on random boxes filled with useless comic book/anime/movie merchandise... all because it's 'rare' and 'limited edition.' Which of course it's not. It's all junk. But if you like it, fine, whatever. But this box could teach you a skill, that you only have to pay for once. Think about it.....people spend more money going to a cinema to see a movie for a few hours. Edit: Or spend more money on a shirt.
For April fools day, I'm being you, do a video with the roles reversed. So Hiro with the camera and the cameraman preparing something. it'd be hilarious.
I really appreciate that Hiro is encouraging people to make sushi themselves. I respect that at the upper level it's it's own art form and that people spend years and years mastering it- but it's also just such a versatile and kind of cheap food.
I love the way that fish looks and is presented; sadly, I don't really like the taste of fish, but this channel is one of the main reasons why I still try fish every chance I get, because I hope one day I can truly enjoy the art that these chefs present when I come upon them. I hope that I get the chance to visit your restaurant, because Hiro really does show us a beautiful talent in these videos. I can only imagine what his food looks like on a plate in your restaurant.
Ash I'm willing to try whatever seafood is around, it just usually doesn't appeal too much to me yet. pretty much the only types of seafood I've really enjoyed were mild fishes, crab, and shrimp.
Max McIntosh You probably just don't enjoy that strong fishy taste. The good thing about sushi is that raw fish actually doesn't taste very "fishy" at all.
Just a friendly note, I have discovered that the camera man's name is Charlie! :) I do agree that I would like to see Charlie try and make sushi too though. ^_^
+Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef I live in Mexico, and the only place that sells sushi in the city makes me feel like I'll get food poisoning if I eat there. Otherwise I'd love to try sushi one day.

Chef wasn't married?? 😀😀 Chef is getting married 😥😥. I have the biggest crush on chef 😌. But so happy he found his life partner!! Congratulations!! I hope you get to rest and don't have to cook for your guests.
While I can appreciate a kit to enable people to make it at home, personally nothing beats going to the restaurant. I enjoy watching the chef make it almost as much as I enjoy eating it and I always make a point of thanking the chef when I am done.
You've truly inspired me to start making sushi on my channel, I've learned so much from you, thank you Chef Hiro. I've always done, American dishes, from burgers, steaks, sandwiches, to BBQ, to Italian, French, Mexican, European inspired dishes, Thai dishes, etc... but being a massive lover of Sushi, I never thought I could make it, and I've learned so much from your channel, Thank you again Chef Hiro... cheers.

I appreciate the fact that Master Hiroyuki has a rice cooker, and has used it at home for years. Now I do not feel so ashamed of owning one myself. :)
MrPrimitiveThorn becoming a chef must have all kind of appliances.
Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef
I like how seriously Chef Hiro takes it. he doesn't make fun of the kit and follows the instructions:)
Jonathan Mcmanus following instruction means perfection.
But the look on his face at first says "this is an insult to my craft"
Japanese do with whatever they have to. Realists. it's the culture.
People think $39 is expensive? Considering it's a stater kit with everything included, I think it's pretty reasonable. (Minus the seafood of course) It's all in one box and perfect for first timers. +Justin M where are you going where movies are 40 bucks??? theyre like 10 bucks here,,
Lol 39 only? When he said expensive I thought it's over 70 for sure...
It is expensive considering how cheap u can get every item for far less if not bought as a kit.
For April fools day, I'm being you, do a video with the roles reversed. So Hiro with the camera and the cameraman preparing something. it'd be hilarious.

Could you please get the camera closer? I could not quite see the atomic level or molecular structure clear enough lol.
Might I introduce you to Gordon Ramsey's cameraman?

Do you not like all fish? Cause they can taste very different. Even raw fish tastes completely different from the same kind of cooked fish.

Ash is right sushi doesn't taste fishy at all. It's much better than cooked fish imo and I like cooked fish
it doesn't matter if it's 5:48am, if I see that notification then I watch
I wouldn't mind seeing the camera man making some food actually, you should do it guys.
Also, I really want to try sushi. You guys make it look so tasty.
it is good, but either make it yourself or get it from a quality place, cause otherwise its not going to do it justice.
