I went from the wheeled skidster to the tracked skidster about 6 years ago and I absolutely love it. Your door should have a dummy plug on it so you can remove the door and operate it.
@@WelkerFarms Here’s an idea. Have @TonyFast come check out the skid steer, send some wheels home with him, then take a field trip to @FastAgMontana to pick them up (make sure to say “good morning to the windmill”) & of course, take us w/ you! I love the farm-tuber collabs.
@Welkerfarms you can go into the menu and adjust the responsiveness of the controls to your comfort level and speed desired. Those tracks are probably the best all round design. Any track machine will be rough. It'll get a little better when the ground thaws. TV370 owner here! Congrats on the purchase
Thanks for the great video. Congratulations on the new skid steer. And it came from Iowa, my home state, so must have been well taken care up. You all have smiles so know you like the new machine-Great!!! Looks well designed and comfortable. Nice machine, happy for the Welker family. Enjoy the machine. All of you take care. God watch over all of you. Iowa farm boy from years ago.
That’s in amazing condition for 2,000 hours!!! And the visibility out of those is amazing. Especially on the front. Not my favorite hydros but great machines. Well done
Also it will never be smoother. On the 14 320 we owned it had the big flat style track that didn't tear up the sod. It was not smooth. Never will be. It's just how tracks function. However you will love the skid steer. We always loved running it. It makes work feel less like work. In winter we plowed commercial lots and in the summer it built swimming pools. It's best on soft dirt but will get the job done for sure.
That's an awesome skid loader! My uncle has the New Holland version c238. I put quite a few hours on it. A couple things for you to know, you can remove the door and operate. Simply pull the windshield washer fluid line off, pop the cylinder off the frame and unplug the latch and connect the plug to itself, then simply lift it straight up off the hinges and you're Good to go! Pro tip, you're sitting on an air seat! There's a little knob under your left leg, push or pull it. Ride comfort in that track machine is better than wheels, you'll agree after you use it for a while.
I love your new Red “ CASE” - trac loader , it’s Beautiful , it’s Rare , glad it Found a New home at my friends at WELKER FARMS in Montana Have a good one - from. Ron in Texas.
We have used a wheel Skidsteer for years in disaster cleanup. We just added a track machine that is similar to your new one. Love it, wish we had done it years ago.
Wait for it! Wait for it! Wait, wait, wait and "BAMM" there it is. Bob was just bitting his lip waiting for Nick to finish his little speel so he can get his words of wisdom in about the new skid steer. And as usual, it was well worth the wait Thanks for all you do.
Great video and what an awesome machine. Now all you need to make it the perfect winter time machine is a snow blower attachment. Super glad to see the new blessing you guys found. God bless
2 things about those tracks: first they are "all terrain" tracks, most tracks that come on skid steers are dirt tracks, so they work better in snow and they cost a bit more; second don't let the mud on the tracks freeze it will jam the tracks and prevent movement or damage the under-carriage/track or knock the track off.
Tracks v tyres is tricky - they each work better under different circumstances. We have both types of skid steers at work and both have their pros and cons. Nice buy, looks like a sweet machine.
Warn out taco in the winter is a blessing. Get snow tracks. And a separate set for dinner. Yes snow tires. At least you solved that cat 🐈 Meow problem with a snap. (Zach)
The new one is always different. The new one is generally much better. The different you will get used to. The better is all upward. I have used skid steers for over 40 years. The loaders now days are so unreal in their capabilities it's unreal. Have fun and get it done.
Hey Welkers! Congrats on the new CTL! For 2k hours it looks great!! Also, It’s 3800 static lift, it will lift just about double, but will tip just a little! We love our case skid steers and backhoes down here in TX! Our salesman picked up an SV 185 skid loader with a TV450 and moved around with it to prove it to us. Fantastic machines!
you are correct on those tracks when we bought ours we thought tracks would be great but in the end it does tear up the grass no matter how careful you are and it puts speed bumps everywhere in the driveways after a good rain storm..
Having always owned/operated CASE skid loaders for the past 20 years between a couple 1840s, 40XT, 60XT, 410, 430 Series 3 and now a SR 220, I'm amazed at the difference between feel of the controls of CASE vs Deere n Bobcat. Not even considering the annoyance of foot controls for the bucket n boom (that's up to operator preference 😋), the harder you push on the sticks in a Deere or Bobcat, the harder they push back. Some Deere n Bobcat loyalists boast that as a plus, but it just feels tiring if you operate it for any length of time at all. The way CASE setup their hydraulics from the earliest models, they never had that. It was always easy from inching to all the way forward or back. Now that all manufacturers are utilizing electronic controls, they're all easy to operate.
Looks exactly like the New Holland skidsteers we got at work (I know Case and New Holland are the same company now). Congrats on the new (to you) machine!
Nice addition, but I'm going to miss the old Skideere! Someone on UA-cam had a track loader and was using it to hold up something and wanted to get out to deal with the load and the loader wouldn't let him. Sacrifices must be made.
sorry im late to the party its 425 am the 3rd of march congrats on new addition looks like a good one have a great day good seeing ya again God bless be safe
When you snapped your fingers...... you went into the quantum realm!!! (I was a little disappointed your old skid steer didn’t turn to dust but oh well). Lol.
Congrats on the purchase, there is a way to get a smoother ride on that machine is to loosen up the track tensioner, but when you do that then you will be replacing drive gears and they ain’t cheap, it also is a lot rougher ride in the winter come summer it’ll be a lot smoother
Congratulations on the new Skid Steer, the ride will not improve with new tracks. I own one of these, not a fancy red one, just a poverty level case construction orange one. If you want a track skid steer that has a smooth ride you would have to get a caterpillar Skidsteer that has the torsion bar undercarriage.
Nice Skiddy! Door takes some getting used to. Our bobcat dealer gave us a end plug so we could take the door off and the machine would still think it’s on. Have had tracked machine too and I miss it. On a farm setting in gravel, the spinning isn’t as bad as asphalt.
oh baby....I'd love to have that machine on our place!! Awesome little loader! Hope ya'll are staying safe up there in the great white north. Josh #stoneyridgefarmer
Hey Nick, question from England, in a place where moisture is precious I wondered why you don't push all that snow into a big hole and use the melt water in the Big Brute. You've probably got a good reason but I just wondered.
I am pretty sure that machine has air ride and i think you said something about it somewhere. But maybe you gotta take some air out...i know it's silly but cheaper then new tacks
I always describe the difference in ride from a wheeled skid steer to a tracked is that in a tracked you feel every bump, but you only feel it once. In a wheeled skid steer you don't feel every bump, but the ones you do feel, you feel them multiple times.
You can adjust the sensitivity in the controllers if there too sloppy or tight feeling. It will tell you on the owners manual. I hated how mine came from the factory and wanted to trade it in for a different brand til I figured it out. Now I love it
To sum up your comment on the ride with track, on the road it will be rough from the vibrations of the tracks. But once you are in the dirt it or going over any bumps you will notice a huge difference. Hope this helps.
You'll get used to the iso controls about 5 min after hopping in it. Super user friendly and intuitive. Wheels definitely offer a smoother ride. Tracks do tend to float over some bigger holes a little bit better and you definitely do feel more planted on the ground. At the end of the day I'd still prefer tracks over Wheels.
I specifically went with the SVL 95 Kubota because of its monstrous lifting capacity. I come out of a case just because of that janky door, once you ever have a rollup door that’s all you will ever have. My 340 case was A 2017 model when I got rid of it about three months ago it had 840 hours on it. And that half low switch was replaced at least three times, in that seat safety switch finally had to be bypassed. That red sure looks sharp on that one.
You will love your machine. Mine is a 340 but they are a beast and will do anything you need them to do. Good luck replacing the tracks, it is a new challenge you will have to learn.
