When I watch this, I can't help but thank the Lord that Scott has full function of his arm after that accident. What a blessing to see everyone working on the same project. Great team effort.
Yeah bad as it was, that could have been entirely worse...
Dude millennial farmer, Larson farms, and welker farms videos all in a row! YES😀😀
Right!!??!!
I am amazed about how they can see how two different machines can be split apart and made into one that they need. Also, the degree of talent in the various skills that are used throughout the 'farming' (Imagineering - compliments of Disney while they were starting Disneyland). A problem - no, a challenge - comes up and is solved!
Definition of a farmer is a mechanic who fixes broken equipment and grows crops on the side
Nick, I’m so happy a livestock farmer will use the wasted fields! Bailing it for silage is even better than my earlier question, if it could be grazed.
Great job to the Welkers, not only fabricating to make what you have work but to be able to go through their thought process is excellent. They work as a team. Good job.If future mechanical engineers worked on a farm environment for a few years they would come out better engineers.
Love that Scott has such a smile during this project. He’s looking at all that 2 in sq tubing and endless opportunities of steel! You guys could make a monster big red now!
Imagine monster max next to the worlds largest big red! You could build the racks and all! Could go super viral? Would be cool no matter!
Projects like these are why I love this channel so much, besides the Welkers themselves lol. Love seeing the ingenuity and making something work with what you got.
How you can see that a tank on a different type of vehicle can be converted into a new accessory on a different vehicle. Now that takes great talent. LegArms giggling with excitement playing with his new toy. This family is totally awesome!🙂
I absolutely love the ingenuity of farmers. You all are doing an phenomenal job with doing what you can not to buy new, and repurposing the old equipment. Keep it up, I can’t wait to see the final product!
Super cool, Welker men! Thanks for having us along!!
More than shinny new farm equipment, I love the way you Welkers modify and fabricate to get the most out of all your equipment. Looking forward to whats next on the farm.
Absolutely love the teamwork needed to accomplish this. If anybody can do this the Welkers can, what a family!!!!!!!!
With all of those sparks flying I thought sure it was Ricky the major league welder under the welding hood. Your whole family is incredibly talented. That will be an awesome spray rig again.
Dad is one cool dude and lets the boys get on with the job in hand! Love it! Great videos indeed!
When I was an apprentice operator I was running a cat 289 and forgot to latch my bucket before loading trucks. I loaded prolly 10t and that’s when it came off into the back of the truck. This year marks my 5th year since then and not only do I check every attachment when I switch I also still get crap for it. The worse part was reloading the truck while all the clayco bosses watched cross armed. I’ll never forget it and am glad I didn’t get anyone hurt. Lol fun little story for you guys. CHECK YOUR ATTACHMENTS AFTER A SWITCH. Lol
Love how you guys can take something apart and rebuild it to fit your needs. 👍👍
Love the fact you guys build things, rather than go out and buy a brand new sprayer, then end up redoing it all over, because engineers designed it. 😉
I am glad you have someone coming to swath the weeds for silage! See if you can do all of your fields to save on using spray. You might find it cheaper.
These are the videos I wait for on this channel. Using ingenuity and building stuff. Don't have what you need to get the job done? To expensive to buy one? Then build one that suits your need and the satisfaction of "did it myself"
The work you guys undertake in the shop is just awesome!! I love watching you figure these things out and 'plasma' your way to a solution! 💥👍🤣
Hi Welker Farms and fans. Help this unfortunate 1st generation farmer, by watching his videos. (Clarke farms) I've been following him for 1.5 years now. Now in the spring his big tractor burned down. now this fall he first had a little son and then his house was totally destroyed by thunderstorms. But he still smiles :) Fun guy with a good mood and sense of humor. :)
Thank you for sharing this very unfortunate events with them.
I welded up parts and body frames for a "Big A" machines like this in a factory in Salina, Kansas in the late 70s. They had the 3 big wheels like this.
I've read about some farmers putting a hammermill in back of the chaffer on the combine so the chaff with weed seeds goes into the hammermill so the weed seeds are crushed and can't germinate before the chaff is distributed to the ground.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos! Thank you for allowing us to join you and see all that you do!
We commonly silage weedy fieldss for our cattle. Mustard, wild oats, thistle--they actually really help boost the protein content of the silage, and it cleans up the field too. Hope it helps you guys out!
I think the best about this channel is that nothing stops y’all
put a grain body with a auger on the old sprayer so it can be used like a grain trailer
As far weight goes it would only haul about 200 bushels.
Thanks guys for sharing another great video. It was amazing to watch the change in both machines. Take care and have a great weekend 👍
When i worked for Ag Chem we took off stainless tank off to weld up a crack and we took rear boom frame with booms on it folded part way foward to help stabilizes it the complete frame work and we did it in 2 hrs and tank was out
Anyone else who would love to watch terragator drag racing? Great video as always!
That plasma cutter is like a knife trough butter
That sure is going to be a huge project for you but all the rite equipment to do the job and I can't wait to see the outcome how it looks as a complete unit
I love your guy's content so much! You guys should make more videos especially of harvest cause those are like the best videos ever and whenever you guys are in the field doing something! I have been watching your guys videos for the past couple year's now and I have liked every video of yours! I am 15 years old and your guy's videos are the best part of my day! God bless stay strong boys ill catch ya in the next one!
You should look into the leather welding torch sleevea for your hose on your plasma. You can get really nice heavy duty tig torch sleeve. They are big enough to take a large plasma hose/cable, because water cooled tig torches have a water feed and return line and the electric cable. We have them on every mig, tig, and plasma torch leads
The new tank looks awesome - I love these kind of projects. Now it's time to start thinking about what fresh hell can be raised with the naked Terragator!
You guys do such an awesome job fabricating and making stuff work. Great video.
Big Brute is going to look amazing with the upgrade! Bravo for knocking it out in such a short time! Take care and God bless!
Those turbo nozzles are so nice to use with a power washer to clean stuff up!
Big Brute gets a shiny new back pack. Whoot Whoot Big Brute!! 🤪
I like the preview part at the end of the video. Great video and very enjoyable to watch!! I know it's been said before but you guys are so talented!
I drove a terra-gator type dry spreader called Big A back in the seventies for COOP. It was blast! All over eastern Colorado and western Nebraska. Corn stubble is hell on those tires. Constantly repairing flats. I hope you guys can invent some use for it.
I drove one machine like that one for years it had a 1800 gallon tank and 80 foot books it was a great unit miss them days ...I know you guys will make it work on big brute...good jod will be a great unit...👍
farmer ingenuity at its best, great job guys.
Great job! I have been watching your channel for quite a while and it’s my favorite channel! God Bless you all! Jesus continue to protect my brothers in Christ and I ask that you will bless their crops this harvest season will an abundance of grain in spite of the draught they endured throughout the summer. Bless them exceedingly above and beyond what normally happens during a harvest season. To God be the Glory!
Thanks for the great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Good job all is getting the stainless steel tank off the old sprayer. Now the project ahead is getting it on the big brute. Easy-right!!! Probably not. But all of you are really handy at this type of project. That old sprayer has good steel on it and seems to run fairly well. Hard telling what you can do with it. Looking forward to seeing the new tank going on big brute. Nice rain you got. Too bad it was not earlier in the year to help the crops. Good to see all of you. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks. Take care and be safe. God bless all of you. The Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Great value there at $2500. A ton of value in just steel, hydraulic parts, and hardware!
Awesome job cant wait to see it in action you guys can fabricate anything keep up the great work cheers
I love it when a plan comes together! Blessings
A nice set of stainless steel saddle tanks from a semi with a cool as hydraulic tanks.
WOW you guy's work together so GOOD!!!!
NOTHING is gona stop YOU ALL!!!!! Nice WORK!!!!!
holy smokes was way more complicated than- "lets put the new tank on"-. you guys are some talented.
At the end of August I had 5.2 inches of rain in tow days. In Sioux Falls, SD to say the least we need it.
Man i could watch you guy fab all day!!! Good work Welkers!!!💯💯💯
Farmer ingenuity and engineering at its best. Well done gentlemen.
Coming together beautifully!!!
That's looking real good!!!!
You now have a mega brute!
The tera gator is a useful mac in its ow own right. There are several near us that spread like ect. They do a good job and don't hang about .
I enjoy watching you guys work on equipment
We need a Hollywood on the door, Brute whould find it nice having its masters name on it...haha
I know a guy who turned one of those into a dump truck and a log hauler. For getting trees out of the woods in nasty areas. We always jokes about if someone mounted some bush hogs on that thing you could cut swamps
If you can find a dry tank, fertilizer tank, you can spread dry fertilizer with it or, get another tank and use it to help haul fuel or, you could make like a auger tank on it, can use that as a self propelled grain cart. Great video, cheers :)
The terregator would make for a nice firetruck. Maybe put an old Tank off the Spraying trailer on there...
A Self Propelled GRAIN KART!!!! Maybe you could covert the terragator into a grain kart since the Big Buds don't have a pto.
Love the videos. The terrigaror u can probably put a back to a semi grain trailer on the back, and make it like another trailer to drive around.
Great work Boys, that's natural Engineering Farm style, Bob you have taught them well, that job would have cost thousands in a Engineering shop, well done, regards Trevor.W.Bacelli. Biloela Qld Australia.
I love when the Welkers stop framing and go to fab ing.
Great work getting the new tank ready for mounting .Its going to be awesome .👍👍😊
Amazing in your updates this year , Terragator, skid loader and plasma cutter and I believe all 3 have paid for themselves. I was thinking about putting the engine of the gator in the auger tractor and the skid loader and plasma cutter have paid for themselves all ready.
Maybe put a fertilizer box on the Gator or a manure spreader. It's always awesome to see you guys do big jobs in little space you have to work with. Of you could make the Gator into a water hauler for emergencies . Love your videos waiting to see the final looks of Big Brute.
You guys (father and sons) are having to much fun…good for you all.
I think it looks better with the stainless tank up close to the cab, it looks more complete. Nice job.
GREAT STUFF GUYS! Thanks for bringing us along!
Our pleasure!
Nothing better then you guys working on equipment. The best.
I love the fire stick and a sledge hammer, gets it done fast, and cheaper than using the gas axe. I love how you guy's repurpose old machinery, it beats a payment any day, plus it costs thousands to repair the newer stuff if you don't have any mechanical skills, and plastic has it's limits. God bless.
Looks awesome!!!
you could take the terragator and find a fertilizer spreader box for it too if you don't make it a fire truck that would be sweet too
Cool project ! 💪👍🏼
You said something in the video i was gonna comment on then i forgot. Oh well great video. Oh yea now i remember i miss you time lapse vids you did of your builds. Thanks for sharing
Some of the best mechanical engineers you’ll ever see, are farmers.
put a cheep rain water tank on the back of the TG and turn it in to a dedicated fire fighter vehicle then build a cultivator / ripper kinda like what graders / dozers have on the back to make fire breaks.
One of the very best Welker videos I've seen.
Good luck with gabbing everything up on the new weed killer body!!!! Hopefully all will go smooth with the hydraulic lines and wiring!!!???
Nice to see you working on Big Brute :-)
Great channel!! 👍👍
You guys are good fabricators!
Nice work on the project !
You needed Coby with the 3 of you in the quad, can't wait for the finished product
Love watching you guys, That S.S. tank looks so much smaller sitting on B.B.
I do jobs start to finish on big trucks and you are right Nick, there is always something over looked every time.
Even being ancient and probly not fully functional, that's still a pretty dang good deal in my opinion. Lots of good decent parts and metal.
18:27 "OooooYAHH! step in to a Slim Jim!
Hello great video. Have yall thought about making 2 full size Crains for the shop run from end to end. And the other side of the shop for the second Crain.
Big brute is coming along fine!! Should be great!
Big brute is looking so good with its new tank ,I think it’s a good look for big brute ,great job lads 👍👍
Great progress!
Nothing, absolutely nothing phases you guys in terms of work/fabrication, brilliant. Huge fan. 👍👍👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
Awesome to see Bob on the Case……skid steer 😆. Tanks for another excellent video 🤙🏾
I was looking for a raise.........😊
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob 😁
Nice work guys!
And thats how you do that boys and girls!
We use our shop vac on the fill tube to stop the fluid it works pretty cool
Nice upgrade. Nice rain.
