its not really a "which expansions should you buy" but more of a "what expansion is more expensive and what do you get" because you litterally said that you only placed morrowind so low because its basicly free but still an expansion
I have a genuine question? Does the 60$ dollar high else collectors edition upgrade come with all the previous expansions. Idc if it doesn’t include the dungeons, I’m just wondering if it comes with greymoor, elsweyr, summerset, Blackwood? If that’s the case the 60$ price seems worth it, but on the PlayStation store it doesn’t elaborate any difference between the collectors edition and the simple high isle upgrade.
I've bought balckwood + all other older DLCs bundle for dirt cheap during christmas sale. I'm a new player in ESO, I prefer solo experience in MMO environment, with mostly PvE and occationally a bit of PvP and i found this game is perfect, probably the best MMO I've played so far.
I treat eso as my own anime story so I like doing the story quests but want to also do a lot in terms of “endgame” and during the journey wanting to make friends in the world. I started on summer set just picked random zone at the beginning and it’s overwhelming but nice!

The list is something like yours. Overall advice to everyone who is interested: wait for sale. 50% sale is a huge deal, seems like they do these sales during events, so be on alert)
So anyone watching Preordering high isle gets you all the expansions I'm pretty sure. It's a lot of content. As for dlc the best one is the 4 in 1 pack mentioned in the video. It's the first 4 dlcs from ESO. It has dark brother hood and thieves guild which imo was overlooked in the video. If you like stealthy stuff and stealing the thieves guild line is actually really fun. The zone is ok but Main city feels much more vertical compared to the rest of the game. I also agree grey more is good because scrying and excavation is good even if it's boring to grind.
Actually, the BEST way of doing this, is: - Buy the base game (includes Morrowind), and is OFTEN on sale for $6 to $10). - Play it a bit. If you like it, THEN buy a FULL YEAR subscripton. You get all the benefits, can play everything except latest expansion, AND you get ALMOST 20,000 crowns. - Use the crowns to buy the best DLCs from this video. If you do not play a lot, but wanna stay subbed: ignore the rest of the DLCs and buy them for next year's subscription crowns. - Make sure Blackwood is one of the first DLCs you get, because you can just hurry over there and do a couple of quests, to get a companion, that's super-useful in all solo situations. - Do NOT burn through all your crowns in one go. Buy DLCs with zones (not just Dungeons), one at a time, and play through them before buying the next. The reason is that other DLCs may come on sale, so you could save quite a lot. Also, other crown-stuff may come on sale which are handy, like pets that adds inventory space, so you may need to save some crowns. - Consider Summerset early if you're a crafter, since it adds jewelcrafting. It's also a great zone to quest in, imo. - Feel free to IGNORE latest expansion (currently: High Isle) for a long time, because you have TONS of contents to play before touching it. Up to you, though. WARNING: As this video covers near the end, which should have been said in the beginning: Do NOT buy SINGLE DLCs, especially Thieve's Guild, Dark Brotherhood, and ANY Dungeon DLC too quickly. CAREFULLY check out the packs to see what they contain. If you buy a Dungeon DLC, and really want a pack for something else it contains (pet, armor set, etc), you do NOT get a discount if it has DLCs you already bought.
Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Orsinium are the only three you really need. The first two have skill lines tied to them and the third has Maelstrom Arena which is a PvE Solo Endurance arena that gives you access to the best weapons in the game. Everything else is purely optional. As for the Chapters just get them all by getting the Collectors edition of the latest one. You should really have all of these.
@@vagrantender Well, I meant if you are just buying the game for the first time if you get the latest collector's edition it comes with all the chapters up to that point.

Another great tip for players!! When the new expansion comes out, don’t buy it straight away, unless you really want to and if you go the money, I believe around August they make a big event where the community do stuff together and they give a bunch of free items! And I believe that expansion also has a sale on it. That’s how I got Summerset and how I got the best house which was the Psijic Villa. Some of these stuff are a one time deal and will never release ever again! If that’s not your cup of tea, then wait for Black Friday or after Xmas and you can buy them for like 20$ instead of 60$
There's nothing quite like soloing a harrowstorm. I completely agree, it really blows that most good sets that are not on trials are on dlc dungeons though.
For all new players, all UA-camrs say “there’s tons of content” yes but here’s the catch. The important epic gears you need for end game are not in there. ESO puts epic gear and SKILLS across expansions. Forcing you to buy them eventually. It’s a trick really. I think UA-camrs don’t want the heat so they won’t say it.
ESO+ is the best value subscription in gaming (besides, arguably, GamePass). You get access to everything in this video, plus the unlimited craft bag (essential if you plan on crafting in this game at all), a larger bank, the ability to dye clothing, and you get 1650 crowns per month, which in real money essentially breaks you even for the sub. I couldn’t play without it.

@@ofimdazueira132 Not really. Just get in a decent guild and they (or someone in) the guild will have a transmute station you can use (usually along with most if not all set stations as well).
Lol I could have used this video on Saturday! I just got my wife into ESO again after having been inactive since before Morrowind, and she had like 8k crowns that she used to but Morrowind, Clockwork City, and Summerset.
Totally agree with you about the antiquity system. Between scrying and excavating the whole antiquity system functions as it’s own side game and you could easily log into eso JUST for the antiquity system gameplay and have plenty to do.
I used to be in a treasure hunting guild when the game was new. Was really fun. Would roam the map looking fore chests. I was in another group that looked for all the musical instruments that were hidden in the Greymoor expansion. Would be cool if the antiquities system could be made into a group event somehow.
I was considering ESO, but being forced to pay for this amount of dungeons after already spending money on expansions is a bit absurd.. Thanks for the video though!
the expansions such as morrowwind and elsewyre DO INCLUDE the classes you can buy the classes separate if you don't own the expansions, but when I bought the standard edition of the expansions the classes where already included and that makes 100% sense
Would love to see an updated guide with the new chapter coming up. So confusing coming back to this game after years away with so many new sets, and skill lines etc
All story DLC but none of the dungeon dlc. I have eso plus at the moment but always buy the new story content. If I decide to stop eso plus I will always have the content. My least favourite have been the brotherhood and the thieves guild content. I just found them boring and not fun. The problem with the dungeon dlc is that it takes forever to get a group through the dungeon group finder.
Thank you! I have had the game for years, but never played it. Just starting out, kicking myself in the butt for not starting it nearly 7 years ago.... EDIT: I have the Tamriel Edition, so I can get started on what's included there after the base game.
I wish you would have mentioned the story. Like if I have summerset, what DLCs do I need to start/finish the overall stories? Or do any dungeon DLCs standalone or do they fit in with the stories of other chapters/story arches.
I liked this. The idea of saying the valor of the DLCs, specially those that are mainly PVE, is amazing. But half way through the video I already forgot were we had started. I wanted to give this feedback to maybe do a setlist or just put the names in the screen to help us visualize what to prioritize from here. I mean, I'm a PVE guy, but I prefer any piece of content that has lore to some that does not. And this was not very clear to me. I'm sorry if I just missed the point of this video. This might occur too :P
I mean i can get Eso and all 8 chapters including Necrom for $20 on PSN Store, i feel like that would be more than enough content for someone who is also a parent haha
Just finished the main story from Blackwood, enjoyed it but man is quite repetitive!!!, there is a lot of things that make no sense (No spoiler), but I truly liked obtaining the companions and the Antiquities. I wouldn’t mind doing Elswier again with a new character.
I don't understand how anyone can play ESO without ESO plus for one reason alone, the unlimited crafting bag. I tried playing once or twice without and you can't pick up anything in dungeons because with such a limited bag space and no crafting bag your full in 2 seconds. TBH if you want to get into crafting i think it's virtually impossible to play without eso plus which sucks. For that reason alone i can only play this with ESO Plus, then 2nd benefit is not having to pay for DLC's separately as i can play them anytime i have ESO plus. I haven't played this game in years and only played a few DLC's though so i came to this video looking for what DLC's may be most important or have coolest features to figure out which DLC's to focus on first. EDIT: Your video only focuses on dungeons/sets. I was mostly interested in other features like houses, collectables, pets, recipes, furniture, story, etc you can get from each DLC as well as unlocking new game mechanics. Sadly this video doesn't seem to talk about the topics i'm interested in. I guess i care more about quests and collectables and this youtuber is mostly just interested in dungeons/sets only.
Honestly, this one dude is pushed by YT quite a lot, yet he's the worst ESO channel there is. He usually just reads guides you can read yourself in game, and he has weird priorities
ESO plus you save the crowns from your sub. Buy the DLCs with the Crowns. Then you can play the crown bought DLCs when you are not subbing. Save crowns to buy things during non sub times, if you aren't using them to buy DLCs during sub times. Subs do have a very good benefit if you plan to be a crafter, unlimited resource bag, keeps your resources from cluttering your bags. Subbing has more benefits then just being a sub. You get your sub's worth of crowns, you get access for free for DLCs (this gives you a chance to see if you like the DLC(s), unlimited resource bag, and doubled bag/bank/house space. Also for people who like free or esthetics, dye and a few free things for your house from the crown store. Free houses from some of the quests and inn rooms accessible for all characters (subbed or not), for one of them, make sure you purchase the DLC for crowns to keep access to that house.
@@Michael64425 i rarely pay subscriptions, excluding eso, only did it twice, for wow a couple of months, and a on Tribal wars... after you pass the 100 village mark its impossible without a manager account, i got to around 2500 villages during 4 years of play

Hello! Thank you for the video! I want to start playing ESO but I'm a little confused about all these dlcs and expansions. I have no experience with the game. What I understood from the video, someone, who buys a monthly subscription, doesn't need to buy dlcs and expansions but just the base game? If so, will they also have all races and classes? And then how does Bethesda sell new expansions? I want to play the game on my PS5 but there are multiple versions available for purchase. I don't want to buy any version with cosmetics, I just want to get what is necessary to play the game with its latest and all contents without any limitations and if I can do that by purchasing the base game and then using the subscription system it is the most reasonable because this is the cheapest method! On PS5 we have Base Game Edition, High Isle Collection, High Isle Collection CE, Necrom Collection, and Necrom Delux Collection. I'm very confused about the content they offer because as a WOW player, when we buy the latest expansion, we get everything the game has to offer. If anyone plays ESO on PS, could you please tell me which version I should get? Thank you...
By now you have probably determined this, but the Collections contain all preceding chapters along with the one named. They do not contain the dungeon pack dlcs. Anything that says CE or Collectors/deluxe edition is the same with bonus cosmetics (& usually a couple xp scrolls that last 30 mins ea, easily replaced by cheap potions bought with in game gold). If you want all races & classes (except Imperial), buy the Necrom collection, play with that for a while, then sub to ESO+ for the dlc dungeons. If you just want to try out the game for minimum cost and are good with the original 4 classes, buy the Base Game & sub for ESO+. You will not get access to the latest Chapter(Necrom at this time) or some classes without adding on this way, but the other zones & dungeons should be available.
So I have never played Elder Scrolls before, what do I need to buy in order to be current with the newest release? (I don't need to be a completionist)
Really informative video I just subscribed to your channel because of this. I’m not familiar with ESO but I’m tempted since The ESO Deluxe Collection: Necron is on sale for $26.39 right now for Xbox. Is this a good deal? I’m mostly a solo player, am I going to struggle?
Orsinium for maelstrom arena if you want to do dps is like, probably the main one since the bow and staff are both really good through almost every patch.
Just buy the most recent chapter, it will include all previouse chapters. Then ESO plus is worth it for just the crafting bag, then access to all the other dlc content. Also you get crown every month, that equal the value of subscription
So the Expansion i got to introduce me into ESO was Summerset im just curious about is how do you craft in ESO no one really explain that when i played the game cause mostly that is one thing i enjoy in alot of MMO's is gearing up on my own items yeah dungeon's are nice but its mostly your own handy work that really cuts it till end game or what not.
I play eso on PS4 so maybe I’m just not aware of it but did they increase the price for eso plus for y’all on pc? Cuz when he said $16.50 I had to double check that mine hadn’t gone up without me noticing but nope it’s still 15 bucks on psn.
i know this is a old video but i wanted to ask cause im not sure, so do you have to pay for all of the dungeons or is there some just within the expansion. are these dungeons more for cosmetics?
Almost all videos fail to mention that the most important thing in all this is that the gear you get from these DLCs has no equal in the base game, meaning, all top builds in the game are using at least 2 different DLC sets and a mythic (for which you need a bunch of other DLCs), effectively making the game pay2win, as there are no base game builds that can compete with those, in both PvE and PvP. Also, anybody who's going to tell you otherwise is actually using some of these gear sets, they just don't want this idea to spread to avoid nerfs. You NEED DLCs to compete. If you're playing casually and are just going to roam around questing and exploring then you don't need anything. But don't expect to go to Cyrodiil and not get shit on.
question: I got the base game with morrowwind included, If I just play that to begin with( wanna do as much free as possible), and I reach max level( if thats possible), then what are the benefits on questing etc on the newer zones?
The bundles they offer confuse me. I already own the base game and a few of the expansions but to get all the ones I don't own I have to buy a bundle that includes the base game as well as the expansions I already own, but doesnt seem to include all those dungeons and what not. Probably why I haven't touched the game in years.
i wish they would better streamline all this stuff, Its not immediately clear to me which ones i own with eso plus and what i still need to buy, also some has unlocks that require you to buy anyway, its all pretty confusing.
ESO+ does not include permanent access to anything. When your sub expires, you will no longer have access to any content that is not greyed out in the DLC section of the crown store in game. You will retain any progress you made along with any gear you acquired while subbed, but won't be able to return to those areas until you either resub or buy the expansion in question. Anything that is greyed out in the crown store/dlc section, you have permanent access to due to past purchase (s). Alas you never get access to the current Chapter (Necrom at this time) unless you buy the upgrade. Chapters currently are being released once a year, typically around June. Also, ESO+ does not grant access to any classes that were not included in one of your purchases. You will have to either buy the chapter they were released in or buy the class upgrade in the crown store.
What dlc should I buy for Necromancer class? I don’t know which one they don’t explain it very clearly. Google says it’s Elsweyr but I dont wanna buy this if it doesn’t include the class
Each dungeon unlocks as you level up. DLC’s unlock at LVL 45. Therefore those dungeons are scaled to that level unless Veteran makes it harder & you can trigger hard mode reading the book or scroll at final boss. Doing it hard mode pledge gives 2 keys vs 1. In new update hard made will give you 4 instead of 2! 😊
Will this game work Well with an i7-6700k and a gtx 1060 6 gig for 1080p stable 60 fps ? And do i get all content with eso plus. One reason i dont game This game is becus of all the dlcs typ many to buy.
The only dlc I care for it the one that give new tools, companions and mini-games. The way characters walk about when using a mouse & keyboard looks so false. I mean, who walks sideways like that while turning instantly?
I GOT OMNICRON ORDERED CHINESE ATE 1 EGGROLL HALF WONTON SOUUP ... TRIED TO PLAY ELDER SCROLLS...BLEW CHUNKS ALL OVER MY RAZER HUNTSMAN KEYBOARD MY ROOM MATE TOOK IT APART AND CLEANED IT FOR ME .... I OWE HER ...AS SOON AS I CAN GET OVER THIS FEVER
The game is barely playable without the subscription so I'd say subscribe anyway even if you just want to do the main game stuff. Like the fucking material bag is a must have just to not have the game be extremely tedious.

Great video for me as a new player! Thanks for your outstanding guides!
Murkmire was included in the dialy rewards for November 2018.
eso plus best thing is the extra bag space...lol
Correct haha,no way would I play ESO without the craft bag, unless wanted a permanent headache!
Amen. Inventory management is a chore without it.
@@Michael64425 i rarely pay subscriptions, excluding eso, only did it twice, for wow a couple of months, and a on Tribal wars... after you pass the 100 village mark its impossible without a manager account, i got to around 2500 villages during 4 years of play
I had ESO, and the quests in murkmire are different and kinda fun area, not my first buy but maybe later with crowns.
Thanks another excellent breakdown .My favourite DLCs
are Clockwork City,Greymore and Orsinuim,oh and Summerset.
Agree that Murkmire probably the weakest, but all relative as don't really dislike any of the DLC that much. There again I obviously think ESO is great overall so pretty biased haha!!
(I don't need to be a completionist)
after watching: almost every dlc and expansion is Feeeeantastic!
Get them all, all of them are good I'm six years running with eso online
Just buy the most recent chapter, it will include all previouse chapters. Then ESO plus is worth it for just the crafting bag, then access to all the other dlc content. Also you get crown every month, that equal the value of subscription
So the Expansion i got to introduce me into ESO was Summerset im just curious about is how do you craft in ESO no one really explain that when i played the game cause mostly that is one thing i enjoy in alot of MMO's is gearing up on my own items yeah dungeon's are nice but its mostly your own handy work that really cuts it till end game or what not.
Yes! Thank you for putting this out!
No problem
Are any of these dungeons solo-able? I love to play ESO, but don't have a lot of friends to play with
What system are you on and what server?
@@MrZombieTickler PC and NA
Murkmire is one of my fav zones
I play eso on PS4 so maybe I’m just not aware of it but did they increase the price for eso plus for y’all on pc? Cuz when he said $16.50 I had to double check that mine hadn’t gone up without me noticing but nope it’s still 15 bucks on psn.
i know this is a old video but i wanted to ask cause im not sure, so do you have to pay for all of the dungeons or is there some just within the expansion. are these dungeons more for cosmetics?
Haha feel the same about murkmire but needed to for my build
I liked murkmire
@@Anomalyy666 it reminds me of karamja from runscape
Completed the base game. What dlc's are good for new zones & quests?
Only issue I seen, well heard, is it's Asylum Sanatorium iirc for clockwork, what you said was no where near it
ESO+
wow, instead of these dungeons, you can buy 5 or 6 AAA games.
question: I got the base game with morrowwind included, If I just play that to begin with( wanna do as much free as possible), and I reach max level( if thats possible), then what are the benefits on questing etc on the newer zones?
Pbliviom was my faforite i love em
Good video bro!!!
Did we play the same Greymoor? It's my least favourite chapter by quite some margin.
what set are you wearing? the sauron looking armor
I love Clockwork City for the cute dialogs, and Murkmire for the terrible NPC music ... it's so bad, it's actually good.
I love your content man!
honestly hope ESO+ membership comes on Sale Blackfriday.. id love a year sub..
I keep seeing morrowind as basegame, but on the standard disc for my alt it's not base.
What dlc should I buy for Necromancer class? I don’t know which one they don’t explain it very clearly. Google says it’s Elsweyr but I dont wanna buy this if it doesn’t include the class
Murkmire and Dark Brotherhood are my favourite ones by far.
do dlc and their dungeons scale to your level? or can I play whatever dlc I want at whatever level I am?
Each dungeon unlocks as you level up. DLC’s unlock at LVL 45. Therefore those dungeons are scaled to that level unless Veteran makes it harder & you can trigger hard mode reading the book or scroll at final boss. Doing it hard mode pledge gives 2 keys vs 1. In new update hard made will give you 4 instead of 2! 😊
How hard is it to get an average player though them dungeons on vet to get them monstar sets
Also check out golden vendor every weekend in cyradil. Different monster set pieces each time
ESO Plus is not 16.50 a month. You do get 1650 in crowns per month while subbed, though.
How can i use Orsinium, if i bought the Blackwood Chapter and have eso+?
Will this game work Well with an i7-6700k and a gtx 1060 6 gig for 1080p stable 60 fps ? And do i get all content with eso plus. One reason i dont game This game is becus of all the dlcs typ many to buy.
Which set parts you use in this outfit?
Im more of a fan of sunny desert areas like alikr
isn’t it less expensive to subscribe to eso plus? and then use your crowns to slowly purchase dlc’s you want or like?
Great video
Fighting dragons in elsewhere is just earrape on xbox as 20 ppl stand there throwing spells
The only dlc I care for it the one that give new tools, companions and mini-games.
The way characters walk about when using a mouse & keyboard looks so false. I mean, who walks sideways like that while turning instantly?
I just can buy 2
1 blackwood
2 Elsweyr
or
3 Greymore
So if i get eso plus and get items from the dlc will i keep the dlc content if i cancel my sub
Do the 3500 crown bundles go on sale?
What dlc can I get to buy all races classes and zones and stories without eso plus
I've bought every expansion and still only play dungeons. My first dungeon was at cp 170 and got hooked now cp 2100.
i have most dlc and same honestly. Dungeon crawler.
You can get wing hussar armor?
Or just buy ESO plus 😜
Question I take it these item sets only drop in these dungeons ?
Good list.
Very disappointing I can't just buy the fully upgraded version and get all the dlcs. I ain't buying this. This is an immediate turnoff.
I wonder where high isle would go on your list now
I GOT OMNICRON ORDERED CHINESE ATE 1 EGGROLL HALF WONTON SOUUP ... TRIED TO PLAY ELDER SCROLLS...BLEW CHUNKS ALL OVER MY RAZER HUNTSMAN KEYBOARD MY ROOM MATE TOOK IT APART AND CLEANED IT FOR ME .... I OWE HER ...AS SOON AS I CAN GET OVER THIS FEVER
Help me here it says 300 danish kr for Blackwood dlc right ? But i have eso plus am im i forced to buy the dlc
No, you get access to it while you have eso plus.
Can someone tell me what is the armor Brah is wearing ??
The game is barely playable without the subscription so I'd say subscribe anyway even if you just want to do the main game stuff.
Like the fucking material bag is a must have just to not have the game be extremely tedious.
absolutely none.
