      I thought san you add after the names was Japanese, not Chinese but everyone uses it. Is everyone automatically assuming words from manga can be adopted towards Chinese or is San an actual term in Chinese as well. This is the only thing in the comments that disturbs me as a Japanese, because I am kind of annoyed about always being generalized along with Chinese.

    • @MissTwoSetEncyclopedia
      @MissTwoSetEncyclopedia 3 роки тому +59

      @@hamstersdailylife4938
      I don't think anyone in the comments think Asian = Chinese = Japan, "they all have slanted eyes, right ?", if that's what you're annoyed about.
      Brett and Eddy are Taiwanese-Australian, but they have followers from all over the world, including many Asian countries, each one with its culture. So, people watching their videos are perfectly aware that Chinese and Japanese are different.
      It's just that Brett and Eddy like Japan, they were there several times and Eddy speaks a little bit of Japanese (just basic conversation skills, he isn't fluent at all). They're both into manga and anime and sometimes like using its codes. That's why their editors are called "Editor-san", their violins "violin-chan", and the musicians they look up to "senpai".
      It's also because their editors are anonymous. Since we know almost nothing about who they are, calling them "Editor-san" is a way to give them a name, so that us followers can talk to and about them in the comments. Same goes for those who write the subtitles, fans are just trying to show their appreciation for their work by calling them "Subtitler-san".
      I can totally understand why it can annoy you as a Japanese, but just be sure than people in the comments aren't trying to disrespect your culture, nor do they think that all Asian people use "-san" when talking about others.
      I hope that helped. 😊

    I imagine it's especially hard to compose and try to avoid plagiarism when you already know so many pieces by heart and have played/practiced a hell lot through out your music career. Like, sometimes your brain try to follow the old memory footsteps just because it's a familiar chain of notes/melody or something.

    The composition makes me imagine being in 1800's Europe, under a tree near a lavender and cotton field with a windmill in the background. Whilst resting on the tree, some horse carriages pass by and I raise my straw hat to them and they raise their hats back.
    Very relaxing and nostalgic, like living a simple but very good life.

Woodsmoke thick in the air, a cozy fire crackling, the chill of autumn just beginning to set in. It fills me with a strange sort of warmth I can’t exactly describe. Man, I really love that descending D major pentatonic ostinato you got there at 9:52. Even though you're not a composer, you guys really do have the absolute potential to become one to make elegant violin solos. I'm 15, and I've started taking Music Theory and composing classes. Composing and making music is a beautiful thing and stressful thing, you have an idea in your head and you plop it on a software program and it doesn't work for you, and you get the different version of it.
    The violin solo that Eddy made is absolutely beautiful, and the transition is just beautiful. Kudos to you guys!

    "And that was the last time anyone saw Brett alive"
    Eddy: alone in the shot without Brett looking kind of giddy
    idk why but this sequence of events seems kinda morbid

    ... that moment when Eddy's composition sounds totally like something I would write. As an actual composition major. Color me impressed (and a little flattered that we share stylistic choices).

    I would rate 8.5/10. Since you aren't a composer, that was pretty awesome. I rate how good a piece is by if I can be listening to it and just kind of trail off, then I know that it is very easy to listen to. Great job, Eddy!
