Had a coworker, let's call him Bud. Bud had to be in his 80s, he was VERY old. He was also very deaf. I was rolling a cart of tagged goods (we worked at a thrift store) and he was standing right in my way, and I asked him to move at least ten times, each time a little louder, finally a manager noticed and guided him away so I could pass. This was a regular occurrence. Finally it came to a head when a manager was driving a forklift and Bud was directly in front of him, and no matter how loudly the manager asked him to move, Bud just couldn't hear him. At this point at least five different people (each busy with their own jobs) were SCREAMING at Bud to move but he just couldn't hear us, but finally someone who was free guided him to another area. To this day I firmly believe Bud was too old to be working, it was just unsafe for him and his coworker's, I have no idea why he was still working, I imagine he had family to support or something. It was really sad.
Edit: I should have elaborated, Bud isn't deaf but is definitely hard of hearing and should be wearing hearing aids

If he is working I'm sure he has a good reason. Working a job helps some elderly people stave off dimentia. These people tend to go downhill when they no longer have a routine.

Poor Bud. He really sounded like he needed hearing aids. Maybe he couldn't afford them, but also his generation doesn't like to admit a need for help.

Story 10 about the Alzheimer's patient made so angry, I could cry. Why weren't they doing their charts?! You can't be negligent when people's lives are in the line. There's probably other stories like this, but I paused there for a bit to comment. I have a big heart for the elderly, and I hate that this poor man went through that..

Easier said then done. Literally every other patient in a nursing home is in a similar state or dying. It's always going from one fatal emergency to another

@gigaBeef313 ? It's not hard to do a patient's daily chart.Tbis patient wouldn't have had this "fatal emergency" if the worker had been doing the charts because the issue would have been apparent then.

Regarding story 32, manufacturing machines do not care. They will move and do their task, crushing or cutting etc anything or anyone in their way. Following ALL safety protocols, locking the machine, turning them off, etc, is a must. Said from someone who's worked in manufacturing most of my life

I will always respect the person who makes a mistake and then owns up to their mistake. All people make mistakes, it's the people who lie about them that are the problem. Own up to your mistake and use it as a learning experience. I have pretty much failed at absolutely everything a person can fail at in life. I took responsibility for these mistakes. I always learned from my mistakes and usually didn't make the same mistakes; although sometimes I did.

To answer the Whataburger question: totally worth a fair bit of chaos. Especially for their breakfast, god I love their breakfast. However, to say it’s similar to In N Out is a bit of a stretch. It’s probably closer to Popeyes. It’s like if Popeyes had the menu variety of McDonald’s. 8/10 overall, 10/10 for their breakfast

Had a trans coworker about 15 years ago when I first left school and back then there wasn't all the talk about it and they were very quiet didn't really talk to anyone and I assumed it was just because they were different and wanted to keep themselves to themself. Anyway after a couple of months I left that job and moved on to something else. Fast-forward another month or 2 and said former colleague was in the news for chopping up a social worker that used to visit with them and showing off the body to someone who went to the police and told them.

I have two "coworker from hell" stories.
The first was someone I worked with back when I worked at a local gas station. She went out of her way to make my life difficult, straight up hating on me for having a physical disability. She would always act extremely rude and hostile towards me. What's funny is after I had quit and went back there 2 months later as a customer, she was nice as can be. I still have my suspicions about her, honestly
The second one was someone I also lived with at the time. We worked night shift as security guards at a meat packing plant, and every single night, I was working the jobs of 5 people basically by myself (we were horribly understaffed.) Every single night without fail, my coworker who would constantly do as little as possible, and every night at the exact same time, she would "go use the bathroom" which I believed the first couple times. Until I caught her on the security monitor sitting around in a different part of the building where she thought I couldn't see her. Tried reporting her to my supervisor at the time, but nothing was ever done. I will say that I got really good at efficiently handling every aspect of the job myself. Would've been all fine and dandy if said-coworker wasn't also the reason I ended up having a workplace accident that ultimately lost me that job entirely, but that's a story for a different day

( I never left early because of the migraines). Turns out I was allergic to the chemicals they had on site where other people would just get an itchy rash I got migraines I’m glad that I no longer work there

Randall sounds like a cross between Rain man and Dwight scrute and Beavis and Butt-head except i won't insult Beavis and Butt-head like that..and he sounded abit on the spectrum but as a person on the spectrum I sure wouldn't claim him lol...
and Whataburger rocks and so does In and out... Narrator guy whattburger is not only worth it and delicious burgers used to be only the size of your fist palm slighty bigger than a white castle burger but you have the Whataburger company to thank for giant jumbo burgers they opened in 1950 and started the trend of burgers being huge..so if you pay 8$ for a larger burger which is the norm now you can thank Whataburger for that they were .50-60¢ in 1950 but now 11$ but definitely overpriced but worth it every once in a while...im not a former fry cook but as a Texan you kinda learn the history of the company especially in highschool business and eccomics class and Decca club ..our teacher loved the place and told us the history..of them along with other companies 😅
