This has to be a major confidence booster
That's what we're here for!
You all should keep in mind that a customer will pay $100-200 an hour to have some work done so you might want to head over to Harbor Freight and buy one of those $20 grinders and a $100 welder to get started.
I love the scale in this teaching method. Works well with students. Anytime you assign a dollar amount to work it seems to really stick. 50 dollars equals 100 percent. Minimum wage being passing at 60 percent. So $15 is passing, $50 is an A+.
Great to hear!
Amen... shows that you have a monetary value in the world
Yessir
This a good way of telling someone where their levels are at
absolutely!
Wish every boss was as cool as this man I'd love to work for someone like him
thanks!
Awesome incurable information way to go 😊
Glad you liked it!
The trades are great. But the best thing you can do, besides picking up a trade and mastering it, is taking some business classes or getting a 2yr degree at night. Then you will have a better understanding of what you will see at whatever business employs you. Ore importantly it will make it much easier for you to start you own business.
Probably one of the few business owners that pays people their worth. I may not be a welder but every business owner should take notes from you. Never underpay someone just because you can if you know their worth pay them their worth.
Tech schools should be evaluating self worth and giving wage recommendations.
A dieing light indeed. A employer not taking advantage of people but actually quantifying there success
🙏🙏
Telling kids unrealistic starting wages is criminal.
Nothing but positivity love it
🙏🙏
Why was this so wholesome
glad you think so !
@@WesternWeldingAcademy you guys are doing great work. I wish my high school had more options to learn things like welding, auto shop, woodshop, etc. I am fortunate to have a good job in business but I am stuck behind a screen all day and often wish I was out in the field working with my hands.
When they are done with the course, they will have have confidence. Keep dropping the dimes
This feels like I’m back in the late 90s watching commercials for nursing degrees. NOBODY will hire someone at these wages with 2 days- 2 weeks of experience 😂
If you are in any trade academy to better yourself and earn a living you are a rarity in this day and age . Priceless!
That's what's up.....God will give that man more.....!!! Good boss...
🙏🙏
Him: "How long have you been welding? "
Me: "I was actually trying to get directions to the local plug and some how ended up here . "
Him: "26 and hour + bonus"
I wish all employers were like this. Awesome.
amen to that
It's when you take a nice looking weld to the bandsaw and cut some test pieces for the bender, if you pass then 36 to start.
This is great! I wish I could’ve learned how to weld when I was their age. I’d still love to learn but I’m nearly 70, so a new career isn’t what I’m looking for, but I’d still give it a go!
you can still learn for hubby purposes!
If this weren’t a marketing ploy for the school, it would be pretty sweet 😂
I’ve been welding with Tig for about 3 years and I must say, they all deserve those prices. Good on then
Right on
This is great! Now these young adults can have a sense of where to start and not get taken advantage of. This is how higher wages are kept.
Thanks a lot!
I watched my dad weld once
"I'll give you 38 bucks an hour"
How expensive is it to learn to weld? I've only done it once but it was fun imo
Hey, all our details can be found here western.ws/UA-camLink please check it out 🙌🏻
Suddenly, they realized, this guy didn't work there. 😅
😅
This is where kids need to be instead of tik tok
