- Welcome back for the final instalment of ‘Escape from Dino Island’! After the death of Casper's beloved father, Dave, the crew meet a mysterious stranger and face peril at the hands of treacherous Alistair Biggins. Can they escape this Dino Island? This is Mystery Quest, a roleplaying podcast where we play a variety of one-shot roleplaying games with a rolling cast of special guests.

i love Lydia in mystery quest, but some of her previous characters felt a little samey (and of course, she's played the same character multiple times which exacerbates it). but her character was so unique and she KILLED IT in this series! i was giddy with excitement whenever she had flashbacks 😂

Can I just say how much Sullivan's portrayal of a boy was fucking hilarious, so damn entertaining. I absolutely loved all the characters but Casper the stand-out for me!

Hilarious how Tom's misspeak(s) led to incredible canonical development and the best joke of the series. Really love the guest/non-Yog appearances recently! Great to have a chance to experience some new channels and people and inspire me (and others) to check them out!

I would absolutely watch every single one of these Jurassic Park/Terminator movies in theaters. Just, shut up and take my money, I want to watch the Casper saga.
Honestly this could be turned into a fantastic movie/book trilogy of Casper with this plotline as the main one, a prequel featuring dino-d.a.d. and how like the island came together and then collapsed, and then a sequel of future Casper growing up, the dinopocalypse, and the time stuff where it shows him going through several loops ending in this one or like a happy ending depending on the vibes.
Tom's intro had me thinking of a Bull version of "Buk'a'roo". Have not thought of that board game in years...

The yogs have been a favorite of mine forever and NRB are a new favorite and although I'm sure it can't be a common thing this is basically the best crossover ever. Would love to see Sully and Laurie back and vise versa.
I expected Ben's new character to be from InCel's arch nemesis, Scientific Judicial Warriors. A secret group who aim to ensure that all scientific research is acceptably inclusive.
As someone who hasn’t finished watching, based solely on mysterious stranger’s commitment to keeping Casper arrive, I expect him to be old Casper stuck in a timeloop

Laurie and Sully have such an amazing chemistry, really stole the show lol. Like even the most outlandish in your face person like Ben toned down his extravaganza and the most timid of creatures, Lydia was even meeker and nearly starstruck. Tom does not care because Tom managed to kill Ben so he is happy regardless of who is near him.
Great series, would love to have a 5 or 6 person games someday. I really wonder how would NBR guys play with someone like Smiffy and Ravs (but not at the cost of Lydia).
Thank you for yet another great series. The sound effects were stellar with this one.
Now I want to know the following story of the befuddled London coachee and his horse; racing around the island as it temporally reallocates!

I absolutely loved this. I have my own published sci-fi action / horror game called "I Love the Corps", and the mad twists in this remind me of many games I've run.
I'm also a fan of many PbtA games, but have never seen the whole player "stories" mechanic; how that culminated at the end was beautiful.
I also run a non-canonical convention game called "28 Trains Later", which is 28 Days Later meets Thomas the Tank Engine, and much of the comedy and horror combos, and especially the father and son stuff (I have parent and child pre-gen PCs for this one-shot0 reminded me very fondly of the absolute bonkers stuff I have had players do with that one-shot (which I have run probably at least 20 times with different people now).
Thank you for the amazing entertainment; I shall certainly be watching more.
Dino Island was so good. I laugh. I cried and enjoyed the jump in events when they took to long to decide what to do.
Really enjoyed the crossover. Hope to see another one in the future. That Dino D.A.N. accent was on point too.

again, these episodes were just brilliant, sully and laurie were hilarious! really hope to see them on again! or i'll just ya know, bite the bullet and be engulfed in their channels, which i've already subbed to! having the usuals on is great, because who doesn't like ravs, simon, or harry's antics, but having special guests i'm unfamiliar with is even better, because i totally had no idea what to expect... already can't wait to see what the next mystery quest will be!
Other Yogs are reliable to fill out numbers but it would be a missed opportunity to not have special guests on occasionally

I love PbtA games and seeing a live play session like this was both eye opening in how to run it but it was also just a lot of fun to watch :) Will be watching more MQ!
Need more Sullivan on Mystery Quest
Tom showing up on Chaotic Neutral made me start watching their content and the entire crew over there is amazing. Laurie and Sullivan were fantastic in this and everyone did incredible with their characters, Dino D.A.N will stick with me for a while I think.

Honestly, I always love the characters in all mystery quests but I the roleplaying in this one was absolutely amazing. Loved the voices, the characters, the backstories and the well-fitting tools that were used. Very cool underlying story as well, which slowly unraveled. Much love to everyone, super enjoyed these episodes!! Thank you Tom for being so generous as well and not letting all the characters die so quickly due to bad rolls :'D Loved it!!

I really like the PbtA system based from the last few games on here, hadn't heard of it before but I like the minimal focus on stats in favour of letting people come up with what they want to do, and the partial successes really added to the tension of the rolls at certain points.
WFRP campaign? Imperium Maledictum? *Waggles brows.* A one shot of each, even.

You haven't linked the UA-cam channel (only the twitter) where the video is, so I was confused about where to find it at first. After some digging I got to it, but you might want to put a link to the channel and maybe even specifically to the video for future reference to make it easy to find.
