I love Dino Dan. He's a deeper and better written character than anyone in the Jurassic World sequels.

If these were movies, I imagine the spider would look just like the ones from Forget Me Not.
Not as a lore Easter egg but just as a visual Easter egg.
Literally no customers came into my place of work today, got paid to chat about DND with my work friends, gonna set up a game! And mystery quest for when I get home!

I cannot express how much I hope to see more chaotic neutral/no rolls barred collaborating with mystery quest/the yogscast 100% my two favourite corners of UA-cam
I laughed so much when Sullivan's last interaction with his stepfather was to take the Polaroid photo.
The call back at the end to the volcano base was incredible
I find it ironic that they used the lake to run from the aquatic Spinosaurus.
I googled to confirm and its a smaller Spinosaur - more like a little Baryonyx, but I guess it probably could do a little swimmy so could of been a returning antagonist dino who stalks the raft and pops up later; but I think Ben failing that raft roll and bringing the spider was plenty of danger.

This has been the funniest episode yet, I love how Tom lets them goof around and have fun, but also knows when to rein them in and get the plot moving again. Perfectly balanced.
Incredible that the park's auxiliary power kept the security cameras on but not the electric fences or whatever was keeping the dinosaurs in haha

It's an insurance thing, actually.
Electric fences to keep dinos in would draw A LOT of power.
You would need way way less for cameras
Oh come now: if a corp owned an island, and thus probably not liable to litigation, don't you think they'd prioritize stopping theft over customer safety?

Not Dave D: what kills me, like him, is that he would have survived if they remembered damn Allister Biggins when building the raft XD, also god damn the twists this episode
If They'd have remembered Biggins, they'd have had that +1 to build the raft and there wouldn't have been a spoider on that raft!
Or if Casper had used his shouting about the spider as a buff
I thought that too but Ben did roll a nat 1 while already wounded so I wonder if Ben would have died to some other hazard anyway. If not I suppose he was just one of those funny + avoidable movie deaths you see in the Jurassic films so often.

I might be completely off with this but with the random time shenanigans putting people from different time periods, and the unnatural movement of the gallimimus, I feel weirdly reminded of a kid playing with toys (using all their toys to play, even ones that don't fit the narrative/time period, and making things move in ways that don't make sense), so I reckon that could be the twist, if there even is a twist
You hear them all around you, but they remain out of sight, hidden by shadows. Their inhuman howls and screeches echo throughout the cave. The warnings you read on the research notes are starting to make sense. You thought you were in for a quick pay day when you stole the treasure map, but now you realise why those researchers went missing and never returned from their expedition. “AAHHHHHHhhh…” Joseph yells as he’s dragged away and beyond your sight. Are you about to fall victim to these unnatural monstrosities??? Or are you on… A MYSTERY QUEST!!!!
Looking forward to more of the dynamic duo of Dave and Casper.
Casper the friendly kid had me rolling around laughing.
Ben's rolls were tragic.... shame to lose Dave as I find Ben's characters always entertaining and interesting concepts. Look forward to what comes next.

I gotta say I was a bit wary of the new faces at the table when the campaign started but that's on me, what a brilliant cast. Literally crying XD

I went back to watching Jurassic Park since the last episode and my god, that impression is spot on.
Just caught this now, I am bummed that the Spinosaurus didn't chase them out into the lake. Dino D.A.N. says: Did you know that Spinosaurs had long paddle-like tails and were believed to spend part of their lives in the water? They may have been partially aquatic!

Hilarious, I am loving this game, the two boys from chaotic neutral are side splitting funny and fit in well with Tom/Ben/Lydia dynamics. One of the best eps of Mystery Quest yet! Seeing Ben in this only sparked my interest to see Ben in a Star Wars RPG!
But, mainly commenting so more people get to see Mystery Quest!
Dave's a genius! I loved how Tom connected past ideas into his storytelling. Got a real good laugh out of me!

The polaroid picture was great. But the "Lets throw his tools into the sea" had me rolling.
Ah, coconut sized spiders; Feels just like home. This was always going to be absolute gold with this crossover, but it's been even better than expected. I'm sure it's too self-indulgent for Tom, but I'm kind of hoping we get a drunken, homeless 1890s London detective cameo.
The crack of thunder deafens you as the sound of the pelting rain fades out. The flash of light illuminates you gripping the helm controls of your steam powered Aerocopter, one of thousands swarming the skies weaving between dreadnaught class Airships. But wait that next boom is not the storm, that next flash of light wasn’t more lightning. The flash or furry light brightens your view as you see it. The great sky leviathan tearing through a neighboring airship eyes glowing blue rippling with electricity. Will you and the great air fleet survive this attack or… Are you on a Mystery Quest!
My daughter introduced me to Mystery Quest. Absolutely love it. So entertaining, you are all very clever. Keep up all the great work. 🤗

The way everyone builds on so many little details is fantastic and really makes each bit better than the last.

When they were building a boat and said "There's a flaw you didn't notice" I thought they were saying there's a "floor" you didn't notice. I was thinking "Boats are supposed to have floors, that's good!"
at first i wasnt sure if I would vibe with this system but it actually seems to work way better then I expected. Super cool serie!

Going onto a lake while tailed by a spynosourus would be the worst thing to do because spynos were faster in water then on land. Because they mainly used their needle like teeth to catch fish from what i remember and attack land prey that came near the water.
The really anticlimactic twist is that the dinos are all just modern birds.
I love engaging Ben's dad mode. "Just drink a cup of cement"

"soundbooth Theater live" is a incredible talent that deserves to be in you're company.
So where I'm at, they are about to try to escape from a Spinosaurus by sailing away on a raft.
That's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see how it pans out.

This is my favourite series I have ever watched! This needs to be a trilogy where they go back to the island and find…… Dave never died and he was left on the island paralysed… and the plot thickens ……

@@Blitzkrieger17 maybe the tool belt dragged him down but the current dragged him into an under water cave, which linked with the cooling system which when the paralysis wears off he can escape

Audio's pretty low there, bud. Nearly bursted my ear drums when I clicked a Nigel and Marmalade short.

Surprised no one else has said anything! Maybe it depends on your speakers or something? This seemed ratherquiet for me too, but the worst for me was that the quietest parts (most notably Tom at times) were really quiet but the laughing and shouting seemed to cut through at normal volume, had to constantly turn the volume up and down.
