Having multiple bras and panties . I can remember a time when I had 2 panties and the same bra for over 1 year and a half . Being able to change my pants after every 6 months is a big privilege to me.
A privilege is an advantage that you didn’t choose… pretty, white, wealth, able bodied or whatever else… a privilege is not chosen. It just is
This is the best definition
what if you worked really hard until you accumulated a lot of wealth, more than 90% of the people on the planet . I think the best way to put is a privilege is an advantage that majority don't have whether you chose it or not lets not overthink it🙃
I feel having a job is a privilege then having a good employer is a blessing, in this economy some employers treat their employees like trash because they know you have nowhere to go.
But we are offering a service and getting paid for it. I don't think having a job is a privilege.
It's like saying just because you are working hard then you will automatically get rich🤔
No, this isn't a privilege. It's just that healthy work environments are so hard to come by, so people think it's a privilege to be in one.
I don’t think being wealthy generally is a privilege because youd have had to work for it but the circumstances surrounding the acquisition of wealth can be considered a privilege because that’s what gave you the edge over the next person e.g born into a wealthy family or having affluent connections or inheriting wealth
Inheritance is a privilege. Your parents don't owe you an inheritance. That they choose to give it to you - instead of spending it all or donating it to maybe a charity - is a great privilege. Honor it. Appreciate it.
It's biblical they should do this even to the 2nd generation, but if they don't have it's ok , most of us don't have anything to inherit apart from names and we're here adulting and doing our best to get something for the next generation.
Another privilege and also a blessing , never experienced stigma and discrimination because of my HIV status in an era where PLWHIV still face stigma and discrimination.
Much love to you..I'm glad to hear this fr
It is a privilege for sure, having both your parents alive in your adult life. I see it more now that am an adult, our mum passed when I was 8, memories of her are so blur in my head.
Having supportive parents is a privilege and a blessing at the same time
As a parent of 2, I don't consider it a privilege of being a good, supportive, loving parent to them. That's my job. I acknowledge that there are really lousy parents, but that doesnt mean doing my job is a privilege to my kids
Kenya has serious unemployment so yes its a privilege to have a job in kenya today
Good skin is definitely a privilege..
In my opinion, working is a blessing but working through what you love is a privilege
When Lydia said "close your eyes and imagine your parents driving you" 😢 I went like wait, what just happened? Leave alone separation, not having parents at all, from a very young age is a whole argony. Having parents, is a privilege guys 😊
Sending you hugs, I feel you .
Being an in-betweener is a privilege. Take a break, we will be here, waiting, patiently ❤
Spending over at my place on a couch is a privilege. Very few people can spend at my place. Now sharing my bed is Top Tier Privilege.
Ikr 😂😂😂
A very huge privilege. Even knowing where I live is. Thank you for the reminder
Together in this with you
This is where it's at. Thank you. 😀😀😀😀
YOU DESERVE IT LADIES, THE WHOLE TEAM DESERVE A BREAK, YES!!! 😇😇🥰🥰
Awww thank you 🥹🫶🏽
Having a supportive family members and who are not jealous of one's progress, is a privilege, because it's not always the norm.
Murugi that dress is beautiful, the colours and design are perfect.
It’s available at Wild By Murugi ❤️
Having a job can be a blessing or a privilege depending on an individual.
- It's a blessing - if you have faced challenges in securing employment.
- It's a privilege - in contexts where access to employment is not equal for everyone for example because of systemic barriers etc.
Being able-bodied can be a blessing and/or a privilege.
It's a blessing - if you appreciate your health and physical abilities
It's a privilege - because our society is structured in ways that creates advantages for the able-bodied. Access to certain spaces, services, and opportunities is easier for the able-bodied.
It is a privilege to have a friend who genuinely loves you as a sister
Having or owing what the majority want and desire at a platter of gold without stress is Privilege...could be dream Job, lifestyle or anything.
Love this episode, it's educating as aways lol both sex and scintillating topics like this gives us a good insight of life in general. Thanks Murugi and Lydia, sending love to you all the way from Nigeria 🇳🇬 ❤
Getting/ having a job that doesnt drain you or drive you into alcoholism and depression is definetly a priviledge.
Enjoying Christmas ( holidays in general) because you look forward to spending time with your family is a priviledge. Some people would even work through christmas if their offices were open because christmas time with some of their family fills them with dread because of the toxic, manipulative and abuse they experienced or have experienced at some point.
It is a priviledge that we have acess to information and knowledge and we have the space and chance to analyze and deconstruct some of the beliefs that were instilled into us as kids and forming our own nuanced balanced opinions.
We are priviledged not to have destructive natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunami's, tornadoes, e.t.c, the destruction would take us too long to rebuild.
I think PRIVILEGES are BLESSINGS 🙌
Keenly looking at it 💯
Lydia’s point on the supportive parents aspect is so spot on.Knowing your parent(s) are there to sort of aid in your survival means you’re not constantly breaking your back to work and survive. Its an unexplainable safety net.Without it you live life constantly HUSTLING with no break because you know its a do or die situation.Im speaking from experience of not having that safety net.Having supportive parents is definitely a privilege.
It's a privilege you can switch careers.. They can help you pay for further education. There's so many pros.
Why did I think Murugi’s parents were still together?
Having a family (Both nuclear and extended) is a privilege. At least you get to know your roots.
Imagine a scenario where you are born of parents who were brought up in a children's home(and who don't know their roots)and they pass on... you are left in the world on your own (or with just your siblings).
Murugi's dress is giving. Lyd's hair is also looking great, well laid, not the wigs im seeing in these social media streets
Hello! I rarely comment but this topic and conversation was intriguing so here are my thoughts. I viewed this through the lens of nature and nurture. The privileges of nature are out of our control (gender, race, able-bodied, when you are born etc) and those privileges can be measured by how we show-up in the world and certain spaces. As for privileges that are a result of nurture, I viewed them from the lens of social determinant of health (SDOH), a concept that considers environmental factors in which people are born and raised in and how they affect one’s health and quality of life outcome. SDOH: economic stability, education access and quality, healthcare access and quality, neighborhood and built environment, and social community context. It’s important that both ACCESS and QUALITY are considered when discussing privilege.
Thanks for the mental stimulation.
i can define privilege as something you are supposed to be having, but due to certain circumstances or situations you are not having or experiencing them
I think what we see as privilege is based on what we have and what we don't. For example, I'm a person who stammers and I see speech fluency as a privilege. A person who speaks normally wouldn't see that as a privilege.
I stammer too and I see speech fluency as a privilege btw the fact that others can communicate fluently and with no difficulties.
@@Miss_Jael Yeah the fact they don't even have to think about it.
Murugi debating a lawyer on rights and privilege is the kind of confidence I need.
But I see where you come from.
😂😂absolutely!
Lydia keep that hair ....looks so nice on you
Do you know what else is a privilege? Being straight babes!!! When Lydia brought up the closing your eyes exercise trying to imagine your both parents together, for me I tried to imagine the time anyone has ever loved me romantically or at least showed a romantic interest and you know what I couldn't picture that in my head. The saddest part is, I can't even picture that moment anytime soon because I'm gay who doesn't see himself outside the closet. Anyways, enough with complaining but as always nice episode ladies, not sure how we are going to survive when you go for a break that you clearly deserve.
Being ablebodied is definitely a blessing, tomorrow someone can wake up disabled or sth like that so def a blessing
I have a disability not an obvious one but one that has a major impact on my life don't think that others are more privileged than me based on my body
@cikanyoro She did not say that others are more privileged than you. Jeez! She just said it is a blessing to have to not have a disability, because it is not obvious and it is not everyone who has the ability to use all the parts of their body, or to even function. You seem to take this very personally, yet you forget that there are people who have special needs like being quadriplegic, who don't have it easy. I'm glad that your disability does not deter you to function. Learn to understand other people's comments without a negative attitude.
I believe that privilege is one of those terms like growth... That's individual to a person in terms of definition... You can't define privilege to another person and that's where the dance comes in otherwise everything in this world is privilege... The analogy of the person without a car, the person without shoes, the person without legs.... Depending on where you are in life and from an outsider looking in or insider looking out everything is privilege
Wooow this is heavily true 🎉
9/10 Men don't take parenting seriously, we have soooooooo many "present absent" fathers hence a lot of women feel privileged to have supportive fully present partners, more especially if they are not together. it's rare and unusual therefore a privilege.
This is so true aki. Many Religious and non-religious men aren't present, all over Kenya, in all tribes.
Sad sad
Passport Privilege‼️ Being able to spontaneously travel to other countries without thinking of visa processes
Having a job , supportive mum and a baby daddy who contributes with bills is a privellege
To me having a job is a privilege. Much as oblivion (for lack of a better word) would have some people thinking "But that's what is expected of you" not everyone has that. With it, you don't have to worry about your basic needs. Now the type of job one does, I think is a blessing.
Wednesday can't be Wednesday at all without TMI, Thank you big sisters, I've learnt alot from you two❤❤❤
You’re welcome ❤️❤️❤️
Being light skined is a privilege
Freedom is a privilege
Good health is a privilege
A privilege to someone, can be a blessing to someone else but a blessing remains a blessing regardless eg life, good health, like anything you not paying for is a blessing
I drag watching this literally because i don't want to wait a whole week for another episode...so i be watching it in bits to make the next Wednesday closer...😢😂😂
Same babes 😂same
The break is giving those goodbyes mums have with kids going to boarding schools😢😢😢
You know they need to study but it's painful they'll be away😔😔
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Facts!
Take a break and when you're back we'll still be here. Thank you for always showing up and giving us the best content ever. ❤️❤️❤️
Yall look so good ❤, the couch ,the background and the makeup is giving life
And lyd looks so stunning with that hair❤🎉
Here's my two cents on the privilege and blessing in relation to work. Having a job in Kenya is a privilege. Majority of the population is unemployed. Employable but unfortunately are unemployed. Being paid to do what you love is definitely a blessing. Like working on your passion and making money while at it is amazing. Done ✅
Privileges has to include the context where the is an opportunity for no choice- it is just available to you. Generational Wealth is a privilege, but wealth is not a privilege ie being born into a wealthy family is out of your control but working hard for your wealth is in your control.
How about you were able to build wealth of your own due to the schools you attended, or scholarships you got, or networks someone introduced you to that opened other doors? Isn't that also partly privileged and partly hard work? I think the lines are blurred when it comes to self-built wealth.
18:40 majority are unemployed in corporate. But are self employed.
Business, both physical and online became rampant because of the lack of well paying corporate job employment.
Oooh nooo I am heartbroken I won't have the privilege of getting a new episode every week of December but I want you guys to rest
I think privilege can be determined by how much you have control of the situation.
I went to hit the like 👍🏽 and I accidentally hit the 👎 me looking around 😳😳😳 😰😰😰😱😱praying that no one saw me while I change, it’s definitely a privilege to have this space.
Listening to this as a Kikuyu working so hard so that I own that land to stop renting......
It's a privilege to never struggle with hairline
It's both a previlege and a blessing to conceive, birth, and raise healthy kids
Beautiful women. Beautiful setting. Top Tier video quality. Y'all have spoilt us.
Privilege is a special right or advantage you enjoy that most people don't have . there's a number of categories where privilege hails from ie. class be it social or economical, education, ability ,racial, gender etc.in the aspect of education, a person with a masers degree is more likely to have access to high paying jobs , managerial positions as opposed to someone with an undergrad. the privilege here are the benefits that come along with the masters degree.
I do think all privileges are blessings because the mere fact that you have it and others don't is a real blessing
We are priveledged to haveV TMI🎉🎉
I will say i am privileged because i have never had acne.. My face is always flawless ever since i was born
Queenmates we are here again ❤❤🎉
We already crying 😭😭😢
But we love❤ that break for you.
Everyone needs that 🕐
Don’t worry! We’re not going anywhere…have a great break! Xx
How many times do you shit?😂😂😂Trust Lydia and Murugi to make such funny questions sound soooo serious
It's definitely TMI🎉
As a person who can't go without wearing my 👓 glasses, I see it as privilege for pple who can see well without glasses.
Hey Lyd and Murugu😊...do think privilege is being able to have that which is we can't have control over yet in perfect state e.g health....you could take care so much about your body but sustain an injury or get in an accident the next day and leaves you crippled for rest of your life, or experience a low moment ends up depressed then one disease to another....or life itself you can live a careless life but live your longest while a really nice person goes to bed and never wakes up......can be an orphan and never experience any moment of lack or sadness while a kid with complete family experience exactly the opposite etc...."May be privileged is being followed by positivity and good fate"
Able bodied- *blessing*
Job- *blessing*
Job that aligns with your purpose- *privilege*
Supportive co-parent- *blessings*
In my quick opinion which i just formulated now, lol, a privilege seems to be an advantage that you happen to enjoy/ experience despite not necessarily having worked for it/earned it....eg being born a woman or man, white or black, tall or short , depending on where the advantage falls.
...the advantages coming with such identity or status .
Well done girls, it's definitely TMI, I feel having being employed is a blessing, maybe having gotten a connection through someone to get that Job is what becomes a privilege.
This break thing crushed me😢

😂😂😂😂 I love the Convo ..alafu many recent research indicates that most disabled people prefere being referred to as "disabled" and not "different abled".. I don't think it's a priverage to be abled,I think it is a blessing
It's definitely TMIIIIIIII🎶💃🏿. Topic ya leo imeweza🔥👌🏾. It is a privilege having a job in 254. We appreciate the consistency but yesss please go for break❤😅.
5 Wednesday without TMI...wow... we'll have to digest this... anyways have a nice break ✨✨🥳🥳
Yes, we should be more grateful, because in the spirit of gratitude we get to discover a million little miracles in our lives everyday. Additionally, I think there's a thin line between a privilege and a blessing.

Sharing the benefits of your privilege is something you can do to make the world a better for those with much less.
TMI 🎉❤❤
A privilege is a blessing.
Everything you have is a privilege because there is others who dont.
Eg Having supportive parents/ partners/children/friends, a job, health i mean everything may sound like its the way its supposed to be but its not obvious.
Thats what makes it a privilege/blessing
