    Great vid, I did notice that you didn't put a exhaust gasket or Oring in there.

      Yeah I do sometimes and don’t other times. Best to have one for not exhaust leaks

    How long are these engines? I'm wondering if you could fit these in a Puch Maxi style moped?

    I wish we could have these engines in pakistan
    Because here we have horizontal engine bikes but they are 70cc only... And i am so excited that what happen if we install this 140cc engine into a 70cc chassis...
    The power to weight ratio will be excellent... And we are having horizontal engine bikes since 40 years so we also have all the japanese parts for these kinds of engines...

      Yeah sounds like a 140 in there would be great. The engines are amazing and very reliable. Hope they come into your country one day!

    Is this the same yx motor Apollo uses? I wonder if these come with the z40 racing cams?

    These motors don’t have the clutch cover any idea on how to work on the clutch ?

    Seems like you need to re-rivett your muffler
    Other than that it looks like your project is done. Really nice job 👍

    I picked up a 2022 bao dao bd125-11-GT and found sites for parts and was swapped with a piranha 140.. it was a mess bought it with an empty tank, had to pop the clutch to get it to start, every bolt was loose, one motor mount which I have new ones coming, dirty oil, and rode it from fall river to Taunton ma with no helmet cause I was so excited to ride again and needed a way to work besides my feet. I was dog tired and sore, 2 hour walks. But it had a 20mm carburator that fought for its life, and now i got a 26mm with cone air filter, checked the gears and nothing appears to be broken but I do think something is wrong with the kickstart cause I take the cover off and it's got play back and forth touching the case.
    I know I would need to take the motor out and probably go through the entire thing to be sure and from there I could big bore kit it or add upgrades, what do you guys think the problem might be, maybe the kick shaft? It ran really smooth and thru gears, but vibrated a lot and lifted when it did leak that oil, it sounded like piston slap, or valves touching the piston, but I started it up again and it was fine, so far I've gotten a ignition coil( old one burnt up and fell apart), spark plug, fresh oil again, 26mm nibbi carburator gas tank cover with lock and bolts in, ignition with keys, got the lights to turn on, need to probly rewire an electric start cause the old starter I think the positive wire melted on the exhaust lol, but other than that it's a solid bike, I got a custom plate coming, engine mounts, gold fairing screws and clips, plan on doing everything clutch, cables, stator, throttle cable exhaust big bore, it's a sweet bike and my first real one besides 50cc scooters, my first project lol since license was suspended and trying to get it back but I'm pretty sure even at 125 you'd need a endorsement or license I'm in mass, I was gonna get a "it's a 50cc" license plate but 😶

      @@chrisandlaurie8148 is there play in the shaft when the cover is on?
      You won’t be able to do a 190 big bore from a 125 engine. You could only go up to 138cc or possibly 140? You would need a bigger engine to get to 190cc. If I was you I would do the math to see how much all this would cost you. If it’s close to what a new motor would be then I’d just buy a new motor that’s bigger. Like a 140, or a 155z. If you have more money to work with then you can just buy a 190 right away. It’s a powerful engine so keep that in mind if your a newer rider

    How critical is it to adjust the valves on a new start up?

    • @slavsquad
      @slavsquad  Рік тому

      Last couple engine before this one I didn’t adjust them
      I don’t think it’s end of the world but for best performance I think you should do it

    How did your first startup go?
    My new Piranha 140 is running crazy fast and I can’t get it down to idle. Any thoughts? I did full prep as advised by T-Bolt.

    • @slavsquad
      @slavsquad  3 роки тому +1

      My first startup was a bit hard to get it started but after was okay. I didn’t have a crazy high idle. Make sure your throttle cable isn’t caught anywhere or wrapped somewhere where it could be engaging the throttle. Make sure it’s loose. Then adjust your carb so your idle is low.

    Do you have to check the valve lashing I don’t have tools atm I might just have my mechanic do it if it’s totally necessary I just received my 140cc motor for my xr50 swap and did yours come with exhaust flange nuts I don’t believe mine did

    • @slavsquad
      @slavsquad  3 роки тому

      I would because mine were to tight.
      Also it’s recommended by T Bolt where I purchased mine.
      I don’t believe mine came with those nuts. I just used the ones off my other engine
