Good and interesting video. The very interesting thing about this hobby is each element, each step is a whole hobby unto itself. How far do you want to jump in? Some parts are more interesting than others to people. Have fun as we each follow our interests.
Awesome Eric. WOA seems to play well with coticules. Prep, skin condition and lather is key. I had a bad shave today. The edge was fine, but all the other factor was lacking. Take care.
Thanks John, we all get in them half ass shaves once in a while. That’s why I try to shave at night. I only have girls left at the house, morning are a crazy temperamental rush 🤣🥴
As usual great informative video ! I completely agree about face prep, as you've said, it's key to getting a good comfortable shave, almost as important a factor as the razor. (and of course the technique). Maple and bourbon sounds right up my alley.
You said it yourself that you’re going to fast, slow down a tad and not rush. You don’t rush the honing and have plenty of patience. Anyway keep up the informative content my friend! 👍
Looked like another good sharp keen shave. You got that laser edge off that WOA! I nicked my ear the other day and it bled like no other. Funny thing was it was the tiniest cut. It surprised me that for such a tiny cut it would look so bad lol.
I have been nicking myself too much lately, and I keep re opening them. Going too fast and not paying attention. Thanks for watching Johnny, I hope all is well.
Love my Boker carbon! Great SR! Another cool shave video brother! Love the comparison! You should be home tomorrow. Travel safely my friend!! Cheers!😉🥃
Nice shave Eric. I agree with you on prepping your face and using a good soap. If you’re going to take the time to put a nice edge on a blade, take the time to help the blade perform at its best. I have to try out your Bourbon Cowboy soap.
Amen brother. If I am going I with this hard on an edge, I am going to put the work in to enjoy it. I was worried how close BC would be to your MP, they are very different, and I was happy about that. Maple Bourbon is one of my all time favorites, I did not want to do it an injustice.
Yes it was, I suspect the issue was on the low end, the coticuels did a better job on the bevel than the Dalmore yellow I used for the other razor. I was expecting that. The puzzling part was the HHT and the scope. The full scotch bone looked better. But I leaned a long time ago that you can’t trust the scope or the scratch patter on a natural stone. Or HHT for that matter, the shave tells the truth. It was a fun experiment.
Awesome video. I am going to have to watch it again to get all the points you talked about. Now I want to try a slate I have on top of one of the coticule edges to see what it will do. Thanks again for the videos and insight. Take cae.
That’s the things I enjoy the most. The testing and learning process. Getting to know the stone and razor, learning from both. Blending my process with what that session requires. When I attack it like that, it never gets old. I day without learning is a day lost. It’s awesome to see others enjoying the same.

Maple Bourbon is my Jam. I love Joe’s soaps. Thanks for watching
I taught I left a comment, but upon return, I did not! Cheers Eric💈💈💈
Happens to me all the time. Getting old ain’t for pussies

Excellent shave Eric like is usual! I love that maple bourbon by Joe as well, it’s crazy good! Cheers my friend can’t wait to see the next one
Thanks Sean. The next one will be fresh off the press.
Hello Master Eric I'm here and watching!
🤣😜. You flatter me but the only thing I am a master of is my baiting skills 👀
👍 One of these days I gotta get me one of those Böker Carbon Elite shavers.
They are nice and like TI, the razors are larger than advertised. This is a full 7/8+. They take a really good edge, but don’t come that way.
@ I honed one up for a friend once and loved the test shave.
Hi Eric. So the boker was the more confortable. Nice shave. Have a good one

I will second the comments on Joe’s soaps. I have more great shaves with his compared to other soaps that I have used a few dozen times.
