A long but comprehensive tour of a flat roof EPDM installation. Very helpful to anyone wondering how it can be done well. As it shows each stage, it also helps in making a list of items that need to be purchased to do the job.
Thank you for the detailed and thorough video on this installation! I will be doihg just this on my two Pergollas here just north of Dallas Texas. Your video gives me confidence that my son-in-law and I can pull this off! BTW this is the first video i have seen using the proper drip edging. I appreciate you! Just hope that the EDPM can handle Texas heat...
Hello Danry! Well you win the prize for furthest away viewer!! So chuffed you found it useful! We had 28 degree heat today and thought that was bloody hot lol 😝
My man knows what he's doing. I inderstood about 5% of what he said, he was cracking jokes steadily and getting it done. But all in all i 20:47 got the message!
Im about to embark on building a garden building myself, ive watched loads of YT videos in preperation, but your videos are a pleasure to watch, very concise, nicely produced and your always smiling. Thanks!
Thank you very much for the lovely comment Chris! Glad your enjoying the vids and very best of luck with the build!!! Your going to love doing it!!!! 😁👍
That roof looks profesh Steve. I’m replacing the utility lean to roof on side of my house and think this is the option for me. Nicely explained. Well done 👍🏻 👏🏻💪🏻
Great video. About to do my roof garden room. Do you know what thickness of rubber you used 1.2mm or 1.5mm. You think it makes much difference as it reflects quite a difference on price. Great video pal.
@TheHomeRenovationExperts brilliant!! Thanks for the quick response. Not ordered the kit yet. Plan on doing it the easter weekend or following week off.
Cheers fella!!!! 😆 It’s the standard thickness and more than enough for these roofs! The other gear weighs even more when jumping it up onto the roof lol 😂
Hiya. It was by chance that I stumbled onto your video and was amazed how your trim and guttering is installed compared to what mine was done on my outhouse. My outhouse guttering does not catch all the water, and when the water flows down the epdm roof the water some house drips around the guttering and falls on the wall/ground - a real inconvenience but was fobbed by the installer this is 'normal'. Looked at your video and was surprised this was not normal. I need to change the round guttering to the square ones you have and perhaps look at installing those trims. Had my epdm from rubber4roofs. What guttering did you use? Can you share the link? Thx
Think it was £500-£600 but that price might have come down now! Go to www.rubber4roofs.co.uk and use there calculator. Once you have that cost phone then to order!!!! Every time I call up it's always cheaper!! :)
@@denden760 Hello fella!! That’s made my day that an American is watching my channel!! Cheers for trying to watch though!! Where abouts in the States you based?

Cheers Jonathan! Yeah! Great option for your needs plus the do some fantastic flashing to connect and water tight it to the house! :)
Very informative video props to you. I've just received my kit but noticed the gutter trim does not have a jointing piece like the Kirb trim.

Cracking job ☝️is that standard or premium thickness rubber

Hi, great video but looking at the finished glued down rubber there seems to be bubbles visable
Good job Steve :))
Cheers fella!! It's taking shape now!! ;D
Really useful video thank you can I ask a stupid question - do you nail or screw the roofing OSB down?
Hello Peter 👍 it’s nailed down fella 😁
@@TheHomeRenovationExperts many thanks!!
Hiya. Great series. Is there a join in the EPDM on the roof? Is that an overlap with sealant? Cheers.
Hello Tim!! Yes fella!! Its a glued joint for EDPM and is absolutely brilliant stuff!! :)
👍 700…good work Stevie
Thank you fella!! Cannot believe 700 people want to listen to my working day lol :)
I use a pcv like type gutter trim comes in black
Hi Steve, where did you get this from please? I have a large lean to shed to get covered before the weather turns. Thx
Hello Tim!!! I get mine from ‘permaroof’, top tip and always phone through the order as they will always beat the online price!! 👍
Hi, just wonder where can I get this kind of gutter trim and the drip please ?
I am supprised you never staggered the 2 gutter trims rather than have a straight joint ‘ also that gutter looks to low from the drip ????
Hi where is the site to buy EPDM please?
these vids should have more views. some good content. Is the roof flat or there is a slope. Good work Thanks
How much did this cost bud?

Is it possible to put EPDM on an Apex roof ? Will the sharpness of the two sides (I am using OSB) at the Apex damage the EPDM ?
Sand edges down to make smoother for more rounded peak
Why wouldnt you just start rolling the glue on from the outer end towards the middle . Do one full half.. 🤔
Big mistake always drill upwards.
Your pronunciation of words is hard to understand for Americans!! Almost impossible in fact!
