I’ve just purchased this model. Guy I spoke to on the phone whilst ordering gave it good reviews. Just looking for second opinions and saw your vid. Great viewing. Thankyou for your honest opinion
Quick tip if you like. Try to hold the wire in the range of the cup after welding (with the gas flow ofcourse). The oxygen will make the hot end of the wire dirty.
I have a fairly similar operation. I have jasic gear too great value for money and a good warranty with it also. It’s hardy and takes a bashing (transportable) also. 👍
Thanks for speaking at length today Jason, I'll def go with the Esab you recommended. Can only assume Esab have come up the pecking order since last year re the little faults you mentioned yours have....
Hi Yeah and it's not double the price as give me Dm as it's not much more and will sort you a price out . Yes the Evo is lots better plus I also have a video on it too . Send me an email on smallgarageworkshop@gmail.com
On the ACDC mini you hold the 2 buttons in and keep pressed while you switch on . Will beep 3 times then display go to P01. Not so sure if it works on this model though
Will you know how to restart this machine? It is that in the display appears "e-1" and in the manual says that you have to restart the machine but does not say how to do it
Hi Yes E1 is over heating and generally you don't need to restart the unit as you can just leave the unit . I would remove the covers and give it a good clean plus make sure the unit has good ventilation when welding . Had this also when you set the unit on water cooling but have the cooler turned off as you can also do this in the new EVO model . 👍
@@smallgarageworkshop6119 Hello, I remove the cover and if there is good ventilation and I keep appearing "e-1" on the screen, in the manual says this..."Protection error codes When the overcurrent indicator illuminates and the digital meter displays “E-1” it indicates that overcurrent occurs. Restart the machine and welding can be continued." My question is how to restart the machine?
When they say restart the machine they mean turning it off and back on again . Jasic will let you speak to the engineers if you call them and they will help you for sure . Generally when this over heats you turn off and back on. As far as I know there is no hidden setting in this machine to reset the E1
Why would you buy the 202 at twice the weight if it does the same as the 200p mini? Is it just for the water cooling? And what do you think about the cheaper 202A with the knobs instead of the beeping digital menu?
You just don't get the accuracy with the knobs but again does a job for some but not for me as the digi is not much more to be honest. If your looking at a tig only the parweld XTT212 is excellent and can be picked up a lot cheaper . If you send me a DM I can point you in the right direction. Saying that I bought 2 of these new jasics 6 month ago and only used one of them and selling the unused one next week for 950 all in including foot pedal.
@@Tuffjobs If you have the room the larger one as its the future as also the the pedal or switch connector is the same through out the range rather than the little cheap metal one.
Hi I always use the CK stuff so the CK20 for the water cooled stuff and then the CK9 for the small metal arty stuff pretty much upto 125 amps. Hope this helps
@@pomajzsolt4363 I'm at Jasic on Friday for a software update so a more detail review coming next week. If you want to know more just ask and will include your request
Hi Quite a lot better in my opinion but you will have guys out there that just love Rtech so this is my opinion. I used to use Rtech for everything and was ok then I tried someone's Jasic then sold all the Rtechs and replaced with the Jasics within a week however they are also close to me which should anything happen I can take it rather than post . I need to do more vids as now I use Esabs as these suit my needs better as I get busier
Been researching the hell out of welders. I was willing to take a punt on a Jasic until I read about the "Jasic Incident". en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jasic_incident Now I'm having second thoughts. Anyone familiar with this?
Yeah i read something about that also but then thought unless you buying an Oxford then your not buying one as most now are assembled in China from miller to esab which we don't know what went on but also read a link someone sent me a few years ago abut Apple doing a similar thing. Not going to get political as this is about welders and bang for buck machines and not abut what workers are getting paid 🙄

Yes mine gets hammered really and just a note when you set up AC balance the setting 25-35 is were you want to be . 35 is nice 👍
