That is one thing nice about the big expensive welders. They only run the fan when they have been used for a while and need cooling vs the little ones running the fan most or all of the time.
Better lucky than good any day! Nice to see you welding again Bruce.
That's a fact! It's good to be back at it. Hope you are doing well as well. 😀
Bty, you’re really starting to remind me of Robert Duvall, especial when you chuckle. One of my favorite actors, so I think there’s a compliment in there somewhere😏.
Ha Ha Thanks Mark!
I have the 205 yeswelder welder and I like it a lot. The main reason I got it was due to not being scratch start. I have not really played around with the spot weld but overall very satisfied. I personally think if you don’t have the money for a miller or Lincoln this will do fine(not in a commercial site)
Nice one Bruce! Welding is something that I really want to learn more about and get good at. Maybe this year I'll finally get a chance to... it's something that is definitely on my to-do list ! In any case you are big inspiration and I really enjoy following your progress. Have a wonderful weekend and all the very best.
Thank you Joe, I appreciate you. I wish a great weekend to you as well :)
Great video Bruce, the welds are looking good as well.
Thank you Thomas, I appreciate that!
Great video. I like how my yeswelder foot pedal feels.
Same here!
Just placed my order, thank you for your presentation!! 😁
You’re welcome, it’s a nice machine for the price IMO. Enjoy you new welder!
I need your advice, I got my yes welder 200 ac/dc, and have watched many videos on aluminum welding techniques. And all I am doing is burning up aluminum. Looks charred when I am done. Is it me or the welder?? Not sure if the gas could be bad, but I can aluminum mig weld with 211 welder, no problem. I am so frustrated. Help? 🙄
Do you have a video teaching how to set the voltage, pre flow, post flow, and all that? I am new on tig welding. Thank you.
No I haven't made a video showing my settings for that.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 thank you, have a good day.
I just picked up the same TIG. Were you using the optional pedal or just the trigger? I may have missed it but what size nozzel were you using?
I was using the optional YesWelder foot pedal I showed in the beginning of the video. I was using a #6 cup with 3/32 tungsten.
how come on my welder i have the same one i cant change or us the buttons for post gas or slope or anythign at all only between ac/dc i can switch and 2t,4t pulse tig and tig i cant change slope or post or pre or anythign
That's a good question but I don't have the answer. I would recommend getting in touch with YesWelder and make sure you have your order #. They will either walk you through getting it fixed or replace it at no cost.
Did you state your gas flow for this session?
I am usually using a #6 cup and running the gas flow at 12 to 15 cfh
How does this unit compare to the 250P? I want the 250P, but its not been available?? Do you have any idea if/when the 250P may be available??
As far as I can tell they are pretty close in comparison. I’m not positive but my guess is this is the replacement machine for the 250P. You may be able to find a 250P on Amazon but I haven’t seen that machine on the YesWelder site for quite some time now.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 thank you so much!!
You're welcome and I wish you the best with your search.
This is the welder im after for my final setup
It's a nice welder, I'm sure you will enjoy it!
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10I would have enjoyed it alot more if they didn't jack the price like a full 100 bucks
Is it true that the foot pedal is only an on/off switch? That’s a deal breaker for me, but I can’t find a straight answer…
The foot pedal gives full control of the amperage and not just an on/off switch with this machine.
Is the fan always on?
According to YesWelder some units have a temp controlled fan (early production runs of this machine) and some have a constant fan (later production runs of this machine). I was told this depends on the production run. YesWelder also mentioned that current and future production runs will have the constant fan and not the temp controlled fan. Unfortunately I have no idea how a person would know what production run they are purchasing. The machine I am using in the video is the constant fan version of this machine.
Does this have lift tig
I'm not sure, I'm using it with a foot pedal in the video.
It's so noisy,!👎
lol what are you talking about? The fan or the AC welding? The fan seems normal for a unit this size and AC welding is always noisy.
