Just a quick video showing a way to use elastic bands for the hinges and magnets to close the bracers. I used these bracers in my current iteration of my Mando cosplay. They worked fairly well, but I have ideas to improve them and will make new ones for another iteration of the costume.

How are you attaching the magnets and the elastic to the inside of the gauntlet? Could you do magnets on both sides instead of the elastic hinge? looks awesome!

You could do magnets on both sides but the elastic so so that it opens like an hinge and doesn’t come off the double magnets could be if you want it all the way off
