What I hate most is, due to the level scaling, you need to grind to the 90's to beat Shiva, and at that point all the endgame bosses will be a joke. Thankfully this is no longer true in Vengeance.
Flashbangs and the Destroyer. 0:15 Atlus RPG muscle memory is very confused these days. 1:43 If you click Almighty he will respond in kind and flashbang you to death. Reload Jin would be proud. 5:02 The "for Vishnu" part tells me that we get to do the flashbangs too, but we don't get the extra crit rate. 5:50 Only said half of whose turn it is there. 8:25 Flashing lights warning! 10:17 It seems we're back to anti-climactic simple fades. 0:21 That'd be tough to do for, well, every game ever. 12:46 Especially since you have to go through a grinding-locked superboss to get it. 25:19 I got DSP'd.
So here a bit of triva with vishnu and Shiva. While hindu doesn't offical have sects and denominations in the sense like Christianity and the likes. However there are different sects or rather Sampradayas. The 2 most popular is Vaishnavism where vishu is the supreme deity. It the biggest sect of Hinduism with 2/3 of all hindu be identity as this sects. The second is Shaivism, which consists 1/4 of all hindu. This makes Shiva the supreme being. Their also other sects like Shaktism and Smartaism.
Yeah there's a lot of Hindu sects like that, they're interesting. (Harihara, the fusion of Shiva and Vishnu that's the boss of the last game, comes from a sect that worships both)
I finished Metaphor Refantazio! I will be giving my review on Tumblr. And I am hyped for Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition! Edit: With Metaphor Refantazio in mind, I can’t think about Vishnu and Shiva without thinking about Eupha. I love Eupha.
Hurray! Klingy's free from item drop hell! Man, kind of realized how THREE of this game's optional fights are locked behind a lot of RNG (i.e when you get the Jack Frost encounters and getting TWO hard to get item drops [EDIT: Originally assumed these drops had a specific drop rate, but since I couldn't find any solid numbers, I've decided to edit it out to prevent misinformation spreading. My apologies]). Kind of sucks it's like that. Anyway, back to the video! 1:11- That's good you had that at least, but if this game ever gets a rerelease on modern hardware, PLEASE let these items be guaranteed drops from their respective encounters. 4:19- Yeah, looking it up, Vishu has practically been Deity in 99% of all SMT games. The only ones where he isn't is this game (Fury and "gods" apparently, guessing that's the OG JP name before they mixed up with Fury here) and Devil Children (where he's amusingly classified under "Good," which is such a silly race name even if it fits). 12:48- Well, better than my guess of 0, but that still sucks. That said, really game? We're basically in Post Game territory; You couldn't let us have one more utterly broken skill that would only mess up like 1% of the game? You really had to nerf that skill? 14:20- Ummm... Does anyone want to tell Shiva he's completely optional and can ignore him to reach Brahman? 16:41- Betrayed by our favorite ring. How tragic. 16:47- "Bad Ring! You go in the naughty corner!" - BigKlingy 2024. 17:00- Wow... Atlus, please fix the Amala Ring so it's actually a good reward for defeating Demi in DDS1. 22:37- An extra turn icon without having to speed run boss rematches?! Sign me up! 24:12- Oh boy... 24:40- Just straight up deleted. LMAO 25:21- OH NOooooO! I'm sorry Klingy, I really am, but I have to laugh at the charm salt. LMAO 25:45- Oh no! The one time going up +2 stages in buffs is the worst thing ever. lol Before the usual, thanks Klingy for the videos. Don't say it enough, but I need to today as I really needed something like this. Anyway... In other news, A LOT since last time. However most of that a lot was mainly a lot of grinding in Master Duel, both to get my pass up to 100 before the current one's expiration around Thanksgiving and due to the recent event of Triangle Duels 2. For the latter, making good progress at 56/100. Not bad given it normally takes myself two events to grind myself up to that normally. That said, got to grind up a lot more and will probably be playing MD near daily to make up the difference. Might even have to put Brothership on the same SD card just so I don't waste time switching between the cards. As for the latter with the event, overall, it went pretty well. Had some frustrating losses and/or made me hate some decks more than I already do, but overall it went well and I even had some fun. However as a disclaimer, I took the coward's way for this event since I played Swordsouls, i.e a Synchro Deck, I got to avoid playing against Tenpei; Had I been forced to face them, my tune would absolutely be different now. As for now MD, before I do some last minute ladder climbing for extra gems, I am going to be doing some duels in the new Try Out event for Halloween to get a free card pack. That said, that's going to take some time as the loaners you have to take for this event are incredibly janky. However, while MD took up most of the time since the last video, that's not the only thing I did. With only a few more days left of the Halloween Season and how it wouldn't take too long to beat, I did one more horror game for one last hurrah for the season. The game in question being The Witch's House, specially the MV remake version as that was randomly on the Switch too and it was decently discounted at the same when I bought Conscript. Took only two days to beat it (one for the usual run and then another for the new Extra Mode/Hard Mode) and had a good time revisiting a classic I learned about from the early days of YT at its prime. For more on my thoughts on the game, made a Backloggd review for those curious on my exact thoughts. So what to do now? Besides the MD grinding, going to try and use my next week for backlog clearing. At minimum I want to at least beat Command Mission's Super boss since I've been delaying that for way too long. And if I can do that, I want to see if I can least get closer to beating either my one challenge run of Platinum if I can mentally steel myself for the grinding ahead (which is honestly the real challenge of this run, or what will be most likely picked, continue playing through Devil Survivor Overclocked and see if I can maybe beat that before Brothership comes to my doorstep.
@@BigKlingy Tried searching, but couldn't find a concrete number, so I'll edit my OG comment as to limit any potential misinformation from it. That said, my original point still stands of how these item drops should just be guaranteed if these games ever get a rerelease.
@jaredfayette2567 I would prefer it if it worked like the rare demons in Persona 2 where they are a low encounter but killing them gives you the item, in this case it allows you to fuse the demon into a Persona to use. Deity does fit Vishnu perfectly which is why it is used 99% of the time. At least Vishnu gets a signature attack since it is normally Shiva who gets those. I wonder if the Amala Ring should give two press turn icons. That probably is too broken. I was laughing too. Turns out Calling Angel for help can really backfire. Good to hear that you are making solid progress with Master Duel and doing anything to avoid fighting Tenpei since that deck sounded quite scary when you described it last time. I will be looking forward to reading that review on The Witch's House since it is a RPG Maker based game and I did watch a video about another game like that in King's Exit. Not sure where else I can mention this but I did read that review of Demon's Crest and since then, I found out that Firebrand is in some fighting games with SVC Chaos being one notable example. He is known as Red Arremer in that game and he is one of the secret characters and is quite oppressive with the many projectiles he can throughout so he is considered one of the top tiers there. SVC Chaos is quite the chaotic game since every character has some dialogue with the rest of the cast and Red Arremer transforms the other character he fights after he defeats them in battle. Good luck with that backlog clearing. I will be looking forward to that Command Mission review once you beat the super boss as well. I have also made good progress with both recording Thracia and progressing in Persona 2. I should be on track to beat Persona 2 before I start my playthrough of it on the channel. I hope you also enjoy the Thracia playthrough as well especially with the route split starting to upload on the channel since I never experienced the B route before I recorded those two chapters and that was an interesting experience. My brother has also made a good amount of progress with the games he has been playing with Resident Evil 2 being the main focus since it feels like he is closing in on the endgame as he is done with the lab now. We also had that Xenoblade X announcement and that will be a game that we both think about for next year.
I really want to make a joke about fans preserving media and companies making it impossible to get there for destroying it but I am not smart enough to word it good. Vishnu is very weird as I swear there are times his AI breaks or something and the last element you used gets ignored sometimes. Also shout out to a friend of mine who was insane enough to try to get through Vishnu with only almighty skills. He was on NG+ though so he did get far in that fight. Ah Shiva. How your SMT V fight is a horrific nightmare for many who enter not expecting much, though Demi-Fiend and Nahobino combo does feel cathartic to use on him in SMT V Vengeance. Next time I don’t remember what comes up next if I am honest as my brain is too much in hype juice for Xenoblade X DE coming to switch!
Yeah in some of my failures Vishnu didn't switch when I expected him to. I had trouble with Shiva in vanilla V, but found him much easier in Vengeance. I chalk this up to the level scaling, in Vengeance I could win in the mid-80's, while you kinda need to grind to the mid 90's to even scratch him in vanilla.

So the only real counter is keeping him Tarunda'd and yourself Rakukaja'd. 12:46 yep lol. 16:40 Agreed, it's hilarious. Also gave me a chance to show off his "berserk mode". 21:45 Shiva is basically "both of you take a lot of damage". 22:36 Except this one isn't useless, as there's two more superbosses after this and neither kills you for using it! 25:25 That's the point of showing the fails.
"Why does he waste turns doing that?" Immediately dies afterwards. If you hadn't died that'd be hilarious.

No more elaborate animations... for now.
12:23 We can flashbang the enemy now. Also hi Huang Long Gaming, you're here too.
14:07 Good old Atlus superboss. If immunity, spam Almighty.
15:37 I love that Turn 6. He's "weak" to everything.
16:00 He will respond to your buff/debuff shanenigans by getting rid of them and proceeding to delete you. Typical Shiva.
16:47 Poor Demi-fiend, he got powercrept.
17:53 Das a lotta damage!
21:43 And Shiva burns. Fittingly.
22:35 4 press turns, our beloved. They're all back.
23:49 Heat can now enjoy being smacked in the face.
26:17 And next time...
"My pain... is still far greater than YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURS!"
- Seth, i guess (I remembered!)
5:07 Yep, lol.
14:07 "Too many resistances,? Megidolaon" - Sirlionheart, I think?
15:37 I like it when bosses are vulnerable right after their strongest move.
26:17 I plan on making that exact joke.
0:21 You know, sometimes I wish button mapping for specific actions was consistent for every game ever, just so that you never have to deal with muscle memory messing you up. I get why it isn't that way, but a bit more consistency would be nice.
5:02 WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK!?!?!?
12:46 ...Really, game? It would have been fun if it was just as broken in the player's hands as it is in the hands of the AI.
22:33 Oh, hell yes!
24:13 Yay!
25:19 The charm salt is real.
I just beat the 2nd arc so it's probably a while before I get Eupha.
@ Heismay became one of my favorite characters after that arc.
LMAO
25:21- OH NOooooO! I'm sorry Klingy, I really am, but I have to laugh at the charm salt. LMAO
25:45- Oh no! The one time going up +2 stages in buffs is the worst thing ever. lol
Before the usual, thanks Klingy for the videos.
Are there 1% drops, I really hope they're not.
@@BigKlingy Wait, I thought you said they were 1% drops earlier or did I mishear? I'll try and double check.
@@jaredfayette2567 I said I HOPE they're not 1% drops.
It didn't take me too many resets to get Pinaka, so they're probably more like 5%.
@@BigKlingy Tried searching, but couldn't find a concrete number, so I'll edit my OG comment as to limit any potential misinformation from it. That said, my original point still stands of how these item drops should just be guaranteed if these games ever get a rerelease.
@jaredfayette2567
I would prefer it if it worked like the rare demons in Persona 2 where they are a low encounter but killing them gives you the item, in this case it allows you to fuse the demon into a Persona to use.
Wait so the party's version of Vishnu's signature move is nerfed but their version of Shiva's isn't? Why Atlus? You got some 'slpaining to do.
I guess because Shiva's 100% Stun won't work on bosses since they're all immune to ailments, while Vishnu's crits would give you extra turns.
Vishnu & Shiva.. Huh. The fights don't take long but still not like the rest of the foes U encountered before tho that they're not gonna go down easily.. After that, rewards.. Mantras.. Interesting..
Fail channel?- Oh.. Oof. Explains about it earlier. That 1st Shiva fight tho before it. Ulp.
Superbosses? Pain?? Oh dear...
1:31 They both null Physical. Wow that's weird like I get Shiva but Vishnu?
4:23 So basically kecleon? But if you use almighty you're fucked gotcha
5:01 Jesus Christ 3 hits of heavy almighty in persona is stupid 10-15 moderate!??!
7:08 So colour change but it only changes during his turn wow that make the fight way easier or at least less strict.
8:34 I guess we understand now how P5 bosses felt when we used Izanagi no okami on them
12:46 Wow insert boss when you fight vs boss when you use him meme here.
15:12 Okay that's some Margaret BS right there
15:59 With what?
16:20 WTF okay got the memo
16:40 😂😂😂 I'm sorry you got rekt like that because of Cielos sukukaja ring jesus Christ that's so ridiculous its funny.
16:57 Wow. Thanks demi fiend you suck.
19:24 Oh come on
19:45 Fitting move for someone who's a destroyer
21:45 Yoloing it kinda worked there.
22:36 Welp typical SMT accessory for beating a superboss.
25:25 😂😂😂😂 I'm sorry that's funny
4:23 Kecleon when you have no money: So you have chosen death.
@@ashyflame
4:23
Imagine facing an army of those Kecleon that all have movesets that change to counter you
1:31 Which means I can't show off Divine Light on them...
5:01 Also NEVER MISSES.
