I can seriously relate to your experience in SMT2. I nearly quit the game because I couldn’t land a single hit on any of the last bosses. I also never got any of the fusion swords so I had no particularly good swords. Fortunately, I was on track for the neutral ending so I was able to grab Masakado’s sword which let me hit the final bosses semi-consistently. Unfortunately I also got the Tarukaja glitch and had to build my attack all the way back up mid-way into the fight. No way I would’ve been able to beat the game if I had been on any other route. I'm something of an expert for the Elizabeth boss fights myself. So I think I can say some corrections here and there in those sections. 57:37 That is not true for Light/Dark skills. You can't null those. Ailments wise though, that's correct. 57:45 She doesn't exactly spam 9,999 Megidolaon. She will switch it up by using Pixie to heal and whatnot. And she can use the skills from the persona she used last. As an example, if in the 99th turn she used Cu Chullain, she can and will use Pixie and Cu Chullain moves in the 100th and the turn after that if you somehow survived. 57:55 That's not true either, her intended method to be beaten does not require the High Counter skip. It's called a skip for a reason, it isn't required as a win condition. Technically speaking, Infinity is not required as well if you're doing lowest turns. I've done that myself. All posted in the channel. 58:03 That's not true as well. When she has her turn, she will always switch to the next persona in the rotation mentioned beforehand. Regardless of only using phys attacks in that turn. This is an important detail since it tells you what element does 1.5x more damage against her (And what she drains). I call this property "Vulnerability", many bosses in P3 has this. In her case, it's the opposite element of the persona she's using last (So in this case, Fire to Ice and Wind to Elec). 58:22 There's other methods, mostly kinda niche but it has its uses. Endure + Enduring soul and Valhalla (This is relevant in P3P specifically). 58:29 She's intended to be halved HP wise twice then Armageddon in this version. First time she heals, she does this when her health goes below 10K. However, when you half her health the second time, she will not do this. As the new treshold for healing is under 6K. So no calculator is required to beat her at all. Just some intuition based on her HP bar. You're describing what's called the High Counter skip. Which does makes the fight shorter if done, but it's not the end of the fight if not achieved. 58:44 That is blatantly false. They do Diarahan. However, they'll simply go back to using the persona they used last. As an example, if I knocked her down to less than 10K for the first time after she used Jack Frost, she'll use Pixie to Diarahan and then use Jack Frost again. This happens as well on the second heal if you knocked her down to under 6K damage. Normally you would have done Armageddon already before hitting this though. Even then, I'm not sure where this misconception comes from. 59:15 Telos has never been a winning condition for the fight. I did my lowest turns (14) in Vanilla for many reasons, that one included. But really, all the complicated calculations are only a requirement when under such restrictions. Some preparation might be needed but this fight is actually pretty much alright to be freestyle'd as long as the rules are being abided. Overall in any of the first three versions, you technically only need a Surt, Odin, Helel, Satan, Ananta, Vishnu and Anubis to get through it (Technically less in P3P due to how fusion spells work there). When talking about the other versions though, I would mention that a Plume of Dusk is free in any difficulty in FES due to an added request. And that you can stack resist phys armor and resist magic sword in there. And the more streamlined preparations in P3P as reasons to think why they're easier. I'm quite an expert in Devil Survivor as well. Basically beat Lucifer, Alice, and the Tico Twins solo (It's actually simpler than many think) 1:01:18 Tyrant strategy is more popular for the simple reason that Lucifer himself is a Tyrant demon in this game. There's a passive called Race-O that boosts the attacks of demons when it's attacking a demon from the same race. Putting this into Loki basically unlocks the method how to do this with only the protagonist and his team of demons. You need a Kishin, Tyrant and a Vile demon to get through it all but it's more than possible. Technically there is a method to allow the usage of Multistrike against him if you somehow shock him with Elec spells as well. But that hasn't been properly done before, sadly. It's harder to pull off in the Vanilla version due to the game not having Extra Charge on the protagonist. Which helps a lot more than many think. But Dual Shadow is in there so it's technically doable with some more luck. Overall though, the best strategy against Lucifer involves having many tyrants with Race-O against him. For a much more faster fight overall.
Holy shit I never thought I would make THAT MANY mistakes when I talked about Elizabeth and her rules lol I really want to pin your comment to make everyone know I fucked up, unfortunately, I have to leave the already pinned comment there to make all the people know my video editor ruined some portions of the video. Although, I appreciate you taking the time to write a comment explaining each of the mistakes I made related to Elizabeth. I'm sure someone will see it and learn how Elizabeth works. Thanks man!
@@CarlosMW it's hard to beat nearly two decades of misinformation, after all. It's very understandable how the general fanbase is not aware of this. Chances are you'll also hear people say High Counter's 50% in repel rate in P3-P3P (it's just 20%), it's been ingrained to basically everyone. More or less, the things I mentioned are relatively recent in being discovered. That's another factor too.
shadow okumura nearly caused my parents to think i was obsessed with persona 5 royal bc i struggled so much with the time management aspect that i didnt get dressed or eat breakfast that morning. if that was the hardest boss for me in p5, im terrified to find out what the other, harder smt bosses will make me do lol
Regarding the demi fiend in smt v, there’s another way to survive his Gaea rage attacks. If you farm enough vitality to reach 400, you’ll have enough defense to tank it. At that point you can reasonably beat demi fiend with a solo Nahobino party, as long as you don’t get unlucky with chaotic will. Anything less than 400 vitality will force you to play by the rules, but if you exceed the 400 vitality threshold it’s safe to say that Demi fiend isn’t the superboss of smt v anymore… *you are*. The strongest entity in the smt series (gameplay wise) is the nahobino with max stats. Even on the hardest difficulty, demi fiend has to get lucky with chaotic will just to beat nahobino, because gaea rage is only doing about 200 damage and nahobino can easily heal that off with magatsuhi wellspring. Demi fiends allies can only do 2-4 damage, even while Nahobino’s defense is debuffed to -2. At this rate it’s a one sided battle that is in your favor, and what did it cost? 94 new plus cycles farming balms!
Apparently, special phys skills cannot miss in smt2. So I used them against yellow head. Also, Mouth of God is tame and in its entirety, the battle is simply tedious, but not hard. Satan threatens you with Mamudoon, which can hit Aleph... while you can ensure that *record scratch* can't hit MC with instakill.
@@CarlosMW I have a record of my own attempt of YHVH fight on my channel. Tbh, Warped Mind Hazama is MUCH WORSE. The guy has instakill which for me always went to Tamaki. Without final guard spam or having Tetraja user with 21 agility or more this fight is almost impossible.
You know those superbosses that spam their super attack when low on health? Nexus dinogator does that in the first phase, spamming Pout which does roughly 300 cut damage per hit for 10 hits to random members of your party.
59:54! 🙌 OMG, I still remember going up against Elizabeth for the first time, completely unprepared! It was only my 2nd “SMT” game. (It was 2007!). And while it won’t be quite the same, I swear I’m going to beat her in “P3: Reload”! 😂 (And shout out to the final boss in “SMTIV: A”! I love that game and went through the whole thing without much trouble. And then the final boss. I remember the first time I struggled through the 1st phase only to be like… “There’s MORE!”)
@@CarlosMW Omg, please do! And push through the noise farming! It only takes like 40-60 hours. I will say, while it isn’t necessary for the fight by any means, I do recommend it!
Surprised Beldr wasnt mentioned for DeSu1, bro was so annoying i grinded my party up to late 20s just so i could be sure i could beat his shit in then again my first non-overeleveled attempt went mostly well until one of his basilisk reinforcements turned Kazuya to stone and then he just killed me, and even thought Yuzu COULD revive me from this in any other scenario, since one of the fail conditions was "Kazuya dies" i just lost then and there... so needless to say my salt from that may skew my view on him a little
I find Metatron on Naoya's 8th day (kill path) to be significantly harder than Babel... IF you're trying to get the No K.O achievement Metatron is a magic powerhouse that has infinite range and will most certainly target Kaido due to his pitful magic stat, and he attacks twice iirc. But wait, just don't use Kaido if you want the No K.O title, right? Well if you decide to kill all the humans you will be stuck with MC, Naoya, Atsuro, Kaido and Black Frost... If you did recruit Black Frost to begin with, and MC and Kaido are your best fighters anyways so you do want Kaido to smack the generic enemies around. As for the Okumura fight in Royal... I love it, I adore when it takes place. The boss fight happens when you can start to build extremely powerful Personae, such as Raoul if you do a good job with the twins quests. But all that overwhelming power will not save you unless you have fully mastered the mechanics such as buffs, debuffs and baton pass. Only by combining those three mechanics with the right timing you will win in Hard Mode. Plus even if you do not have incredibly powerful Personae, Haru joins perfectly equipped to take down the green robots. The fight is amazingly designed because it expects you to have a strong collection of Personae but even if you don't, you still have a party member that is meant to counter the hardest phase if you use her well.
@@CarlosMW Everytime you beat Devil Survivor you get some achievements like "Beat x route" "Finish the game without random battles" "Finish the game without having any leader be defeated" (the one I am talking about) And so on
@@CarlosMW I am hunting those Fiends right now on Law mode any tips to make them much appear faster on certain location? Before I go fight the 2 super bosses of ancient of Days and Sanat. I am on Ginza and felt asleep while my N3DS running took me 30minutes still that Cowboy didn't appear, help.

@@CarlosMW She is not easy, especially if you dont use commander skills, she have multiple phases and test your memory from previous boss battles in Womb of The Grief, and force player to constantly change demons between diffirent alignments. She was more problematic than Ouroboros for me, which is just test of your demon composition. Atleast Shekinah is easier than YHVH from SMT IV Apocalypse.
Matador is only bad on first go around as he is the check of the game and he teaches you to prep for bosses HOWEVER there is one section and one boss that is just awful and that is the first trip into the amala network and the specter jumping at the end because once you know of matador you can prep but ever fucking play through of nocturne that first visit and fight are hell as because you are still early on you can’t really prepare matador is a surprise bitch slap if you aren’t using buffs and Debuffs and to make teams for fights and once you do that he’s a difficult but fun fight on the level of the rest of early nocturne while the first visit to the amala network and specter one are a endurance test every run Edit: I ain’t done yet what makes me say specter the hardest boss is where it is in the game as mot is in the last dungeon before the tower of kaga, Beelzebub is 4th kalpa, Lucifer is the final boss of the true demon ending so you expect these bosses to be hard the specter jumping and amala network one is the second dungeon and boss in the game and these come out of bumfuck nowhere

@@fardinhasan2947 wait, you can't rematch Rugal?! I thought the only super boss that you couldn't rematch was that little girl from SVC Chaos: Capcom VS SNK
@CarlosMW Nope .You have to meet specific requirements to fight him and you got only one shot at it .If you fail that's it no rematch .That's way he's the secret boss .
I didn’t find Ouroboros that hard (I wouldn’t call her a joke either) although I respect it for being one of the only bosses that actually utilizes demon coop with the boss being basically a dps race. Here’s the thing though…The game literally gives a demon with Fire Amp in the room before you fight Ouroboros lol. By that point in the game you can easily get 3 demons with agidyne, hell by level 41 you can get both luster candy and debilitate so throw that all together and well goodbye Ouroboros lol. Contrary to popular belief you don’t need passwords to completely break Strange Journeys difficulty but that’s overkill really, Tarukaja and Rakukaja are all you need
Sector E isn't so bad once you realize its actually a set of mini dungeons you take one step at a time as opposed to one big dungeon. Sector G on the other hand is basically what people criticize Sector E for being..... a big maze thats just complete nonsense
Hardest Boss in Megaten game angry CarlosMW. If Sega wants to go the way of Capcom (microtransactions in Dragons Dogma 2) pissed off MegaTen fans at Sega HQ and destroy them completely. So serious is the greed of the publishers and developers of the Shin Megami Tensei/Persona series.

Basically beat Lucifer, Alice, and the Tico Twins solo (It's actually simpler than many think)
1:01:18 Tyrant strategy is more popular for the simple reason that Lucifer himself is a Tyrant demon in this game.
Holy shit I never thought I would make THAT MANY mistakes when I talked about Elizabeth and her rules lol
I really want to pin your comment to make everyone know I fucked up, unfortunately, I have to leave the already pinned comment there to make all the people know my video editor ruined some portions of the video.
Shekinah from SJR made me lose my mind
Once you understand Shekinah's gimmick is quite easy to beat it tbh
shadow okumura nearly caused my parents to think i was obsessed with persona 5 royal bc i struggled so much with the time management aspect that i didnt get dressed or eat breakfast that morning. if that was the hardest boss for me in p5, im terrified to find out what the other, harder smt bosses will make me do lol

What was the clip of the person picking up the original smt for the super famicom at the start? I’ve never seen it!
It's from the Shin Megami Tensei V commercial
Ebin video, Mr. nakajima momazos
Muchas gracias Thanatos de Persona 3!
Fortunately, farming for Max Vit is piss easy on SMT V: Vengeance! :D
I think I was too generous with Demi-Fiend considering he did suffer less compared to Flynn lol
Wait, is that true? huh, I didn't know that until now lmao
Megidoladyne is still in my nightmares...
Margaret from P4AU topped the list.
What a plot twist, lol
1:12 I think that could apply to any ATLUS rpg, so many hard games with tough enemies. (f**king dinogator)
Are the Dinogator from Etrian Oddysey?
Yep, the one in Nexus is especially frustrating even on picnic difficulty
@@peterwilliams1724 why exactly? I've never played an EO game

I adore the Demi Fiend DDS fight. It’s my favourite fight in the whole series, probably with Lucifer from Nocturne and Elizabeth behind it.
I really want to fight him, but first I need to start playing DDS haha
@@CarlosMW Omg, please do! And push through the noise farming! It only takes like 40-60 hours. I will say, while it isn’t necessary for the fight by any means, I do recommend it!
I still have to beat SMT VX and Soul Hackers first tho haha
@@CarlosMW Soul Hackers 2 isn’t worth your time imo. Soul Hackers 1 definitely is tho.

Wtf ATLUS?
Atlus pulled an "Atlus" moment
@@CarlosMW DAMN you atlus
Demi fiend is built different
He makes you feel like a useless f*ck in front of his bros amd harem
Surprised Beldr wasnt mentioned for DeSu1, bro was so annoying i grinded my party up to late 20s just so i could be sure i could beat his shit in
then again my first non-overeleveled attempt went mostly well until one of his basilisk reinforcements turned Kazuya to stone and then he just killed me, and even thought Yuzu COULD revive me from this in any other scenario, since one of the fail conditions was "Kazuya dies" i just lost then and there... so needless to say my salt from that may skew my view on him a little
Beldr is not hard, but the most annoying part of that battle are those f...ng Basilisk with petrification. Benetnash was a lot harder in Desu 2.
IT'S OUT
I was expecting a comment from you to feature it in the video 😭
@@CarlosMW I gotta let the other guys have the spotlight
okay but where was sleeping table
Not mentioned enough. However, it still appears in the last minutes of the video
I find Metatron on Naoya's 8th day (kill path) to be significantly harder than Babel... IF you're trying to get the No K.O achievement
Metatron is a magic powerhouse that has infinite range and will most certainly target Kaido due to his pitful magic stat, and he attacks twice iirc.
What's the NO K.O Tittle?
@@CarlosMW

Peinado de los 2000 tal vez jaja
Shekinah (SJR) and Huang Long (DDS1) missing, but overall great list
Huang Long might be a great candidate, but Shekinah is just a gimmick boss that is easy once you figure out what to do
@@CarlosMW She is not easy, especially if you dont use commander skills, she have multiple phases and test your memory from previous boss battles in Womb of The Grief, and force player to constantly change demons between diffirent alignments. She was more problematic than Ouroboros for me, which is just test of your demon composition. Atleast Shekinah is easier than YHVH from SMT IV Apocalypse.
I forgot all about Margaret in P4 Arena Ultimax. I thought Elizabeth in Persona 4 Arena was annoying enough.
She also is a pain in the butt to fight against, but is way tolerable than Margaret because her DP really sucks (even in Boss Mode)
Matador is only bad on first go around as he is the check of the game and he teaches you to prep for bosses HOWEVER there is one section and one boss that is just awful and that is the first trip into the amala network and the specter jumping at the end because once you know of matador you can prep but ever fucking play through of nocturne that first visit and fight are hell as because you are still early on you can’t really prepare matador is a surprise bitch slap if you aren’t using buffs and Debuffs and to make teams for fights and once you do that he’s a difficult but fun fight on the level of the rest of early nocturne while the first visit to the amala network and specter one are a endurance test every run
Edit: I ain’t done yet what makes me say specter the hardest boss is where it is in the game as mot is in the last dungeon before the tower of kaga, Beelzebub is 4th kalpa, Lucifer is the final boss of the true demon ending so you expect these bosses to be hard the specter jumping and amala network one is the second dungeon and boss in the game and these come out of bumfuck nowhere
And I thought Akuma in SF Alpha and Rugal in KOF 2K2UM is unfair .
THEY ARE unfair tho
@CarlosMW Atleas for akuma you can rematch him I think but for rugal ,hoooh boy ,he's gonna kick your ass ,laugh at fou for being pathetic and spit on your body for wasting his time (SNK BOSS SYNDROME)
@@fardinhasan2947 Jesus. I lived a lie my whole life
I didn’t find Ouroboros that hard (I wouldn’t call her a joke either) although I respect it for being one of the only bosses that actually utilizes demon coop with the boss being basically a dps race.
Same
Maybe because I played REDUX instead of the original, but still, I don't understand how many people struggle fighting her
Can we just say that Demi Fiend is the most powerful boss in SMT history and can solo the verse if needed?
He might be the most powerful, however he's one of the "weakest" protagonists lore wise
DDS MENTIONED
Not mentioning them would be committing a big ass sin
Sector E isn't so bad once you realize its actually a set of mini dungeons you take one step at a time as opposed to one big dungeon. Sector G on the other hand is basically what people criticize Sector E for being..... a big maze thats just complete nonsense
I hated Sector G and H with all my heart
