I plan to install LHD HEADERS onto my RHD BMW E46 325Ci. Am I CRAZY?

- It's been a long time coming, but I finally bought some HEADERS for my E46 325Ci. But why did I get Left Hand Drive HEADERS for my Right Hand Drive E46? Well - it wasn't planned, but when an opportunity raises its head, sometimes you've just got to GO FOR IT; right?
Getting a set of HEADERS for your RHD BMW E46 is a challenge. There are quite a few choices for the LHD, but not so for the RHD. Supersprint makes a quality set however, they come with a quality price tag - Ouch!
It is not like I had not considered the possibility of trying to make a LHD set of HEADERS fit, and I have given it some thought. So in this video, I will explain how I plan to make these LHD Headers fit onto my RHD BMW E46 325Ci.

Big mistake guy and box guy were hilarious! 🤣 best video yet. That steering column really does get in the way, it's a problem for a lot of turbo builds too.

Hi Micheal 😊 there is a method that people have used where they use a 90 degree piece on one of the bungs and slightly crush one of the collector pipes to clear the column. Some people also use a 1 piece steering column part that removes the big donut off the steering assembly and thus opens up the clearances a bit. Quite a few entries on forums for this as you can imagine. I do like your idea though, very home grown and out there. Definetely keep in mind about exhaust pulses and scavenging though. Might not affect you so much being forced induction but for it to be viable for us naturally aspirated people ,who are probably the majority of your viewers,exhaust pulses and scavenging are important. As I said in a previous comment I’m Buzzing to see how you tackle this and if your solution is viable and available commercially then I hope your up for shipping to the land of kilts and bag pipes because the dough is ready and waiting for a set. This is a company in the U.K. that sell a set, bertz customz I think they’re call but to actually see someone fit a set to rhd and can vouch for the Fitment, I’d much rather buy yours

Definitely following regarding RHD headers. Would definitely be worth marketing these in the UK too.
To anyone thinking of doing this, i would say just get the supersprint catless headers that will actually fit, just paid an exhaust shop $2000 just to make these fit, 4 pipes needed to be remade, squashed etc as well as relocating both collectors and all o2 sensor bungs
Lol you got ripped off from the shop or you just got a bad set of headers. Don’t get me wrong fitment does matter but you shouldn’t have had to pay that much.

Hey mate. Im in Melb and have an E46 touring with the M54-B22 engine. Would be interested in a set of headers if this is something your still working on
I bought DNA headers for my Chevy silverado and they fit great but the box was missing most of the hardware. Bought ARP bolts and better gaskets and they are doing well.
Those headers would be insane! I would definitely be interested in a set.Id be curious to see how much difference they will make with the supercharger , good luck!

BERTZ Customs from the UK seem to have RHD headers for about 800aud

Hey mate, just wanted to know if there’s any progress for this, I got an m54 engine and it didn’t come with the manifold, so was looking at headers, can only find LHD ones
