Yes the upstream o2’s will control fuel trim, the down stream o2’s read air fuel post cat,and let the dme know if there is an issue with the catalytic converter.
Also pull your secondary air pump and blank off the two bolt flange for the egr if you haven’t done it already. No need to recirculate the air if there are no cats to warm. Plus extra weight gone from under the hood.👍🏻

Ebay Headers dont fit to the exhaust pipes, I purchased mine for my car and they were inches off also the secondary o2 sensor ports were on the top making it impossible to install anything in them besides a plug. I had to have an exhaust shop weld new joints on to them and weld new o2 sensor ports in locations where the angles can have enough clearance. Also you dont need heat shields on the gaskets for ebay headers, heat shields are for catalytic converters because they store a lot of heat while the ebay headers made of thin metal dont. The ebay headers dont store any heat, the moment you shut the car off withing 2 minutes the pipes are cold enough for you to touch them and not to get a burn, also so for 3 years I never needed the heat shields. Also ebay headers might not seat perfect as OEM on the head of the engine therefore they require the thick gasket they come with.
Geez, sounds like you fought yours a bit more than i did. Beside the o2 sensors, mine were basically plug and play. I did not know that about the gaskets and heat shields. I just played it safe and put the OEM shield back on it. I haven’t had any leaking issues on the manifold. Appreciate the comment and letting us know about your experiences! I just ordered some headers and I was wondering If I go the two o2 sensor route (which I'm positive I'm doing, pre cat sensors only), will I be able to fit them into one of the 2 bungs without a j spacer?
@Tenza Motorsports okay, do you know if there is any harm/issues with running both o2 sensors out of the one header that has more space and simply leave one header plugged? (Again, both are the "pre-cat sensors)
Question? On your video 8.39 I noticed bolts were missing to fully bolt your Ebay headers to your bmw! Btw *Nathans bmw diy garage utube has info on how to Correctly install Cheap Ass Headers.
I Purchased the spoiler through HARD Motorsport. They build the chassis mount for it. But the wing itself is a 71” APR GT250 wing. www.hardmotorsport.com/apr-carbon-fiber-67-rear-spoiler-compatible-with-hard-upright-kits/

I noticed your e46 appears to be an M3, will these headers work with a standard e46? A 330ci to be specific. Fantastic video! Luckily Washington State just removed emissions testing statewide! Thanks in advance!
Thats awesome, I hope they keep emissions testing out of Idaho! My car is in fact a 330ci. it is a 2001 and It has the M54 B30 engine. These headers will definitely fit and work on your car. Make sure to budget a tune of some sort so your car will run right and get all the extra HP the headers can provide. let me know if you have any other questions!
I just put the same headers on my 330ci. I have to put a whole new exhaust on it because the new headers won't reach the stock exhaust to bolt on. So basically I'm running just headers... and the car runs like absolute garbage... I'm not sure if its because the lack of exhaust or the fact that I removed the o2 sensors entirely... but it lopes like a cammed v8 and likes to die as soon as the clutch is pushed in. Have you had any similar issues?
I run no muffler. It's very loud and I'm going to be changing it soon. So from front to back I run eBay headers stock mid pipe with stock resonators and no muffler. check out my latest to hear more of my exhaust. ua-cam.com/video/rxiIecHQ4po/v-deo.html
It would throw a code for sure. I don't know if it would cause any issues though. I know the precats will mess with the car. you'd have to look that one up or unplug the rears and see what it does.
@@TenzaMotorsports some say it will fit bcs same engine. Just the flow of the header might be different a little bit. The o2 sensor might be not big issues. The angle of the flange could be the issues, need to cut and weild. What if cut between the header, is there possibility to leak? Or use 2 gasket.
If it doesn't fit you'd only be out $150 and some time. might be worth it to try! If it works out you should post a video it would be very interesting to see.

You should only need one lamda sensor per bank now that you’ve deleted the catalytic converters. Just cap/weld the lower bung.

Btw beautiful car, I’m not normally a fan of such a large spoiler but with all your other aero it works. It kind of reminds me of the bmw gt cars.

Where do the pre cat o2 sensors go in the new headers?
They have a location on them right around the area where the headers go from 3 to 1. no modification needed for the precats!
is the quad pipe diffusor DIY? looks great, thinking of having quad pipes, but with what bumper to do best? maybe M tech face lift?

Most likely not. Some of the sensors hit the fire wall.

why do u even need the second o2 sensors? they are pretty useless if u dont have cat there

Lol one header is made out of real metal the other is well not titanium.
For the $1000+ difference I'll stick with the Ebay headers. They have been great so far. No leaks. No cracks.
