- Little Mac down tilt to up b actually works in Smash Ultimate, even with down tilt being nerfed from Smash 4! With a precise jump, you can actually kill even earlier than with a normal up b!

I’m so happy someone’s finally covering down tilt up b, been using it for like 8 or 9 months and while getting the slight dash before the jump was the hardest part to get used to its a very reliable confirm
Glad to hear you’re planning on putting out more videos
I didn’t realize the jumps so when I saw it used I thought it was just bad di, apparently it was this
This seems a little character-dependent. This combo seems to be easier on some characters than others. Steve, for instance, is one character it seems to be nearly impossible to execute on for me without relying on Dempsey Tilt. Ridley, on the other hand, is a character this combo works extraordinarily well on.
I was gonna close YT after 0:35 because man i felt that pain.
mac man i need help what do i do after teching the side of the stage mac is completely helpless
Is dtilt then dashing then up b not true? I’ve done that for ages now
Dashing before grounded up b isn't fast enough to be true. You have to initiate a dash and then input a full hop on the next frame to get enough aerial momentum to catch them with the first hit of up b.
Grounded rising uppercut doesn't have enough horizontal aerial drift to catch the angle down tilt sends at, and in addition the first hit of rising uppercut has a larger hitbox than the multi hits that extends just enough to catch them with the aerial version.
uptilt yes, dtilt no
@@Macman678you have like 8 frames don’t pull shit outta your ass, Mac is so easy and it’s incredibly frustrating to see Mac mains complaining about how hard it is to hit a 2 hit kill confirm.
@@4etika731 I already know you have no idea what you're talking about if you think Mac is easy. 10 minutes of gameplay from players like Peanut or Tarakotori would pretty quickly show how optimally you have to play the character to get equal results with an actual easy character like Pyra/Mythra. Secondly, if you knew anything about Little Mac you'd know that down tilt to grounded up b isn't true because of the angle of down tilt and the air speed of up b. The dash into full hop gives just enough horizontal distance to connect with up b's larger initial hitbox. You can even look up Little Mac's frame data and find GIFs of rising uppercut's hitbox to see for yourself.
Before you write off an entire segment of the player base for playing a character you don't like, actually do the research instead of throwing out knee-jerk reactions and insults. It's a bad look.
@@Macman678 “Mac isn’t easy” Mac is incredibly easy at all levels besides the very top, which I hope I don’t have to remind you, isn’t where you play. Also I never claimed dtilt into up b was true on the ground, I claimed it’s an easy confirm and Mac players only say it’s hard because it’s the only remotely difficult part of the execution of their combos. Mac is hard to play. He isn’t hard to learn. He has one of the simplest game plans out of any character in the game. And one of the most clear win conditions as well. I’ll upload a vid later today of me hitting dtilt to up b 15 times in a row just for you though
