While property taxes are much less, I pay ALOT more for car/motorcycle and homeowners insurance , ALOT more for yearly registration of vehicles , ALOT more for dental and medical services, and ALOT more for utilities than I did in PA. Also the job market is much less here while the payrates are also alot less here. It's a myth that the cost of living is cheaper in Myrtle.
It can be done! If you are looking for purchasing a home with financing, we have to just make sure to use one of the few Canadian banks who also have branches in the US.
