same! i was 13 at the time and my spanish teacher always let me and a couple others do our own version of snl skits in class on slow days without much work and we would do the motivational speaker and I would do Harry Carey skits to. And Chris Died like right before christmas and i was legitimately heart broken for quite a while after his death it hit me and my dad hard :( was a sad xmas/winter. They say Chris had finished 85-95 percent of his dialogue for playing Shrek and I wish they would make a cut of the movie with him as the voice as a dedication to his legacy. It would sell like crazy.
The director of this skit did a great job. They made sure Adam's face was always on screen, so you could see just how many times he almost cracks. The slow zooms into his face always get me.

Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Saenz did in EVERY sketch they were in. Adam Sandler did it mostly when he was with Chris Farley. Agreed that Farley is an irresistible comedic force that can't be contained, he's such a scene stealer.
I wonder if that's why Sandler never did a full movie with him. He just couldn't keep a straight face next to Farley, and there were probably a lot of takes in his cameos because of it.

There is a story about the "Pepper Boy" sketch where even though Farley had 1 line that was supposed to be completely insignificant, he ended up delivering it in a way that made him nearly the funniest part in it. I cannot tell you how many times I think “what would George Carlin say about this?” in my head. Another is Patrice O’Neal, a genius comedian who wasn’t nearly as popular as he should’ve been.
This was always my favorite sketch. The absurdity of it and all. I was listening to Robert Smigel on a podcast and he mentioned this sketch as being brilliant and it made me happy to hear him hold this one in high regards.

Sandler couldn't even keep his character in tune up there with Chris Farley. Adam was supposed to look sad, but Farley broke that steel ball with his gift of comedy and had Sandler losing it.
One of the best from 92' SNL.
Adam, one of the funniest guys, nearly losing his shit in every Chris scene just shows how much people respect him.
