The reality is that once you have kids, the responsibility of raising them is fulfilling in itself, not a chore, and it unites the couple. If most Jewish families start having children once you get married, less people will be getting divorced overall.

What about someone who’s addicted to drugs or gambler? Is that a reason to say they married the wrong person?

I had been taking Hebrew in college, and one day at the store I saw an Hasidic Jewish man at the store with his children. I started saying hello, and asking him how he was. I wanted to only be a kind neighbor and say hello and hear someone speak Hebrew back to me. He didn't answer me , and I didn't understand why. I thought, does he think I want him in an inappropriate way? I don't flirt with married men. But someone explained to me that he's not allowed to talk to me. I was shocked but not upset. And then I felt very bad for breaking some command that I didn't know of or doing something wrong in some way without realizing it.

He also may not have really been able speak Hebrew conversationally. Most Hasidic Jews speak Yiddish, but Hebrew is reserved for prayer. They only learn biblical hebrew, nor modern conversational hebrew. There is a certain amount of understanding, but modern and biblical Hebrew aren't exactly interchangeable . its like speaking Shakespearean English to Americans.

Very very true. Intimacy is so much better! Unconditional commitment and imperfection. Quick question. Separating/divorcing from a non-Jewish spouse. Is that a mitzvah?

I am still not sure why you don't like ORTHODOX, it has nothing to do with dividing! if you wanna say you love every Jew, OK i get it, BUT to say if you call some one an orthodox Jew means not loving others is absurd

@@lizzyjeanne I’ve seen some very nice, natural-looking wigs in older ladies in my condo bldg. that DO look natural, but none of them have the extra long, straight hair with a part down the middle. Ditto for all of the Hasidic women I’ve seen in NYC.

I like a lot of what is being said. But part of joy in a relationship is also sexual chemistry. So, what if your spouse is bad in bed? What if they are not teachable? So, sex is lack luster. Sure, they’re a great person, but sexually speaking they are horrible.
Kissing in public does not equate to a horrible relationship. When I kiss in public I am not doing it for attention. And it is just for my spouse and I. It’s just showing affection.

The primary reason divorce rate is way lower in the religious community is because of the social taboo against divorce, not because of how wonderful the marriages are . Lots of smoke and mirrors.

Well I am not orthodox, but I just don't understand how she can say that she can find the same love with someone else. One time I heard an orthodox rabbi saying, that even if you are "allowed" to remarry, the spouse that had passed away will be angry in shamayim. I never forgot that. Personally I believe in soul mates, amd after the resureccting when the messiah comes, you don't want to see all your three husbands together right? Like which one you gonna choose to be with?

@@rosameijering5161 no Rabbis would tell a woman she shouldn't remarry sorry. Nonsense. And the issue of when Messiah comes is delineated in seforim and a lengthy conversation.

Wonderful message and so many devalue their worth when they give away that special part of themselves before a stronger commitment in my opinion and that is so detrimental to society and I know that is why God designed marriage, He know the beginning and the end, I respect your values, and self respect and self control is so important Amen 🙏 I am a Gentile born again believer in Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah, has changed my life Amen I love the Jewish people and are praying for your Peace by the Yeshua Amen God bless you both and your family Amen 🙏👰🇮🇱💕🇨🇦
