Though I am Ashkenaz, I absolutely _love_ so many of the Sephardic customs and traditions. While both of our traditions are special, it’s just amazing to learn about what makes us all unique. Judaism is definitely _not_ a monolith but is a tapestry of amazing people with varied backgrounds and traditions. 😊
Sara, I truly thank you for helping to share the beauty of Judaism with the world! Everything you do is bringing light into the world and showing them the beauty of HaShem and Judaism!!!! It is my fervent hope that your efforts will help people discover that Jews aren’t the ‘evil’ of the world, and thereby reduce antisemitism.
The world is becoming increasingly antisemitic, which frightens me for my son, and it is my fervent hope that through exposure to Jews through social media (because of wonderful, brave creators like you) that antisemitism will be reduced after people can see we’re people just like them! 😊
TYSM for your creations on UA-cam!

I am a catholic with spiritual interests in Jewish life, having been brought up in a Jewish neighborhood at one point and working with Jewish friends...I have always enjoyed both sets of holidays and incorporate them into my daughter's life to share with her friends, thus multi culture becomes easier for you to share and not judge...your youtube thoughts could not have come at a better time as my daughter and I just sat down to have her son put together Friday's menu...thank you for showing me some more ideas...each time I watch I think of my grandmother who worked with Jewish friends and how specifically she cooked and always brought to her table foods and the settings a special way...she never explained why until I was engaged and inherited their gifts from these friends and then understood her style of cooking and entertaining...thank you again for your content...my one question would be where do you purchase your clothing and head scarves 💚✨️

It’s called Rosh Hashanah: Its Significance, Laws and Prayers and it’s got a lot about how different Jewish communities around the globe celebrate Rosh Hashanah. What I found the most interesting, from a Christian perspective, is the way in which Shabbat and Rosh Hashanah overlap. On the Christian calendar, when holidays overlap with Sunday, then technically one or the other just gets superseded. But that works in part because there's less difference between celebrations like Christmas and regular Sunday observances, so you aren't missing as much (and I'm sure that a lot of Christians aren't aware that there is a substitution, they just assume they're combined.)

    I love New Beginnings 🤍
How could I possibly pick a favorite part?
🤍I will say the sound and meaning behind the blowing of the shofar left me with tears.
🤍Also, your beautiful white dresses to sit at the King's table made me misty as well.
🤍Lea's beautiful table scape and folding of the napkins was lovely. So much talent in her hands and eyes.
Thank you for bringing the beauty and richness of this holiday to us 🕊️🤍

Your daughter did a great job with the table. Learned many things. Not Jewish, but a spiritual Jew. I could listen to you all day. You are so calm. Thank you for sharing your spiritual journey. God Bless.

Joyous and blessed Rosh Hashanah to you and your family! Liturgical Christians will celebrate our new year in November with the First Sunday of Advent to begin lighting the blue candles in the Advent Wreath, one for each week, and a white candle in the center on Christmas Eve. In my family traditions we also have lights on the house to symbolize the light of the Messiah, with a special blue string around the door that we change to multicolored at midnight Christmas Eve. The liturgy used in churches changes and we enjoy a ton of beautiful Advent hymns, as well as Psalms, and other Scripture. The food, the decorations, the crafts, I love it all. I love new beginnings!

Your videos are like a trip to the spa for me! I loved watching Leah prepare the table, and especially the flower napkin. Wow! I’ve never heard the Shofar combination! I agree, it’s very spiritual; such an incredible connection to our ancestors. I just love learning about all the traditions! Wishing you and your family a most blessed Rosh Hosannah!

Irish Catholic Me: as usual I’ve learned, appreciated, drew connections to your terrific post. The customs, brightness of whiteness, celebratory nature, your beautiful home and family - also saying a wee prayer for your neighbors with the majestic albeit loud ram’s horn being blown 100 times (hoping they’re Jewish too!), and the traditional food was fascinating, although you lost me on the fish heads :)

I just wanted to share that I had a wonderful conversation with my 8 years old son.
We were having our pizza Friday, and one of our sons choose a grape juice. During the meal my older son has started telling me a story about the kiddush and Sabbath and grape juice! ...I had my eyes wide open in disbelief. He was learning about Judaism at school! We had a wonderful conversation, I told him a bit more about Jewish traditions (which I've learnt from your channel ❤). We also learnt that the word synagogue comes from an ancient Greek word, and that's when we discussed our visits to some of Jewish historic sites in Poland and Greece. I am now wondering what group of Jews were/are prominent in Greece? Would that be Sephardic?
Have a wonderful week my dear internet friend!

Your videos have helped me - as a working mother it is easy to become complacent about the things in our life that overwhelm us. Remembering that this work is for a joyful purpose helps renew my love for my vocation. God bless you and your family - enjoy your High Holy Days and have a blessed new year!

My ancestors complained about keeping ten little commandments of which they didn't keep!!! So, we the descendants had to pay their debts, but it will get better. I enjoyed watching!!!😊
