Fick utbildning som förare, skytt, vagnchef och mekaniker på PBV302 när jag låg i lumpen. Detta var en riktig nostalgitripp, tack för det! Önskar att det fanns någonstans man kunde köra lite PBV igen. P.S. Om jag minns rätt så är motor och växellåda från Volvo Penta och har suttit i buss, inte lastbil.
Man hade kunnat betalt en slant för att få spaka en Pebba igen 😊
Tror dom motorerna satt både i lastbilar, bussar och båtar.
Det är bara att hänga med ner till Ukraina så får du garanterat köra igen...
Åk till Ukraina och arbeta som mek.
Man blir nästan tårögd när man hör det motorljudet, var skytt på PBV 302A.
Håller med ljudet ger en gåshud.

You cant go wrong with practical demonstration. :) These AFVs from the 60s are now in Ukraine.

Seems like you have to got some time in it to learn how to operate it - brake steering while constantly shifting through high/low to keep it at the correct RPM. Compared with today when you put everything into "D" and just step on it. But what a nice piece of machinery...

Very cool swedish vehicle.
It was developed for the same role as the US M113 APC but the M113, just like the M2 Bradley IFV, didn't meet the performance requirements in winter and cross country mobility set down by the Swedish Defence materiel administration.
This vehicle and in 1990, it's replacement, the Strf 9040 were adopted instead.
@@SonsOfLorgar I got it. M113 and Pansarbandvagn 302 looks similar, so I assume their roles will be similar.Strf 9040 is so different to pbv 302, can it replace pbv 302?

In the description you can see that they will add english subtitles as soon as they can, be patient!
Also, the generation of Swedes these old silver foxes belong to is not used to talking or writing English even half as good as they understand other peoples English.
It wasn't a compulsory second language in school until the mid 1980ies and before that, foreign movies and TV were often dubbed.
@@SuperLaplander We are waiting for over 2 years already for English subtitles for the original two Pansarbandvagn 302 Videos on this channel, so I would lower my hopes on this one :-(.

Hur lång tid tror ni det krävs i veckor för att kunna hantera vagnen? Tänkte på att den ska ju till nya ägare?

Någon annan som minns plågan att ha rent väsnet från leran? Nästan glad att jag sabbade knät och höften så jag bara behövde ha med det o göra en gång innan flytt från 2dra komp till 5te sedan avslutade I 3dje med vinter slutövning.
Jag låg inne som förare i Skövde -93. Nu blir man riktigt sugen på att köra PBV igen.

Do the Swedes still have the Pansarbandvagn 302 in storage and are they still suitable for Ukrainian?
No not in service anymore and been scrapped.
@@KarILssonWell, well.. Time proves you wrong. Not in service in Sweden anymore, retired in 2014. But has been in storage, rather than scrapped. The latest Swedish support package to Ukraine includes donating a number of PBV 302's. The number isn't clear as far as my searches go. Roughly 650 where built, but not all of them remains or can be put into a serviceable state. I would expect the number of vehicles could well be a three-digit number.
@@davebowman6497 the rest of the PBV"s are being donated to Ukraine, about 150 of them. They have been replaced with the CV90 since the mid 90s. So, in effect Sweden gave Ukraine all of the remaining usable 302s to the Ukraine. 3 man crew+a squad of infantry (up to 9 men) Did a tour in Bosnia as gunner, but that was a slightly modified version. reliable, but not as front line vehichle, but to get the crews as close as possible to the "action" and giving support with the 20mm automatic gun.

Anders Back LT instructor on pbv. hey and welcome to Arsenalen this beautiful day. today we be driving some pbv 302 and show a bit how it works. This is not a driving school so you cant come her and learn. Stay with your cars instead. We will be driving around our track here to show you the ropes and how it works in the driving compartment. Then we will end the day at the same spot. bu before we start i want to show you about backwards steering. it is a importen part of the driving experience. if you can´t handle the backwards steering it could go badly for you. We will take a look in the transmission compartment to se whats happening when you get to the backwards steering. Its nothing wrong its the law of physics. come along. the transmission compartment is what were looking at here. the gearbox is what we se here it produce the power to the bevel gear that controls the steering. And what happens here is the reason that backwards steering is happening.( normally its like a wheelchair but going fast and giving one track to neutral steers the pbv the opposite way. )
