God created us as his masterpieces. If you are feeling a lack of ambition and motivation, just remember you are ALIVE for a reason, you really are! You have a purpose here on this earth, you simply smiling to someone walking down the street can change that other persons entire day, and this is a extremely small example and doesn’t even compare to the greater things you can potentially have. God has a lot for you’re life “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. JESUS loves you so much, and you can always talk to him ❤️ he stands at the door of your life and awaits for you to accept him in. You can simply start talking with the Lord at anytime. Here is something you can start off with “ Jesus please help me to have faith and help me with ...”

I completely agree. Really curly hair, especially 4b and 4c hair, wants to be left alone. I keep my hair twisted and achieved bra length hair when I was treating it poorly. My hair routine has greatly improved (a lot of Ayurveda, finger detangling, deep conditioning, moisture in between washing and updo styles) and now my hair is too my butt when stretched.

My hair has gotten thicker, longer and stronger since I've been using the organic black rice water rinse with the essential oils of mint and tea tree plus Jamaican black castor oil! Recently I've added Hollywood Hair bar growth oil daily and it's really increasing my growth even more. My hair grows normally 1/4 inch per month now it's growing a little over 1 inch per month! Doing nothing gives me three inches a year! Growth aids do work!!

Vegetable glycerin mixed with aloe vera juice combined in a spray bottle has been life changing for me. I spray it only once a week because it makes 4c hair extremely soft and too much will make it break off. Other moisturizers don't usually bind to my strands but this seeps in and is very useful when taking braids down because it causes your hair to be soft ie no breakage.

Protective styles for months braiding her own hair and touching up the nape/edges, moisturizing during protective styles and being easier on her hair when taking out the braids; giving hair 1-2 week break before next braiding. Braid as protective style always works. preferably I use extensions to maintain neatness and since I don't have desired length. But so true that the moisturizing during those 2-3 months must be done daily or every other day. I am getting better at not putting extensions on edges of my hair which is a look that I have to get use to and having super long braid to middle of your back which the weight of it does nothing but pull and add tension to the weaker part of your hair. For me that's the edges and the middle of my hair. I don't dare add extensions to those parts. Just use the braids from other parts of my head to cover it up. A lot of work, but decent length in a year.

You've said it all. My hair grows so fast but doesn't retain length. It made me to start disliking my hair to the extent that I wouldn't want to hear people talking about natural hair I felt so frustrated . but it comes to a time when I went to God in prayers and God began to prosper my hair. Honestly products couldn't help me but God can. Now I started liking my hair. I came across Water Only Method and that has been a life changer for me. My hair feels moisturized thicker even though my hair is thin strand.
With God all things are possible.

Check out what porosity hair you are. I am high porosity so I use protein treatments, rice water, henna to strengthen my hair. I don't have any breakage because of this. Also check your iron levels and your thyroid function. All the best

@Lisa T yes I am diabetic on metformin but I am trying to get my A1c under control and that may be an additional issue, but my hair has always been the same since I was a little girl it has never grown pass my neck let alone my shoulders, not sure if its something hereditary or if its just me. I do take multivitamins try everyday to eat healthy eliminated refined sugars and processed foods over a year now, but i know it will take time. Honestly I've never seen my mothers hair long either but my sister hair grows n grows thick n long. She seems to have way different hair texture than me plus she is overweight do not eat healthy and I am the opposite. I have high porosity hair. So I am not sure what the issue could be. Probably a combination of multiple issues. Thank you for the advice I will definitely use and apply to see where else I can improve my lifestyle

I spent 10 years battling with dryness and I spent alot of money especially those from black businesses and my hair kept breaking off and not being healthy. i did the whole kitchen remedies too, 9 years ago my hair HATED aloe vera, now my hair loves it. It just takes time. Also, I never straightened it, only blew dried it once, and I keep my hair in braids 99.999 percent of the time.
I get better results now with under 7 dollar dove or l'oreal products from walmart as opposed to the 18 dollar camille roses main choices and others. Sad.

It's really nice to see someone who had been struggling with hair land everything that you said I can relate to I have had short hair and mom was shorter than yours all of my life I've been natural for over 20 years and so it's good to see this video into know that you really don't have to go out and buy all of these products it's just about consistency and leaving your hair alone and figure out what your hair likes when it comes down to maintaining your hair to be more stir eyes and that is my biggest problem finding out with my hair likes and what it will accept to be moisturized I thank you so much for this video and patience oh my goodness I have none but I have to learn how to have patience 🖤🖤🖤🙋🏾‍♀️🙏🏾🥰😁

Love this. Found myself getting a bit emotional also coz I’ve been struggling and feeling disheartened recently at the little length I’ve retained over the last year and another YTer I just watched mentioned leaving her P styles in for 3 months also and how much it helped her get to waist length. Thank u so much for sharing ❤️

No leaving a product in for 3 months will Destroy your hair and the health of it. I would not recommend that as a beautician.

    • @youtubeaddict5663

Mona Green well the video clearly shows that your recommendation is nonsense. There’s tons of videos on here where natural sisters leave the same styles for 3 months and have long healthy hair!

UA-cam Addict look that’s my opinion as a stylist and most of these youtubers are not telling you the truth about the damage that’s caused most of the time. The matted hair, knots, balding etc. So MS Addict I was just giving some facts about protective styles being in the hair too long. Our black women are bald right now on the sides because of wearing protective styles then they go looking for a miracle oil and products that’s not going to work over night. I spoke what I had to say and it wasn’t anything wrong or negative in it. Now I don’t know if you are struggling or going through something and if so I hope you get to feeling better. If it’s depression God heals, if it’s sickness God heals, if is death God heals. Lord God whatever it is that she need in her life I pray you do it for her. If she needs salvation I pray Lord Jesus that you save her and set her free from the enemy. In Jesus name! Jesus love you

      Mona Green you’re entitled to your opinion but please don’t try and patronise me. My comment was direct and clear;
You’re talking about the health of someone’s hair and the long term damage but the VIDEO contradicts exactly what you’re saying! The REALITY is that we might all originate from Africa but we are not all the same - there is no hard and fast rule. The girl in the video has successfully been able to grow her hair and it’s clearly healthy so boy....

Solid advice and totally agree. My daughter has 4C hair (you are hair twins). With a consistent regimen, and know what products, oils and DIYs work best for her, I have retained at least 8inches over the past two years. Pictures to follow, if I can add them.
A new staple is your famous Leave-in Butter. Love it, so does her hair.
