What you outlined was my exact plan for how I was gonna build my army. I had already bought a Canis Rex and a box of Armigers ( I'm originally a Grey Knight Player and was looking to experiment as allies ). While I was bummed that the box set would be limited to the errant/pally, I had already planned to magnetize so its honestly a win-win for me. I'm glad my line of thought is correct! Great video and love the directness of it!
when I was a young Mek, my great uncle lived with my great grandparents. I listened to his storys of being a dough boy, I still here some of the stuff he had. I will always hold them dear. now... I would love to loot that box for my orks... but I dont have that kind of teeth. great info tho.. thanks!!
Buying another Questoris kit and magnetizing both sounds like a good way to get the most out of this set. I just hope i can keeps the grots from looting all my bits when i look away.
@@dittmar104 That is true. Arguably though, you could always get one second hand, Create a "greenstuff mold", or 3D print if really necessary. Besides, we all know how this plastic crack works. Once you get a taste of the army, you'll want them all. LOL Case in Point: My local game store got a "Used" Cerastus Knight Castigator that someone traded in/sold to them. Its actually New, never been opened. Apparently dude won it in a raffle. I was able to scoop it up today for $115! My next Knight is going to be the Castellan :)
I got an Ordo Hereticus box and just put in my order for a Sisters and Knights Battleforce. Next month, I'll be getting the Sisters and Agents Combat Patrols. This should give me a lot of options for building armies across 3 factions. When the new Kriegers come out, and the Brutal Cunning set, I'll have a crazy variety of Imperial units, hehe. They will look great on the shelves, opposing 6k of Orks, and 3k of Word Bearers.
I got Agents of the Imperium army already so I might grab this one. The last knight box was 2 years ago I think. Also I heard rumors that this box might get more weapon options for the armiger but no idea if it is true or not but that would compensate the lack of big knight options.
The Tenth ed of imperial Knight codex doesn't come out until next Year after Astro Mil and aeldari (so early spring maybe). So points and stats are and will be availible on the warhammer app for the next four months. The problem with this set is it doesn't look like it comes with either top mounted weapon systems we get for free (point wise).
I’m glad there’s no new Ork annoucements for the holidays. My wallet has been stretching for some time now, since I have been backing a number of kickstarters lately. Those are kinda like delayed christmas. Haha
This might be a crazy hot take, but despite the missing spruces... i still think this is the 2nd best 40K Battleforce only behind the Dark Angels. Yes it lost lots of value and it's a 30 USD increase from the 2022 version, it's still a solid box set for a newcomer still interested in the knights and it's better than having to buy the 2022 version from scalpers. Plus, you can buy it to make a chaos knight army still and you will still get a 1000 point army.
I wonder what the true motive is for removing those sprues. Corpo greed being the obvious but even then the price increase would coincide with the previous box if the contents were the same. Iv always felt GW at some point is going to split the knight variants up, similar to what they've done with the new plastic HH knights. In the future they could have 3 to 4 different knight boxes, that may build only 1 or 2 variants each and one box just being the Canis Rex
@@foreverfornever1124 I suspect this is the real answer. GW has been doing this with most kits that have this many options. They think users are confused if there's more than 2 build options.
@DaRedWunzGoFasta lol, I guess. I mean, if we look at Space Marines. Every weapon has been singled down to a squad like infernus marine or hellblaster squads. Whereas tactical squads and devastator squads were the norm with mixed loadouts and room for lots of diversity and magnetization. It really worries me that GW will continue this trend to remove the ability for magnetization to save money

The issue is you’ll still be down a rocket pod

I'd definitely like to get myself some boxsets of minis for Christmas!

@@Wrecktapus nice! You'll definitely want to see tomorrow's video...
The Battleforce boxes were 240 each, btw. Saddly, no discounts in my area, just taxes.
@Wrecktapus yeah that's an oof
You can buy the boxes from the 20% retailers so you still keep the value
@@Hodgymbob bingo! That's the absolute smart buy.
I'm getting it, it will get me up to 1500pts of knights. I just want another hobby project tbh, but the knights make great allied units too.
I got the imperial knights one last year. This will get me to 2k.
Bro I'm so jelly. I've searched for last year's box and there are some that sell for $400-$700 on ebay. Straight Robbery! lol

I saw a preorder list from a buddy who runs a store and it says 240

Even if I wanted to spend the money, I doubt the scalpers will let this one get away.
