What they don't tell you is that you have to grind BP in order to get the Starters to spawn in their respective Biomes. Each Biome requires 3,000 BP apiece, but it's not a complete chore since the BBQs are rather simple...Either way, HAVE FUN, TRAINERS!
Simple but tedious, especially by yourself.
Good thing I had them all from previous generations lol I wasn't about to do that.
It's fun, but I see how people might not like it if they don't have NSO or friends who can coordinate to meet up in-person.
@saucymongoose7246 yeah I don't really hop online much, so when I saw that, I said screw it and fired up a bunch of my older games to transfer the starters over.
@@saucymongoose7246 Not as much as you think. I should know, considering I had to figure out on my own that I needed to work for my Starters.
As to which ones I used? Aside from the Charizard, Empoleon, and Greninja I already had, I went with Typhlosion, Blaziken, Infernape, Pignite, Delphox, Incineroar, Cinderace, Venusaur, Bayleef, Sceptile, Torterra, Serperior, Rowlet, Blastoise, Feraligatr, Swampert, and Oshawott.
You know, I wish the game looked as good as the trailers. Stable frame rates would be nice.

@@dnmstarsi You can shiny hunt them very easily, all of the starters appear on zones where their type is unique, you can make a shiny sandwich for each type and you are almost guaranteed than in less than 30 minutes you'll get a starter shiny, unless you are hunting for specifics, like myself, I wanted a shiny female Popplio, that took a little longer.

Besides, it's probably easier to just give people the timed event of easier Shiny Starter hunting (along with easier ways to get BB points if you can't get a group to do quests) than to get a Shiny Charm and build Sandwiches. LOL

Bro, the entire DLC is set in Unova with the Black and White battle themes, sweeping Unova area medleys in every biome, references everywhere from Drayton to Chargestone Cavern, the secret boss using all the Unova starters, and the Monochromatic Room design for the BB club room having everything from a miniature Nimbasa Ferris Wheel and Skyarrow Bridge artwork to the Castelia City theme literally being in the jukebox. Johto is nothing but copium right now.

No, just give it up already. Scarlet and Violet released the Epilogue of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero on January 11th, 2024 that means they're done D-O-N-E done with Scarlet and Violet now.

I’m hoping Nintendo’s internal direction for these games were to focus on Pokémon models and now the next generation they will focus on terrain, not ideal but we could finally end up with a good looking Pokémon game that was arguably developed through two games

Yes, when you base the marketing of your DLC on the fact you can get all starters without even mentioning the need to unlock them first, it's a problem.
The big reveal in Smash Ultimate for "everyone is here" made sure to take note of the need to unlock any fighter outside of the original 8. Transparency never hurts.

For them to be advertised in their own trailer, yet have a 3000 BP pay wall for each biome, it is a problem, an even bigger one when (spoiler warning) the elite 4 and Kieran all have 1 starter, if you didn’t get the starter addition to the biomes, it makes you wonder if the pay wall was last minute
Look at all these Pokémon you've removed only to sell them back later!
They're in a free update, you can just trade them.
Provided someone else has bought the DLC and caught the Pokémon.

I'm not a survival/crafting guy, but I'm glad that game is taking off. Might give The Pokémon Company more incentive to have more studios working on more different kinds of spinoff games so that the mainline games can have the development time to be... you know, finished products that run at a stable frame rate.
Each BBQ takes you a minimum of 2 minutes
average 20 pts each, with 200 for a red quest
so minimum of 20+ mins for 400 pts
so around 10 hours to get all the points you need to get all starters

Why did we have to download a 4 GB update just for it to not fix anything?

They needed 3 of those gigs to fix the item duplication glitch DU!

@@Slenderquil Culling and Memory Leak glitches are still not patched out so you can get the E4 2 second Loop music still.
I honestly loved seeing some of these guys in the wild for the first time, just doing their thing. Swimming Squirtle was actually emotional...

@@CinnaBox the game still runs at 12 fps on a very regular basis. It makes Star Fox on SNES look like it has a great frame rate.
If you’re tolerant of a garbage game, good for you. I am not. I got this using the vouchers as something to play while I waited for Tears of the Kingdom to come out. I had not played Pokémon since Red/Blue on GameBoy (unless you count Go).
I was expecting something that at the least had a decent frame rate and didn’t randomly shut down and restart losing work done in the game. If I could I would get a refund cause I don’t even play this garbage anymore.

I wonder how the sales for the DLC are with all of the many UA-cam community posts they've been doing. Zelda TOTK quickly put out many patches to prevent glitches that were hard to encounter and even desired by players. The Pokemon Company shows immediacy in investigating copyright infringement with that Pal World game or whatever it's called while people criticized TPC for using fan altered music in a trailer.

It's not about realism, it's about gameplay. It is just awful that the pokemon that is supposed to follow you just keeps popping in and out of reality. It isn't even realistic because Regieleki is so slow despite being the fastest pokemon alive. The Lets Gos didn't have this problem, SwSh started this thing by copypasting the Camp speed stats which were only usable in Camp without breaking the game.

Hiding the starters behind grindy missions arent a big deal since it also adds to the requirements to unlock the (shiny locked) legendary static encounters.
I just wish the ability to walk around as your pokemon included attacking pokken style instead of the autobattle

I like how they added more content to the game, instead of fixing an polishing what they already had, like the bas framerate, the graphical glitches, the missing collision, and fake buildings in the towns.
I enjoy the open world, connecting with friends for raids, shiny hunting, tournaments and the mini games.

They are, and there's nothing that can be done about it.

what they dont tell u is the hrs of grinding to upgrad the terrarium to get them
does the game run at more than 11 fps at 360p yet...
To get the starters you have to get 12000 BBQ points by grinding the bbq quest for about 10+ hours so you can upgrade all the biomes which is 3000 each, then they are a rare spawn which you’re only going to find one or two them unless you get lucky with an outbreak or make a specific sandwich to make more spawn and even THEN they’re all starting at lvl 55 so good luck using or even catching any of them for you main Journey through paldea
It is the reason I did not complete the second DLC. You have to battle a level 70 trainer to get into that part of the game and then you just see the same small number of pokemon walking around. If pokemon was just present without unlocking them and the starting level was lower I might have continued.
Love this game. 'Pokemon Vomit Visuals' & 'Pokemon Frantic Framerates' are among my most fravorite mainline entries in the entire franchise history.

Instead of all this dlc I wish they would have taken the time to fix this games rendering and graphical issues as well as the frame rate drops. Give the game the polish it should have had to begin with.

You can also get the Starter Pokémon by Wonder trading, or trading with other Players who have them. Ypu don't need the DLC to get these Pokémon or any othe Pokémon from the DLC.
I thought the registration was locked behind a paywall? Example, i have all the starters from pokemon home from my DS games, but I can't take them to in Scarlett or violet without paying for a dlc

Since the best parts of both those games is the story, I'm hoping the next game will have something truly amazing, not just for Pokémon games but for games in general. I love the stories in SV and PLA (even if the PLA story is basically just Mystery Dungeon but with humans) so very very much.
