One of the primary reasons touring riders swear by saddlebags is their unparalleled storage capacity. Unlike traditional backpacks or tank bags, saddlebags offer ample space to store essentials such as clothing, camping gear, tools, and even spare parts. This capacity ensures riders can carry everything they need for extended trips without compromising on comfort or safety.
When touring long distances, maintaining optimal balance and handling is crucial for safety and comfort. Saddlebags, when properly loaded and positioned, distribute weight evenly on either side of the motorcycle.
High-quality saddlebags are designed to withstand such elements, featuring weather-resistant materials and secure closures that keep belongings dry and protected. This weather resistance is essential for preserving gear integrity and ensuring a hassle-free journey regardless of the forecast.
Saddlebags offer multiple compartments and pockets, allowing riders to categorize and access items efficiently. Whether it's quickly grabbing a water bottle, accessing a map, or retrieving a tool kit, well-designed saddlebags ensure everything is within reach without the need to dismount or unpack extensively.
Beyond storage and convenience, saddlebags contribute to rider safety in several ways. They can serve as protective barriers, shielding the motorcycle's body in the event of a fall or collision.
Saddlebags are more than just accessories for touring riders; they are indispensable companions that enhance every aspect of the journey. From providing ample storage and maintaining balance to ensuring weather resistance and enhancing safety, saddlebags play a pivotal role in optimizing the touring experience.
By understanding their importance, I have purchased this pair of saddlebags from Delhi based shop owner named Vishal Bags Fabricator.

    Hello sir namaste
    You make good informative videos
    Thanks
    I have one doubt
    Please clarify
I have came to know about Lamination on bikes to protect from scratches and preventing paint from spoiling
This lamination can be replaced with new one on the basis of quality of lamination i.e it will last one year, two year or so on.
My question is, is it good thing to do
Coz bike paint and scratches are the biggest concern for bikers.
Is it a good precautionary thing
We can change it yearly just for precaution that it doesn't damage the pain n all as per recommendations
So what we should opt for bike safety
    Is it good or not
    Thank you

Yes, its true that PPF protects the paint from scratches. But there are two types of ppf. One is TPH, another is TPU. An ordinary person cannot distinguish between them.
TPH is cost friendly, thick, less elastic and has short life span. You can easily poke hole in TPH by a ball pen.
Whereas TPU is costlier, thin, more elastic, has more life span of > than 5 yrs and its said to be self healing, means scratches vanished automatically. You can not poke hole in TPU easily.
No one can recognize whether its TPH or TPU once its wrapped on the car or bike. Ball pen test has to be done before that.
TPU is around 70-80% costlier than TPH. Hence TPU ppf for car costs approx 80K to 100K. When I enquired cost of TPU for Honda Hness with an Indore based workshop, they said 15K.
Now If you go for cheap film, it will cost around 5K for bike. But Its quality gets degraded within a couple of years and there is also a risk of paint repeal at the time of film removal.
You can also spend 15K for TPU film which will last 5 yrs, if you are sure about its genuineness. But think for a moment, is it worth spending 15K for a plastic film which last only 5 yrs? You have to decide.
If you ask my opinion, am not in Favour of ppf. Instead, I will take good care of my paint with polish and other stuff like ceramic coating. And the day I find my bike's colour has been degraded, I will go for repaint with best metalic colour of my choice which will cost 8-10K. Bcoz I will never sell Honda Hness for exchange of any new bike, so I'm not worried about resell price.
If you are expecting good resell value of your bike, then you may go for a good quality PPF.
      All the Best Bro !!

      @@rideForFun66 thanks a lot
Exactly the type of answer expected from you
I was doubtful on this stuff about bike care, like what's best but not anymore
I keep things with me forever, so no question about resell value
The other options and things you pointed for bike care are the type of actual stuff which I was hoping (coz that's what is actually more permanent rather than plastic covers n I like things which gives feel of permanency)
      Thanks a lot man❤️
      U r doing great job 👍

Sir can you please share your suggestions on PPF & Ceramic coating pros & cons ?
Also please make a video on all the accessories from your experience with tips/suggestions

Braj Kiran Ji, there are two types of PPF: TPH and TPU. It's difficult for an average person to distinguish between them. TPH is less expensive, thicker, less elastic, and has a shorter lifespan. On the other hand, TPU is 70-80% more expensive than TPH, thinner, more elastic, lasts over 5 years, and is claimed to be self-healing. Once applied to a car or bike, the quality of PPF cannot be ascertained. The cost for TPU PPF for a car is roughly between 80K to 1 Lac. When I inquired about the price for a Honda H'ness at an Indore-based workshop, they quoted 15K. Opting for a cheaper film might cost about 5K for a bike, but its quality may degrade within 1-2 years, and there's a risk of damaging the paint upon film removal. If you're confident about the quality, you might consider spending 15K for TPU. However, consider whether it's worth investing 15K in a plastic film that only lasts 5 years. I don't advice for PPF. Instead, I prefer to maintain my paint with high-quality polish and eventually repaint the bike with the best metallic color of my choice, which will cost approx 8-10K. Regarding ceramic coatings: they provide a glossy finish, protect the paint from oxidation and fading, make cleaning easier, and reduce water spots. High-quality ceramic coatings can range from 2.5K to 10K for bikes and 15K to 35K for cars. If applied improperly, they can lead to unevenness, streaks, or other aesthetic issues. PPF offers scratch protection, which ceramic coatings do not. In summary, both PPF and ceramic coatings can be good options for maintaining your bike or car's appearance, but it's crucial to consider the costs and ongoing maintenance they require. I hope this information meets your needs. Wishing you the very best.
