I read hundreds of issues a month from the app, so it is EASILY worth it for $10 a month. I can't afford to buy new books, and three months after the release is not bad at all.
Yep I totally agree with using Marvel Unlimited with physical books. Sometimes when omnis or trades don’t include crossover issues I go to the app and read the full in issues
Marvel’s an odd one. The service is solid, but I’ve spent years trying to get them to add a basic setting to remove page slide animations to allow people with vestibular disorders to use the app. Initially, there was interest. But last time I wrote, I got a weirdly hostile response. (Comixology, by contrast, added such a feature pretty quickly-although that’s gone now it’s using the Kindle engine. 2000 AD added one and kept it though.)
Well worth it for someone getting into comics, I’ve been using on and off since 2021. Now deep into 2023 and I’ve had a permanent subscription since the start of the year.
One thing that could be an amazing connection between digital and physical is when you're looking up an issue there'd be a link to a store where you could buy a physical collected edition.
Considering buying this. My work has changed to the afternoon shift where I will mostly be sitting around waiting for incoming calls, so there's a lot of free time but I'm not allowed to play music or videos. Marvel Comics could be the right answer. I think I will wait until Thor: Love And Thunder comes out and see if they do a discount price.
I’ve found it really worth it. I originally got it because I have a puppy that like to sprint full speed and dive on you surprisingly and let’s just say puppy’s and comics don’t mix! Since then though I’ve moved away from single issues and trades and more focused on OHC and Omni’s and to be able to try series out before I buy, fill those gaps in runs where one hardcover might be out of print, and comfortably read a series where I might not want to hold a giant omni the whole time has made it a keep for me. Still prefer the real thing but it has its place and having access to that many series means there’s always something to read… not that that’s much of an issue with my current to read pile.
Oh yeah it’s definitely worth it Paying 64 or 68 yearly for what your getting? Basically an entire library of comics and series Just subscribed a couple of months ago and very satisfied
Yeah, it’s far from perfect but if you want to read older issues from your fav heroes it’s a pretty good for that. I’ve been slowly but surely rereading Amazing Spider-man.
Marvel MAX series (including Miracleman) are not available due to the adult content which would make the app 17+ in the Apple Store. That’s the only reason.
It's 100% worth it and I have both this and DC universe infinite and I prefer Marvel unlimited I have a bit of quality issues with DC universe and with DC universe you have to wait 6 months for next issues in a series but with Marvel unlimited you only have to wait 3 months for the next issue. But I am not sure if marvel unlimited lets you do this but DC lets you create your own reading order for anything so I went and created a reading order of all of the teen titans as it's a series I have wanted to read more of and I think DC has a much better filter system than marvel
I use Marvel Unlimited to keep up with all of the “new” issues coming out and to try out a series I’m on the fence about buying a collected edition for. I agree that you need a tablet to really enjoy it. I think it is worth the money 100%.
Woof woof I had this app for a while now and enjoy it all so will you be able to make a video of the offer app like dc infinite to see if that is worth it and keep up the good work woof woof
Hey Alex! I plan to for sure :) might take a bit of time though, I like to get a good amount of time with the subscription to see if it's worth it for the long run :) Hope you like what I've got planned in the meantime! WOOF WOOF!
Thank you for this review. My biggest problem is that they do such a horrible job of showing what’s available to read before signing up. If there’s a trade paperback I’d like to read before owning, I’d sign up for one month and then quit. Currently, there’s no way for me to know if the comics are actually part of the service, which is dumb.
Have the app and it’s great! Super accessible to stories I’ve wanted to read for a long time but also have the same issues you have when it comes to reading event stories and trying to find MAX series on there. I couldn’t find miricle man on the app, wanted to read before I decided to purchase the omnibus. But over all I love the app it has caught me up with everything and I’m not bored in the break room at work lol.
Been redeeming physical comics on "Marvel Comics" app and now shutting down, anybody know how to transfer your downloaded books from MC app to Marvel Unlimited? Keep running into trouble
so does this have all of the old marvel comics because I just started to read marvel comics and instead of buying the physical copies i wanna know if I could read them on here like What if, Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity war, Secret wars, House of M, and Civil War????????????
Thank you so much for this video, this is actually the video that i wanted so bad bc i am a beginner comic book reader and i couldnt find what you get if you actually subscribed to this service.
Worth every cent. More than you could ever read in a life time. But there are certain parts of the app which are a byatch. I have 100 titles in my Continue Reading list, many of which I finished the runs of months ago. And some of which were not for me but will remain in my Continue Reading list until the end of time. HELP
So I [and I am aware this is a bit odd] only read digital but buy physical... so I am new to comics properly this year and current I am working through Jason Aarons Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man and the 2007 NOVA run. I buy the TPB's that I need to collect the physical but then read them using Marvel Unlimited on my IPad pro. I just find being able to read them lights off in bed without worrying about damaging the books or having a light on is so much easier but I don't want to miss out on the collecting/physically owning side of things.
If you're a Marvelite(that's what I call hardcore Marvel fans) and if you've a spare time and a plenty of bucks in your pocket then give it a try. It's worth every penny 👍
He may be small, but he’s one of the toughest members of the Guardians of the Galaxy! Read Groot’s solo adventure in 'I AM GROOT'. Start your free trial of Marvel Unlimited now and read free for 7 days. Cancel anytime so yeah event is here
Excited the videos finally here. As you know been on the fence for a while( apart from the odd Kindle purchase), you can't beat that new book smell. While not immediately, with everything going up in price it'll def a option sooner than later. Plus getting the app will expand the number of titles I read which is only a good thing. Although you'll have to pry a book out of my cold hands before I go fully digital. I like to know I actually own something and that's why I've not yet took the leap. But you are right the machines will overthrow us all one day, TBF I'd probably get on with them better than most people ha ha.😋 Woof Woof
Marvel Unlimited got screwed by the redesigned layout. It used to be really easy to find gems because there was the ability to see the entire catalog by title only for easy scrolling which allowed you to find lesser known series. For some fucking reason, they axed that.
lol I got a discount for the $99 membership for $70. I am both a Marvel and Star Wars fan. I am reading the Star Wars: Legacy series which was released back in 2006 which I missed. It's a very good story arch and if I were to buy physical copies to read it I would have to spend $300-$500 for the entire series. I still collect physical comic books but not for reading.
I don’t like how the trending titles are always something that has to do with the new movies or shows coming out. I don’t like it. Sure maybe more people are flocking to those stories bc of the new movies and shows but it doesn’t help me find good stories that I wouldn’t be able to find without the trending section. it bothers me but I also understand it so damn it 😂
It’s definitely worth the $10 a month but it’s upsetting how shitty the app runs on pc . Why get rid of the library button ? The app runs a lot smoother on my phone but it’s too small for me to read 🤦♂️so I’m stuck dealing with the pc version for now at least until I grab a tablet .

Not only would I say it’s “worth it”, but I’d say it’s one of the most essential apps in existence.

How much did they pay you to say that?

That's really interesting, there's really no reason why you shouldn't be able to turn that off

Think they should add a custom reading list maker which would fix a lot of the event mapping issues if you can just make one yourself
best place for my star wars comics. pretty much the home screen for my tablet for the last 2 years.

Do you by any chance need the codes that come with ''zero war'' comics? Those codes are for a game called fortnite.

I just miss the old dc universe app. Now I have to buy HBO and dc universe and Disney plus and marvel unlimited

Yes all there , and they do have read order sections
Do you know what kind of books they have as of X-Men, the X-men are my favorite part of marvel and I would be subscribing to marvel unlimited for it.

Sounds a lot like the Shonen Jump which I've positive experiences with, maybe I'll try it

An issue verse navigation is so needed . Watcher please take notice
Does it have any avengers vs xmen or superior Spiderman
