What do you think of Chris's setup? I love it and will be looking at the Ramp Rack for another truck! If you are in the Denver Metro Area, send us a DM on Instagram so we can spotlight you and invite you to Lawn Care Accelerator! instagram.com/lawncareninja/
I want a ramp rack for my truck really bad. I use a little 32 stander zero turn and a pushmower set up and hauling around a trailer in the chicago burbs is a pain in the butt cause of how tight street parking can be. sometimes I get stuck parking a block or two from a house I need to mow, so the ramp rack would make my life so much easier. That and i've never seen a single rival company use one either, so i think it would be an eye catcher too.
@@pepsilove6306 Sounds like a good setup you have there... But also, the Ramp Rack would make your life SO much easier! Adding up all the time you could save using it and parking in front of the house instead of parking so far away would be a lot over the course of a season. I agree about sticking out. I have only seen 3 with Chris's being the third one. I better get on the ball before they are everywhere! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great set up! I also ditched my small trailer for similar reasons including the small parking spaces in some neighborhoods. This Ramp is the next step in my Company's evolution. Welcome to the Business from one Lawntrepenuer to another!
Nice set up. I actually just ordered my ramp rack sport today. I'm excited to ditch my trailer! P.s. that lawn was tiny! nice little money maker though.
I don't blame you! The way Chris rocked the Ramp Rack Sport impresses me and it is going to be a purchase for me when I get truck #2. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@LawnCareNinja I don’t have the ramp rack I have a mow and go systems ramp it’s very similar to the ramp rack sport. I’ve had it since 2019 and I love it.
I’m in the lawn care business solo preneur in CA. It takes minimum an hour or two if you are doing a front and backyard. Most of our yards are 30 feet deep by 25feet then a back yard is usually half that size. We charge minimum $50 and go up from there for biweekly service. HOA min. $300 and some apartment buildings $300 monthly depending on services rendered.
An hour or 2 to do less than 1,200 sq ft? I do 2K-4K sq ft in about 20-30 minutes including trimming and blowing off all areas. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Looking at the specs, the Sport version supports 800lbs on the ramp. They have others that supports up to 2000lbs. It may not be good for stand on mowers, but most walk behinds 48" and less it should be a great option. Thanks for watching and commenting
Thanks! I've wondered what a setup might look like for debris/leaf removals. My only thought was to just pile it all up in tarps and try and fit as much as you could. I wonder if there is a lot of talk about being able to add a trailer, they will come up with an option to add one. Seems like it is easy enough to remove and hook up your trailer if you need it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@LawnCareNinja it seems more targeted for mow n go set ups only but I’m sure in a long bed configuration it’s more of like a trailer for extra brush hauling
@@Budgetfishing530 That is exactly who it is designed for. It's easy enough to take off and transition into leaves/debris. However, just put some walls up and load your truck bed with tarps and I would think you could leave it on
You cannot with the Ramp Rack Sport as I believe it only supports 48" machine width and even then, I think it would be a tight fit. I think you might be able to with the regular Ramp Rack as the width for it says 66" so the limiting factor would be the width of your truck bed. Thanks for watching and commenting! theramprack.com/products/
I do not take clippings with me. Not sure about Chris. We usually don't have lots of clippings left over since we are such a dry climate. Any clumps I come across, I use my Echo 9010 to disperse across the lawn. Thanks for watching and commenting!
If you have the yards and gates to support the TurfMaster, get it! That extra length of cutting is sooo much better. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@LawnCareNinja nah apparently I just have more experience than you that’s all. The head spins counterclockwise which means you wanna trim right to left so all the clippings go toward the un mowed grass. That way when you mow the grass there’s no dead grass clippings just sitting on the edges of the lawn. Ain’t about me thinking I’m better I just do it the right way
I would never leave a credit card on file with landscaper.Over the years they tend to greatly raise prices without telling you. This is lawn mowing not brain surgery and there are many landscapers who can easily be replaced.
Are you saying lawn care operators are landscapers? I would never have a customer not leave a credit card on file. This is a business, and everyone leaves their card details with every other company on the planet. If your lawn care company isn't being up front with their rate adjustments from year to year, yeah, they may be hiding something. There's millions of square feet of turf area and any customer can be replaced with one that respects your business policies and will gladly leave a card on file. If you are one of those customers that won't add a card on file, sure, hire the kid down the block who doesn't have insurance for when a rock goes through your window or the Chuck in a truck that only takes cash and won't pay his taxes and will be out of business before you know it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Ever heard of Lawnstarter? You have to have a card on file with them otherwise you can't receive service. They're a multimillion dollar company. If you don't trust me enough to keep a card on file, why trust me to go to your house to do a service. Plus you're the one who called me and can read all my good reviews and have all my business information. People just suck lol
What are your rates and what part of the country? I've been trying to get everyone I know to up their rates since it is so expensive to live here in Denver. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Our minimum here in Baton Rouge, La is $48 and we 100% do not do bi-weekly routes. Any other schedule other than a weekly schedule will sink your business before you ever even get started!
@@chevyv.2281 Dang! That's an impressive minimum! My minimum this year is $40 (last year $36). There's no way I could get away with $48 for lawns under 1500-2000 sq ft. I hate bi-weekly also, though I have a couple in the hot months because the grass barely grows, and those I charge a 50% premium. Thanks for watching and commenting!

He’s trimming the wrong way. Always trim right to left so the clippings fling back toward yourself (fling back toward the un mowed grass)
nah, you're trimming the wrong way. Kidding, but this is just how I like to do it. If I get too much clippings in the rock areas I'll blow them out.
