There is alot of you UA-camRS going trailerless but this is my first watching it being installed. Love Your Content and Everything You Share with us Fill...Looks like that white stuff is still around outside...Stay Safe God Bless...Get you a locking trailer hitch so no one is tempted to still your "ramp rack" ...Great Set-up!!!!!
Great video. EXmark indicates on their site that 36 e series weighs in at 779 lbs. With your weight + mower--guessing total ramp load of 960-980 lbs. Have you had any problems since Ramp Rack indicates maximum load of 800 lbs for Sport model?
i ran the sport model last season for like a month 2 of my 4 mow days before i got my dump insert installed just as an experiment. my ferris Z1 weighed just over 800lbs and what had happened was the weight of the machine would bend those long rods the gates pivot on. my advice would be monitor the hinges especially if the staris is going up and down 60 times a days
Gotta see if it will work for a 08 Duramax w a 8’ bed . Great content and yeppers to power tools to speed up where my rheumatoid arthritis slows me down , especially in the winter . I saw someone mowing a commercial property and they had this set up . Gonna be a game changer for sure , especially for a solo to 2 to 3 man crews .
If those square tubes you plan to cut off are two inch, I’d cap them with those LED brake lights that fit in a two inch hitch receiver. Not sure if the ramp or equipment is blocking the Ram third brake light, but don’t miss an opportunity to get a brake or caution light right in other drivers eye level. Either brake lights or yellow flashers since you’ll be parked curbside with the ramp extended a lot. The bumper pad elevator bolts stop the rack rocking in the receiver under mower weight. I always hated how bike racks would rock left and right in the receiver, even with a tight bolt instead of a hitch pin.
Love this set-up. I had to go with the mow-n-go system (which is fantastic, btw) since the weight limit to the ramp rack sport is only 800 lbs. Was worried my Ferris Z1 would damage it eventually.
@@EKLAWNCARE It was like $2,500.00 but because I had him do the painting and also added the swing arm for the trimmer / edger. Without all that is about $1,800.00. When I spoke to owner, he said the weight limit is over 1,000 lbs without issues - more than enough to safely handle large zero turn with an operator on it.
You made that look so easy. I know it wasn't. I'm with the other lady...no pickup truck or lawn care company but! If I had a pickup, I could see where that ramp would come in super handy. I've been thinking about getting a pickup for quite some time. Maybe.....
Just installed mine 2024 Sierra the quality of the ramp is great the bolts on the other hand aren’t I had 4 break the screw just snapped clean when tightening them not that hard either
@@fillslawncareplus you could maybe cut down a 4x4 block of wood, paint it black to match the truck and put it under the the bumper stop, right on top of the bumper to take up that space.
Do you have another vehicle ? Do you do any light landscaping ? What is wrong with a trailor, single axle trailor is light easy to pull. You did good job outfitting that truck.
Trailers are so much simpler and so much more room and able to keep everything inclosed 24/7. Only way i see this being useful is if you have no where to store a trailer over night or the winter
I saw another UA-camr talking about how they had to get commercial insurance on their truck after adding one of those ramp racks. Did you have to? I think they said state farm wouldn't cover the vehicle if they found out.
Before you install any bed extender on your truck you better talk to your insurance agent. Several lawnscapers report this "alters the vehicle" which negated the liability insurance. Better to know BEFORE you get in a wreck. Yes this means you.
So I watched the entire video. I do not have a truck. I do not have a lawn care business but for some reason I watched the entire video. Makes zero sense
I know you probably did it but just didn’t include it in the video but I hope you tightened the 4 carriage bolts on the dove tail that they told you to keep loose at first! Also interested to hear from you how well it’s stays in place while driving without the bumper supports? I have mine on since they fit but just curious
Good informational video! Are you going trailerless this whole season or just a few days of the week or so? Also, what made you decide to go trailerless?
@@fillslawncareplus very cool! I’m excited to get this year started too! I’m a 17 year old solo operator too. Just started a few years ago so don’t have all the shiny equipment quite yet but getting there! 😉
I like the enclosed trailer better, you never have to unload or load and also enclosed trailer is like a billboard sign on the road and ofcorse the garage is free of all that landscaping shit. But I guess this is better if you cant haul a trailer in tight city or just because if some people cant haul a trailer.
I think the other benefit of the trailer is, if he has to park his truck out side at night, his equipment is likely to get stolen. The trailer you wouldnt have to unload at the end of each day.
Great job Fill on the ramp & rack set up. My question is this? will your riding mower and equipment rack loaded on your truck have enough clearance to allow you to park your truck in the garage without contacting the door or house trim? How much extra clearance do you have with your stock suspension if i may ask?
So all these components are of theirs? The side rails and equipment mounts? Their website sorta sucks as far as actual pics. They show one pic of each avail part and that’s all. I checked the site out but idk how important it is without a trailer but this setup to fully equip a truck is very expensive. Thinking about it starting a business.
Yeah, you can definitely find a cheaper trailer to start out with, but overtime you'll still want to buy racks and a nicer one. Good trailers around here go for 4-5 now. This setup is around 4
Looks good fill. I think more lawn care people will be doing more of this than dragging a trailer around. The side rails are probably that long for guys with the 8 ft. Box on there truck. Some ford f 150 have a 6 1/2 ft box also.See blades of grass down south has done the same thing with his Ram. He has a setup like yours from another company.
@@fillslawncareplus I hear that, brother, I'm more or less there now lining up mulch jobs, and mowing is coming fast. I'm already doing a few first mows. Take care of business and be safe 👊
I would be careful. You are probably over payload with you in the truck. If you were to get into an accident or stopped by state patrol you could be in trouble especially since you are a business.
@Fill's Lawn Care Plus You are at 1600-1700lbs with everything you carry plus you in the truck. That would be more then the payload for that truck. Don't go by the max numbers or what a car salesman told you. You should get it on a scale and compare to your gvwr.

If you wanted to use the bumper stop you could use some barrel nuts and all thread rod to extend them
Just installed mine. I followed your video (and instructions) step by step. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
That was a very thorough and interesting video. You did a great job and the rack looks awesome.
Thank you kindly!
I love it that you show mistakes. That is such a great way to learn.
Nice video very informative! And if I didn't run larger mowers I would totally get the ramp rack !!
Congratulations. You have the patience of a saint! I'd of had to pay someone to do what you've done.
I appreciate that!
The cat your supervisor ! Inspector cat is back " well done "
Planning ahead having the correct equipment.
Work easier not harder 😊
Take care.
Very true!

Does it matter much that the rating for the sport ramp is 800lb? I’d rather get this over the heavy duty but my mower is like 850lb.
Probably ordering mine this week, so perfect time to get this video suggested. Thanks UA-cam 😊
Hope you enjoy it!

The Mow-n-Go Ramp Rack system has the receiver hitch open, in order to use an extension when pulling a trailer is required.
That really looks good! Good luck this year
Thanks Dave!
I pretty sure you can get extended receivers we had one when we had a truck camper
Your going to like not having to pull a trailer. Looks good Fill congratulations. 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
That’s a legit setup! Really cool
I wonder if you need to get some longer bumper stop bolt things so it doesnt twist back and forth?
Yeah, I'll have to rig up my own. I'll head down to the hardware store today

I have seen another UA-camr tow with the ramp rack installed. Granted he did it around the yard to just see if it would work.

yes
Where do you place grass clippings, leaves and debris that is hauled away?
Bag what I need in big bags and then take them to the dump at the end of the day
Like that
Thank you
