And the security parking lot light out there, blaring through the cracks of light on the curtains that can never be blackout because they're bunched around the 90s AC unit
Ha! Honestly that's a gift. At least with the parking lot you can people watch if your bored. But more often than not I get the fantastic view of the top of a part of the building and an air conditioning unit with mold and rust😭😂😂
Thankfully a lot of them are using all white sheetsb like this one and it's all cleaned. Those are the most relaxing. The other ones give me the heebie geebies.
@@HolisticManifesting Putting them on over top is a great idea. Honestly, even just bringing your own pillowcase would feel a bit better, and easily packed in even a small suitcase.
I remember staying in a resort where the lights were on in our rooms and we couldn't find the switch thus spending 2 hours looking for the switch and giving up to just sleep under our blankets because the sheets were practically nailed to the bed
@@someoneyoudontknow7705 they're probably the kind of ppl who also wouldn't want to bother their waitress even if their $50 steak was covered in hair. They'd politely choke it down and leave a courteous tip.
Fr though im sometimes concerened for the creators of some of the art in hotels. One time i got there to see a lovely painting or picture (still not sure which) of straight up the endless abyss and a single small child figure in the middle in black and white holding balloons🙃. Darn picture was staring at me every night I went to sleep😢
@@SundayMourningLove wow, how kind of them😭. I swear the placement of some of these paintings feels too intentional/mocking too. Like who thought that was a good idea😅
My number one complaint is when I show up for the handicap accessible room i booked and when i get to my room it is not handicap accessible. Happens every darn time.
If you book through third party to save money, I heard that is more of an issue. They can give the room away to someone else, I’ve heard. I’ve ran into that issue before. I’m physically disabled and require an accessible room. They should take that stuff more seriously.
@0:56 aww I love that pic of the trees in the snow. Granted I do love snow in general (it’s so pretty, quiet and serene) but that’s probably because I was born in the DMV on the East Coast during an ice storm. 🥶
Endless typing always = "We have given away your room. We can put you in another room with a king bed instead of a full. It also has a lovely view of the crack den next door. Please also take this $5 voucher for dinner that is only good on the 2nd Monday of the month."
Went to the Dr's and the women was typing like crazy.. like what what is it about me that you need to start typing like you're putting a warning or something
You can always have disturbance of disgust and trust issues with said hotels 😭 Why does it have to be that way?! And they didn’t even want to find better art!
We are typing in your ID information such as address unless you booked on a site that does it for you. They really don’t wash the comforter so definitely don’t sleep on that.
The bedding is so accurate! Many years ago my husband and I checked into, what was supposed to be a fancy hotel, and saw a prostitute leaving a room. (Should have been out first clue something was wrong with this hotel) Then as we went into our room, my husband pulled back the covers and saw skin and hair in the bed. 🤮 Yeah, we quickly left the hotel and stayed somewhere else.
“They don’t wash this part! Ewww!” I always assume the same so when I’m checking out I take all the sheets, blankets and towels and put them in a pile. They can be lazy and not wash it if they want to but they will have to put it back on the bed regardless. 😂
Yeah. I can't stay in vacation rentals anymore. Years ago, I was a lot more trusting and naive. I know of someone who got bedbugs in a hotel. Just skip it. Get yourself a camper if you can. I'll spare you the details of the process it took to get rid of those things.
Being someone who worked at Marriott and Hilton, that is a sheet or a duvet cover you laid on. Those get washed. They duvet itself, rarely gets replaced.
Oh so true! But funny! I swear that our bed was short-sheeted and our pillows were stolen from a homeless encampment the last time I let my spouse pick the hotel.
Ugh the lights kill me…whhhhyyyy!!!! Also notice never wash windows or even the headboard ???? Or ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER.. nasty…. Also had a friend say she took a bath once…. I get Athletes foot just by walking across the carpet.. another tip.. I rather die then using the inroom coffee maker
I'm just glad that the TV remote isn't attached to one of those short ass cords anymore haha Plus, the cheap Holiday Inn Express I stayed at in September had mirror screening so I could watch my phone on the TV lol Now that was luxury for me haha
Lol at the typing. I’ve always wondered why they type so much. It is as if they are writing out a novel before you. I love self check in. So much easier.
Former hotel maid, and yeah, we get the duvet covers dry-cleaned every other month and spritz them down with antimicrobial spray every new guest. That said, not every hotel necessarily follows that procedure, and you're still face-planting into a lot of chemicals.
My husband and I just got back from staying at a nice hotel. But the comforter was tucked so tight I couldn't even get it up to my chest! I got cold. 😬
We went to Mexico, and I got horrible motion sickness. Threw up in the back of the taxi bad. I got stuck for what felt like forever while my mother-in-law checked us in, covered in vomit and embarrassed out of my mind. They had her sign like 15 pages of paper work and I just wanted to go lie down 😭😭😭
As a former housekeeper (I quit) we don't even always wash any of the sheets. If the bed doesn't look slept in we leave it. So never make your bed before leaving a hotel. Better yet strip the sheets for them
How could he forget the amazing view of the parking lot?!😂
And the security parking lot light out there, blaring through the cracks of light on the curtains that can never be blackout because they're bunched around the 90s AC unit
Or it could be a brick wall. Can't forget that other common and disappointing View lol

😄😄😄
Okay but... i like the view ngl
“It’s like Assisted Living home meets businessmen” 😂
This is upsettingly accurate
The part where he layed on the bed and said "Oh they don't wash these-" was the most realistic thing.
The endless typing. Spot on! 😂
Hilarious!"Looks like a brunette slept here." 😂 I always wish I could prewash the bedding myself when I stay at hotels.
I bring my own bedding and put it right over theirs when I travel and when I'm not flying. It's worth it. I can get comfortable without worry. 😌
Thankfully a lot of them are using all white sheetsb like this one and it's all cleaned. Those are the most relaxing. The other ones give me the heebie geebies.

The endless typing is a distraction because they're waiting for housekeeping to rush clean your room.

What are u dOinggg?? 😆
I've been a receptionist and this is so accurate 😂😂😂
Omg it’s like they’re typing a five page essay just to check you in! Thanks for the insider tip 😆
Lmao plus dragging in all your luggage from the car and waiting years for the elevator to open 🤣🤣🤣
His face " what are you doing# wow love it

I don't know why but this cracked me up 🤣

Where are the lights!! So true, always hella dark when you enter your room and no light switch to be found LOL 😆

The no lights 😂🤣🤣 EVERY TIME

What comedian said when they’re typing at the hotel front desk “they’re rearranging a satellite”.
He’s building a strong case to get a camper

I work at a hotel and I object 😂
My dad literally tears apart every hotel room he stays in to make sure there are no bed bugs. It’s quite something!
Omg the depressing paintings and photographs are SPOT ON! 😂😂😂

Someone who gets put up in hotels after working all day, as long as I don’t see no bugs or stains- ya boy is sleeping like a baby 😂
Almost every hotel I’ve ever been in has lights EVERYWHERE…. except the ceiling!
Sooo good😂😂!!
Oh it's worse for us who work in hospitality. "How many times do I have to explain to you that you can't get a room that you didn't reserve"
And the sheets that are non-movable. Love that! Especially when it's below zero in the room.

as a worker at a hotel I can assure you, the lights are non existent. you get a bed light and that's it homes.
