I picked this kit up not too long ago. Will be anxious to see what you do with it. I think I'll go open it and take a whiff. Oh, lord--now I'm going to be referred to as 'Model Sniffer'.
Not sure how far you are in the build, but I thought it would be cool if you made the base Spring themed. Add blooms to the tree, add lush green static grass to the base, and assortment of static flower tufts. It might make for a cool contrasting composition.
Cool build. I have a couple of this kit. How about for the weathered tree on the base you go to a pet store and look for drift wood that you put in a fish tank for the replacement. That would look freakin cool. I think that's what I would do. Just an idea. Looking forward to the next update. Thanks for sharing...

I think acrylic plastic putty can help a lot with all those Moebius kits. Personally I can recommend Vallejo product - ua-cam.com/video/gUn2xnefo4I/v-deo.html - but I'm pretty sure putties made by other manufacturers are no different. BTW, hourglass was designed by an [insert insults here] who has no idea how to work with clear sprues. With 35 years of experience and thousands of plastic kits seen I never saw something such senseless. TBH this is real achievment on the field "how to fail with plastic kit design".
I have an idea for the hourglass: make a mold out of it and use clear resin to mold your own. That way, even if you actually put that abomination together, you can still make it clear, without the guiding pins. Besides, it doesn't have to be half-filled even - Death from Discworld has his own, and that one is empty. Just saying.
whell so far so good and you going mack em glow in dark ? yes a must fore this guy and in the incantions of pears anthny and disc wold will see soon if havy smoker
This certainly reminds me of an old Aurora model kit of the late 1960s, lots of gaps and poor fit. The first thing you should have done is wash all the parts in warm, soapy water. The next is visit the dollhouse section at a arts & craft store and find a more suitable replacement for that lame kit supplied hourglass and never forget, 3M Blu Glazing putty is your best weapon in fighting those horrible seems!!
Every time you start a Mobius kit, I have a sympathetic cringe, knowing you will encounter fit issues and poor design and that it will do everything to test you...and that hourglass is just beyond ridiculous. Their quality seems noticeably absent. Have you actually ever encountered one that didn't suck in some way?
Meh, I guess it depends on your experience. They're certainly nowhere near Bandai quality, but what is? I toss these kits together, don't really worry too much about seams, and just paint them up. Easy peasy.
Dr. if anyone can polish this turd into a diamond it's you. I would like to see you make this kit as realistic as possible. Again if anyone can do it you can. Hell I'm just challenging you. Consider the gloves thrown down. I'll spare everyone my rants on Moebius though it's taking every ounce of restraint I have. I may not last the whole series.

it is funny... these figure models were for ages 8 and up built mine back in the day.. 1973-4 love em.
I just got this kit for a Halloween group build and got a migraine as soon as I opened the bags inside. Agreed about the hourglass.

I'm thinking of a conversion into Charon and his boat on the river Styx.
Hah, I just grabbed this kit a week ago. Awesome! love you vids man.

Was considering getting one of them to do as a large statue in a terrain piece
I will be watching this I got the same kit also got the the chopper they are both 1/8th scale
After getting in to Bandai model kits as a youth, I'm amazed that anyone even puts up with the shoddy quality of most western model kits.
Don't throw away the original base, never throw parts away, you can always reuse them for something later on.
I have never heard "root" pronounced that way, at 3:50.
Lol something fun. The Grimm reaper. That is funny.
Every time I see this kit I think of Monty Python Meaning of Life - "I. Am. The. Grim. Ree-per..." ;)
It’s a Mr Death or something… he’s come about the reaping ?…
The Salmon Mousse...
Needs more cowbell. ;) Very cool project though.
Discworld look he needs to have
I'm working on him right now

I found an almost perfect replacement hourglass.
Being made for children cartoonie is cool.
Don't fear...

Hello Old Friend. A little less then 1/12 , perhaps
Finally something not Star Wars!
Only reason I'm watching is to see what you do with the paint job. I could give a crap about Moebius' figure kits. Don't know why they bother.
