I appreciate the tips your providing this Is going to help me out a lot In the gym. ive been doing my chest incline wrong till I saw this video thanks.
to be fair, its Gold's Gym in Venice. 90% of gyms would look shitty compared to the Mecca of BBing. Half these machines I've never seen in any other gym... I'm freaking jealous
so should you. The chest is comprised of three separate muscles: the pectoralis minor, the clavicular head of the pectoralis major, and the sternal head of the pectoralis major.
I've got to find a gym that has all of these Hammer Strength equipment. It looks really good. I am worried about my shoulders and I wish I could use that stuff.
This big guy "obviously" knows everything. He says obviously every time the trainer mentions anything. Dude, if your gonna comment/ reinforce what the man is saying, don't say it like you "obviously" know everything about anything hes saying....Its so easy to listen and learn.
You guys are dumbasses, it’s cuz he has respect for glass, he wants to show to glass that he knows stuff too, and realistically, he does add in some key points, ones that glass actually forgets to mention himself. For instance , Glass didn’t say anything about chest out, slight arch in the back, the other dude did. They’re both giving good advice- if you can’t tell that, it’s because you’re not knowledgeable enough, and/or you just have heard so many people talk about how awesome glass is, that you want to only acknowledge him in this video, and even if glass came out there and said to drink pee, and the other dude said something useful- you guys would still be like “wtf, glass was telling us something useful and buddy comes in like he’s all hot shit..” just stop being childish guys, your closed minded love for glass is giving me embarrassment shivers for you guys.
Hey whats kind of routine can I use to help me bench press more weight? Building chest is the easiest body part for me. I don't even have to go too heavy to build my chest, but my goal is to bench more weight. I really don't don't mind getting bigger in size, but I prefer to get stronger. what do you recommend?
dude hes opening up statements for charles to comment on. He is starting the conversation so charles can share his knowledge. Would you rather him stand there awkwardly and not say a word?
ive never heard a bodybuilder say tuck your elbows in while benching. Ive always heard powerlifters saying to do that because their just going for strength and not size. Benching for powerlifters isn't about pec involvment at all and they try to use more delts/tris. so im confused
Anyone know the name/band that sings the song at 14:50? It just rocks! I searched the lyrics "Stand and deliver, in the pain of a cold, cold New York Winter..." etc. and NOTHING comes up at all. Who are these guys?
Wow! Thanks so much Bro. I just found one of the last copies of their CD on Amazon and bought it up fast! Great classic metal music for weight training. Thanks again!
Jonathan Taylore Real Web Solutions no problem. Also, the first song after the glass shatters in the beginning is called "all I live for" by "stigma". Not sure if that is the song you asked about or the one before that
Are those bells 80lbs or 80kg that he's lifting? If that's 80kg that's quite impressive! I know people lift a lot bigger, but his build doesn't look massive.
Look up Charles Glass on the difference in powerlifting and bodybuilding bench press. In that video he says bodybuilders keep their elbows out more and powerlifters keep them in. And in the video on this page he says keep your elbows in for hitting chest so wtf??
MAGAMASTER SUPER 45 is the best in my opinion after experimenting abit. I also do the press and click the dumbells together over my face, not over my nipples or chest... this keeps the focus right up high on the chest. Keep experimenting and once you get it right you'll feel the upper chest burn nicely and you'll know you have got it figured out for your body. Dont be scared of incline flys at 45 degrees too. Combining both these exercises will surly help you build the best upper chest/ calvicle head possible
So far from watching multiple videos with Charles Glass, all I see is low intensity training combined with his own unique alterations to exercises. Nothing wrong with that, just nothing special either.
Rich Weller just go slightly lighter than you normally would and concentrate on keeping tension on the muscle at all times and also a squeeze or hold at the peak contraction ie: right at the top of a movement, then slowly guiding the weight down. Slow down the tempo i think that is basically what charles preaches
+Naughtysauce ok I will try that thanks! I always do pyramids light to heavy , 10-12 then no less then 6 reps for 4 -5 sets on chest increasing the weights gradually . Stayed injury free for bout 5 years strait now.
+Naughtysauce absolutely ! I can't believe I haven't switched up in all this time , kind of robotic but still love , only thing changed is the weight increases so I keep going.? But love your method ! and excited to try this now! I can see how that would benefit the muscle. Thanks again
im not a fan of the guy trying to tell charles what things are. if you think charles glass is a fool why dont you google him in the 1970s. world champ body builder and a great powerlifter 197 pounds and a 550 pound bench.
good info today is my chest day and im going to use these tips.... Thanks Charles
Charles's face at 12:40 is priceless. He's thinking will you just shut up already!
probably the most informative chest training vid ive ever seen.
I appreciate the tips your providing this Is going to help me out a lot In the gym. ive been doing my chest incline wrong till I saw this video thanks.
Charles Glass, a man people pay for his knowledge.
Bob Dickarelo, a man people avoid.
what's wrong with bob??
to be fair, its Gold's Gym in Venice. 90% of gyms would look shitty compared to the Mecca of BBing. Half these machines I've never seen in any other gym... I'm freaking jealous
charles glass is a total champ. thanks for postingmr. police man!
GLASS=KNOWLEDGE
been doing this routine for upper pecs got some nice results, good pump.
this was great, I need to develop better upper pecs and Im going to include this technique in my training.
just learned something good gotta go to gym to give it a try! narrow width n angle!
so should you. The chest is comprised of three separate muscles: the pectoralis minor, the clavicular head of the pectoralis major, and the sternal head of the pectoralis major.
I think the degree of incline will vary from person to person, if I go any higher than #2 on the chair, I start to feel it on my delts not my chest.
charles glass is the best for technics ! i want a charles glass in my gym in québec ,canada !
thankyou cut glass!! Very Very informing.
I've got to find a gym that has all of these Hammer Strength equipment. It looks really good. I am worried about my shoulders and I wish I could use that stuff.
If my gym had the equipment this gym has they would be a lot better.
Great tips
the god coach big Charles! respect
I would love to have this dude put me through my paces

I found when I superset 60 degree DB INclines and flys my upper pecs immediately popped out and its lasting...go lighter and rest 30 seconds longer
this guy needs to shut his mouth and let charles do the talking
I could not agree more!!!! He's repping his organisation man. What can you do?
dude hes opening up statements for charles to comment on. He is starting the conversation so charles can share his knowledge. Would you rather him stand there awkwardly and not say a word?

Jonathan Taylore Real Web Solutions the band is "Man Scouts Of America" and the song is called "cold"
How about the tune during the first part of the video?
Wow! Thanks so much Bro. I just found one of the last copies of their CD on Amazon and bought it up fast! Great classic metal music for weight training. Thanks again!

Anyone know the name of the song starting at the 50 second mark?
Charles looks like he sits outside the gym with a coffee cup and a sign saying 'will train you for a dollar'.
Never judge a book by it's cover.

Nine Leaves by Flyers
I like this little buff gnome
Are those bells 80lbs or 80kg that he's lifting? If that's 80kg that's quite impressive! I know people lift a lot bigger, but his build doesn't look massive.
+Luke Gibson definitely not 80kg you moron.

Moron
He said it is a mistake to put bench press ar 30
***** I know Charles knows his shiz, but BPak is def more knowledgeable when it comes to exercise physiology

You are correct he got it wrong in that other video...
But in that vídeo que Said that is better to put bench presos up to 55 or 60* .You would workout importa chest much better
Charles sounds like Jackie Chiles, the black attorney" from Seinfeld
If I lower the bench to 30* It workout upper chest better?
yup. if you up the bench to 35°+, your delts are more activated than the upper chest

So far from watching multiple videos with Charles Glass, all I see is low intensity training combined with his own unique alterations to exercises. Nothing wrong with that, just nothing special either.
Naughtysauce probably huffing and puffing from the tren
get on that machine backwards, you will be amazed how much tension you put on the lower chest and top
song 6:00 ?? pls
So don't lift heavy?
lift heavy but safety first. feel every rep
Rich Weller just go slightly lighter than you normally would and concentrate on keeping tension on the muscle at all times and also a squeeze or hold at the peak contraction ie: right at the top of a movement, then slowly guiding the weight down.

Kinda' ticks me off how he keeps talking while Glass is trying to explain his knowledge.

Look at a picture of Franco Columbu flexing his chest and then tell me the human chest only has one muscle
im not a fan of the guy trying to tell charles what things are. if you think charles glass is a fool why dont you google him in the 1970s. world champ body builder and a great powerlifter 197 pounds and a 550 pound bench.
