  • Truly, there’s more than what meets the eye.
    Curious how the INFP mind works? In this post, let’s zoom in and take a peek at how INFPs' cognitive functions work, their thinking, and how they process the world around them.

    This break down of the cognitive functions was great! I love the format of explaining them followed by a bullet point break down at the end.I learned a lot of new information, especially about my TE function, which at this point has only been described as negative and stagnant. I agree with the insights here of what a matured TE looks like and while I'm not that good with data, I still know how to get technical info outside of me and rely on those who do know how.

    I guess I have developed my Te then! This is really accurate to the point that it is scary and amazing at the same time. I can relate to how I process information with this and it's cool. Also, yep, I play simple games too, not the games that my generation is playing right now. But I do try to explore them too cause why not. (Hard though since there are a lot of buttons and stuff, I normally stop playing for some time). And I am a keeper of mementos too which is kind of problematic cause I don't know where to keep them if they get stacked up. Anyway pretty accurate.

    "INFPs are walking library of memories"
    me, an INFP: but i have selective memory. it's like i have the similar amnesia thing with dory in finding nemo. i forget everything unless it impacts or affects me deeply.
    "INFPs are the epitome of nostalgia"
    me, an INFP: this is so accurate! i collect a lot of stuff that is either cute or meaningful. my collection just grows and grows without me realizing, and it frustrates me because i run out of space to store them. 😭
    "wears the same clothes, never rearranges their desks, not a fan of replacing their properties unless broken or worn out, always buys their childhood fav snacks, orders the same menu"
    SO TRUE 😭

      Now that I am much older, I have learned coping skills with my Fi (becoming assertive over turbulent) and rarely undertake any task without thorough research (love the "how to" stuff it saves time and effort). If you cannot convince me of the logic of a situation or scenario I will dismiss your opinions quickly, but if you make even a little sense I will research further to see if the facts hold up.
      When you tell me that a device with 3-600 micron aperture's will stop a particle of 150 microns nothing you say after that will matter to me, so make sure your information is correct before you engage in parroting logical fallibilities. Specious and arbitrary comments and non sequitur's, are quickly spotted by this INFP, who through a voracious appetite of gaining information can quickly discern both a person who is obviously prevaricating and illogical inconsistencies. Narcissistic gas-lighter's are as easy to spot as a neon sign in the desert at night.

    Thank you. As an elder and now single INFP it's extremely difficult for me to sense the need to explain myself and I finally just don't and I stay an enigma to most people around me. It feels so validating to hear me reflected here. ... Secondly, I hope this video is your voice or at least a human voice. It's impossible to listen to and take seriously voices that obviously are bots. Thank you!

    This is a good explanation's video. I think currently i do empowering the last cognitive function since we have to adapt to the reality and it's not a bad feeling at all. When we learn about reality and try to adapt, the more we learn what the world is and how became more humane than others. Anyway like this video😘

    Is it possible to be an INFP who’s Si is “broken”? I fit the descriptions in this video and other videos on INFPs very well, except for Si - I learned from a young age to suppress personal memories, but I pick up on how to do things and how systems work very quickly. Also, my nostalgia is mostly fuzzy and sad. Kinda like distorted liminal spaces 😢

  • @sandrafrancis3631
    @sandrafrancis3631 Рік тому

    It's mostly right in my experience. Except i don't agree with many things you said under the si function. I agree we are a memories library . But people say i pick things up fast which i see as typical of intuitive types. I'm not in to traditional things but i like some traditional things. I do get rid of stuff, but i do wear the same sort of clothing even though i have new stuff...? Please tell me why INFP are said to be dreamers, but also described as EARTHY ? I don't get that, but i think it's true, but i don't understand why INFP are ment to be day dreamers, living in their imagination, but at the same time they are Earthy? Which sounds like down to earth. Please explain. Thanks.

    1. As an INFP girl it depends on gender, I'll be super cautious while interacting with stranger men, but with women I'll open (I don't think they'll do any harm to me)
    2. Si is not true for me
    Rest of the video corresponds with who I am

    • @Huia87
      @Huia87 Рік тому

      Assuming men are a threat until proven innocent = living in fear. You can be cautious without fear, which is not helpful or rational. You're probably in an Anglo Saxon country where such behaviour is normalized... but it's not normal 🤷‍♂️ my first GF was short and model level beautiful but did not have this fear of men. And yes, she has had bad experiences with dangerous guys... fear shuts down your heart's ability to literally feel danger, ironically thereby making you less safe

    • @Huia87
      @Huia87 Рік тому

      It's pretty shocking to hear 50% of the entire human race is seen as a threat by default. Respectfully this is not about being an INFP, sounds more like trauma and/or toxic cultural conditioning.

    7:45 "dogs respond better to rewards than punishments"
    so if dog does something bad just don't give it a reward instead of punishing it, right?
    but wouldn't denying a dog a reward then turn into a punishment in and of itself because you're denying the dog of its potential happiness?
    therefore doggos always deserve rewards :3
    so as a consequence doggos use their doggo charms to enslave all humans on earth
    insert existential crisis
    but that's okay, we'll willingly submit to the dominant will of our four legged canine companions and every human will have their dog like shaggy and scooby and villains will start to dress up in monster costumes recreating the scooby-doo universe and this is how monsters under the bed will become real again and we'll have to call ghostbusters to deal with it

    • @EnochianChronicles
      @EnochianChronicles Рік тому +3

      If ET's were observing human dog interaction, they would assume the dogs are the masters and the humans their slaves (since humans pick up doggie doodoo 🐶💩it is obvious who the superior species is)

    My takeaway: Te with INFP is xxTJ, and J mirrors as in Christianity we're created in God's Image. In Islam we can't pray toward a mirror, as obstacle to Mecca, because that's Narcissistic. .... However I don't know,i'll know by a "feeling "explosion (Fi)".
