Charge doesn't thematically fit for these Identities, which is the entire purpose of self-Tremor: It's flavorfully different, representing resonance and vibration and cycles and mechanical engineering, whereas Charge is for electricity-driven tech and leans more towards Warp than Time, naturally. As for our new old Tremor Soul, I think Chain fills a very different niche from Reverb and will have a good position nerfing high-Clash bosses.
its functionally not the same either, although close. self tremor can be effected by the enemy and can be a debuff in certain circumstances.
regardless, the reason some hoped the IDs would be charge is because the remembered T corp collectors from canto 4 were charge. why they were charge im not sure, maybe PM hadnt figured out self tremor yet, or maybe canonically yi sang misremembered/didnt know and therefor the fathoms made them charge, or maybe they used to be charge but since the time yi sang left T corp, they got an upgrade? who knows

aint no way tremor is an "upgrade" compared to charge, like my first idea was that selftremor ids would have the risk of getting btfod into stagger by tremor enemies but since its only count it does nothing(considering that most of enemies still dont have the fiendish "reduce tremor count by x" for their bursts"(also yurodiviy hong s3 tries to be like W corps punish for not having enough charge, being a selfburst of a whole 1 potency on self)) and gameplay wise only centipede interacts with charge in any way

I never thought I'd see the day you'd ask for more charge IDs. It really goes to show how dire the charge situation is right now. Still, we'll probably get a bunch of charge stuff in the next event since its centered around W Corp.

I think you're underrating the fact that amplitude conversion reverb is tied to an EGO, meaning that outside of dungeons it'll take at least a couple of turns to build up the resources for cavernous wailing (not to mentionthe fact that detective Hong Lu's entanglement conditional is tied to more tremorcount than can be built up in 2 turns), therefore I think that this new tremor very much has a niche
Additionally this tremor type is very useful for non tremor focused teams as long as it doesn’t take absurd amount of potency

Me when the enemies entirely based on Tremor, with unique Tremor effects, get a banner on the Tremor event and end up in fact being Tremor IDs.
Don't worry Esgoo I might be Charge's sleepiest solider but I thought they would just be charge ids as well.
You will not find me complaining about the new tremor flavor we got, but I will admit I'm starting to wish for another status effect like Charge or Burn.

While watch you get bullied by endless tremor content is funny, I think it would be neat to make a video dedicated to all the bugs you’ve found in Ids and egos that have yet to be fixed, both cause that stuff is fascinating, but also because it produces a list of things to send through customer service which if enough people do can get them fixed
I do think offering more ways to gain tremor types for people who are new or don’t have ID’s like ouficliff or ego like everlasting or cavernous Hong Lu is a good thing
Like, is she gonna be a mainstay? We’ll see, but having a decent Tremor ID to fill out your slots until you get the full gang is good.
Benchwarmer ID’s are honestly pretty useful, and a benchwarmer you may like is also pretty good!

if md adds an ego gift that uncaps the clash power reduction of tremor -chain or is already like that at the beginning of the id release, that shit is gonna be so busted. im gonna LOVE absolutely demolishing every single boss fight that only has 1 part, mf getting 0 clash power.
yeah chain getting globally buffed to not have the crappy -3 limit would be good(if your guys have enough potency, at that point they are likely fucked(t corp tax service isnt messing around...) so it wont change much)

Tremor Chain is universally useful and reaches its max potential at 30 potency (although she might need some help keeping up count)

Nothing here actually requires her to be on a dedicated Tremor team. Just put her on any team with an open slot and let her pull away the big attacks and boost the whole team's damage.
The answer to why these are not charge ids is almost certainly because they are saving those for the warp train event

Kinda makes sense that the trailer shows visuals but not ready scripting.Pretty much standard in game dev. It's funny that for some reason Hong Lu and Ryoshu were done before the trailers.
Also it's weird seeing PM's first id misses after such a string of W's in terms of id's. Pretty much everything they released since Dieci Rodion is very good or at least useable. Even Mattsault has uses and I presonally like using him. That time borrow self damage sounds waaaaaay too high to ever be worth it even if they resist Sloth (and at that point it's obfuscation of actual numbers just for the sake of making calculating difficult which is another topic) and the Tremor effect really does seems bad. Like not useless, but at this point we have enough different tremor id's to fill 3 completely different tremor teams, what justifies the use of these? Especially when this tremor overrides the better tremor effects unless you use the one thing that lasts for a single turn.

If Tremor - Chain were Offense Level Down it would've actually been more useful, it would reduce damage dealt and allow to forgo clashes in favour of focusing down a weak/staggered/broken body part more liberly, but alas that's not the case.
Time Moratorium would be much much worse on any archetype other than Tremor because it effectively prevents Stagger, at least until all thresholds are exhausted that is, but Tremor doesn't _really_ face that same problem, although slow Potency build up still throws in a wrench. At least it may help to put Tremor - Fracture into work now that we can't accidentally stagger through damage.
Well that's the point of tremor being the sloth archetype their is probably a in universe reason for all the statuses and sins and when we get the blue reverb self tremor Id we will probably know more that could also be played with you stack different tremor types on the enemies to gain special tremors that buff you so the new tremor that lowers enemies clash power when you let's just call it synchronizing with it gives you clash power = to their lost let's say 3 they could add some negative effects to it maybe or maybe not who knows just spit balling and rambling
Honestly, after the Yurodivy showed it off, I was expecting a self-tremor ID which inflicts amplitude conversion on self for a positive effect. That feels like it could actually make a self-tremor team meta.
Here's what happens when you burst tremor once with the 7 tremor souls btw:
(assuming tremor potency is 50)
raise stagger threshold by 50 - tremor
(if staggered by tremor burst) stagger level + 1 - tremor fracture
take 50 sloth damage - tremor reverb
activate all the above effects 2 more times - tremor everlasting
and passive effects:
lose 3 clash power - tremor chains
gain 12 defense level down - tremor decay
gain 5 offense level - tremor distribution
