Thank you for your service! I however am older and hopefully wiser. I got late into this Israel controversy but I hope I got the right information. I am a 65 year old veteran. I remember the Students protesting the Vietnam war.
My biggest surprise when I started this journey was the fact that there is Apartheid over there! Even the roads have restrictions on Who can travel them. I know we have units that train over there but that is different than moving around freely.
What I found out surprised me and other Americans with the Same comments! I won’t go into detail but basically WE all came out with the same conclusion!
WE have been supporting the Bad Guys!!
Now that WE know, we should fix it.

AOC wants to blame the NYPD and Mayor and University Presidents for any student the might be hurt during this protest, however she does not blame the students who broke into hamilton hall that broke windows with hammers and caused any violent acts... no no no they are innocent, its the people who want to stop the violence and damage of property who are to blame... Don't the people who are not protesting have a right to attend their college peacefully? if these kids feel so strongly about this issue why don't they pack up and move to gaza and fight rather than disrupt everyones lives here.

It needs to be taken with massive caveats, but the idea that these people are some of the brightest and best who will likely make up a significant portion of future leadership positions throughout the country should be listened to in a non dismissive manner. But how is shifting exams to remote mission accomplished? Lol that is just one thing to unpack there ;)

Columbias days are coming to an end anyhow. These students have destroyed their future in this country for a very long time. No employer in his or her right mind wouldn’t even think to hire such a person if they attended Columbia college. No parent would send their kid to this viral hatred of a school ever again. The name and reputation of this school called Columbia University is tarnished forever! I could see locks on their doors quickly. They will become less than a memory.
Why do you say that? You know nothing about me and my academic and professional accomplishments. It just shows how inexperienced you are with life. For example, I didn't go to Harvard for architecture school, but as a young architect I did work for three Harvard professors, including as the personal craftsman to the Dean of Harvard Architecture School. Also, the Chairman of Visual Studies at Harvard told me that my thesis in architecture school was the best he had ever read by a student. But I went to University of Michigan, not Harvard. My thesis included commentary on the works of Claude Levy-Strauss, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Gaston Bachelard, and Wylie Sypher. And I can tell you, at the age of 21 I knew far more theory of contemporary architecture as a social art form than any of those Harvard professors. So, I successfully practiced architecture for about 40 years, but for some time I have been working with a start up cancer research company I created in around 2009. We have about a dozen PhD's and MD's from a number of research institutions like Hebrew University in Jerusalem, University of Rwanda, Henri Institute in Kenya, University of Arizona, UCLA Medical School, also institutes in Austria and Germany, to name a few.
