Kudos to how much Sean dug up and Mark allowed himself to answer. awesome for both men as well as the BTS crew!!
Ok. I am an artist who has 15 years of experience in drawing, painting both digital and on paper/canvas, but i couldn't get the job to live off that craft for 10 years now. So I did quit. I'm not even trying anymore. I didn't draw anything for the past 3 years. But his speech made me think "Maybe it's not over. Maybe try one more time." Thank you, Mark Raffalo
Obviously, there’s a limit to everything. You must to make enough to eat, but I’m just another voice out there saying don’t quit, at least don’t let the spirit die. Maybe it’s paused for now, but the artist’s spirit (desiring to create) should always have the freedom of coming out when the opportunity knocks.
@MADCatss Your reply makes me think that - it is you, who are a child. When you are young - you always think that your "goals" and "passion" gonna make you happy and successful. But then the time comes when you have to think about bills to pay, family to feed and parents to help. And "passionate creation strictly for yourself" won't do it. It always comes to money, whether you like it or not.
@MADCatss A bit harsh no? If he can draw for fun that's passion enough I would imagine. If he has passion and he is good at what he does he might as well earn money from it right? He needs to meet his basic needs right? Gotta eat, gotta stay warm, some electricity would be nice too.
I have a 9-5 job and still sell my art on the side. During the pandemic I made enough and then some to support my family but these days it’s not great.

I love that he remembered to sign the funko at the end! Mark is so sweet. I’m echoing the sentiment that this feels like the most the staff has laughed. He really embraced the entire experience in a way that highlights his modesty
Tf is a funko lol!!?
I enjoy how humble Mark is after everything he’s acted in. True pleasure to see such a talent be so kind to others! 🎉
Don't know how he does it. Curious who his role model is.
This was by far one of my favorite episodes as Mark was soft spoken, thoughtful, engaging and handling the heat like a real champ. I think this was the longest interview I have watched him perform.
I believe in you
I have a 9-5 job and still sell my art on the side. During the pandemic I made enough and then some to support my family but these days it’s not great.
Mark Ruffalo looks like a kind man. One of the few with enough cojones to speak for what’s right.
He does use his playform to speak for the "regular job" having dudes. 😂
Yeah, have you seen the movie Dark Waters?
He does do that. He was pushing right along side to help out Bernie.
I disagree
Is it just me, does Ruffalos voice sound higher and different than what we see in his movies?
Mark seems really down to Earth. His mom being the sole reason to continue his dream of acting is inapiring.
The vibe with Sean and Mark was on point this episode. Really just felt like two friends talking to each other.
This was probably one of my favorite interviews. Their chemistry was great, and u can tell they're gonna be friends after the show, like with Tom Segura. Mark Ruffalo seems really wonderful.
I fell in love with mark watching 13 going on 30, but this made me fall in love even more, such an amazing human being, and amazing advice he gave at the end..perfection 👌🏻
Same. He seems such like a nice down to earth guy
Ruffalo was so effervescent throughout the whole interview! So much energy and joie de vivre, it's absolutely inspiring
Genuine, kind hearted people shine on here. Thanks Mark, much love.
The fact that Ruffalo survived a BRAIN tumor, and has truly performed a ton of incredibly powerful roles in dozens of films is a testament to the fact that we basically don't deserve him, lol! :) The Mahvull "Hulk" was only one of MANY characters he's delved into. Here's to Ruffalo; I'm glad the spice was with him on this one!
Haven't heard the production staff laugh this hard. Love it.
mark ruffalo truly just has one of the most soothing voice when he starts storytelling, it's so relaxing to listen to. He also just seems so incredibly down to earth, it feels like he's one of a kind in hollywood
He's just a person 🤨
Mark seems like an incredibly genuine man! He had everyone laughing too! This was so sweet and wholesome!! 💙💙💙
I bet it’s so refreshing to the actor to finally talk about other things than the obvious projects that they’re known for, like Mark doing Marvel stuff
That's one of the reasons this show is so popular.
The fact that he honoured his funko singing shows how much he respected Sean. Top class interview
Mark Ruffalo seems so genuine and sweet, I really enjoyed this episode! Sean and Mark had great energy together.
I'm so happy Mark is just as charming and humble in person as he seems. What a guy.
He’s not humble at all.
And he's also so hot
He's a total clown.
@@makattak88 and that was also not in person lol... It's still an internet show
I hope Sean and Mark stay friends after this one - the chemistry!
their chemistry was so great! i loved their sense of humor. was laughing out loud throughout. what a guy
You just can tell that mark has his feet on the ground, acknowledging his worth and wisdom yet staying humble and kind. The advice he gave at the end really spoke to me, hopefully I can take it and flourish in my own goals.
since being a kid, watching Mark always relaxed my nervous system, he is a kind hearted genuine human being. Seeing him gracefully and beautifully aging makes me emotional and grateful at the same time.
I have watched your work with family and friends, some have passed, thank you for being a part of my childhood and life. I will forever love you and I pray for great great things in your life. You truly deserve the best.
There was so much more to this than eating hot sauce soaked chicken tenders! Outstanding conversation that seemed to flow so naturally! A true pleasure to watch!!!!
Not chicken tenders. Mark is vegan.
@@phanaticz I did not know that. What did they use in place of chicken?
@@physicsguybrian Not sure, but earlier episodes, they've used cauliflower. Could be that, or tofu maybe?
Mark is one of those people who makes everyone feel great about themselves. It’s a gift but also a constant act of grace.
Mark Ruffalo is as genuine as it gets. He was awesome!!!!
As an actor who hasn't acted in years, you've inspired me to keep moving forward. Thanks, Mark!
Mark seems like a fun, genuine and good man! Glad you had him on!
The 3 advices he gave at the end really hits. It applies to everyone no matter what they are working towards. This interview made me love him more!
this is the first HotOnes ive watched in a minute because i havent been a fan of the guest lately, but this one absolutely KILLED IT!!!! Mark did alot better than i thought he would handling the heat
Almost feel bad coming into this thinking he wouldn't be able to handle heat. Dude killed it.
Between this and the Actors on Actors with Downey, I'm loving all this Ruffalo filled content!
Same
Love Ruffalo...
You can tell he clearly watches the show.. he knew exactly which sauces to be concerned with 😅
It was cute he apologized not remembering they’re pre-sauced
But yet he didn’t know it wasn’t already sauced
One of the best episodes of hot ones. Mark Ruffalo is a true gem!!!
Mark Ruffalo is one of the only few actors in all of hollywood who is a good human being and an actual activist, not just going along with whatever is trendy or acceptable.
Yup agreed heavily.. and so many people hate on him for actually speaking his mind .. his view is his view🙏.. genuinely such a cool dude at heart
Came here to say this. He's always been a homie and a comrade.
He's anti semetic 😂
Yeah, it wasn't so trendy to honor Joseph Rosenbaum, the child molester, but Mark still did it.
except he's a terrible human being with an extremely thin superficial layer of pretend "niceness". that you seem to have bought into.
Didn't need another reason to love Mark Ruffalo, but here we go.
Didn’t know he was gonna do the vegan wings! He’s always surprising me!
I need these Funkos now...
This is one of the top 5 interviews and Ruffalo is just a gem. Wow...I had to watch it back to back, he's such a great guy!
After all Mark has been through, he’s still a phenomenal actor and genuinely nice person. XOXO
That's Mark freakin' Ruffalo!!! How Sean can even speak straight in front of him is beyond me. Absolute legend, both of them.
Absolutely LOVE Mark Ruffalo! Just Like Heaven is one of my all-time favorite movies--he displays his amazing comedic ability throughout the film, along with his award-winning dramatic ability.
Sean collecting autographs at the end like "Somebody got my toy?"🥵😂
This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen. And I mean in general, not just from Hot Ones. You just want to be friends with both of these people.
Love Mark Ruffalo
His acting, humanity, integrity and honesty.
One of the best out there.
Always great interviews, and Mr. Ruffalo was so nice! Sean shatters the gap between celebrity and the real person. I smiled from beginning to end, I love this show!
He is so serious and so fun at the time, I loved that he went to give a huge hug to Sean when they finished, he's super cool
Mark Ruffalo’s best acting, in my opinion, is in Poor Things! That character arc is wild & he did such an incredible job with it!!
I would be screaming if Mark was in front of me. How Sean keeps his composure is beyond me. 🎉🎉
Mark Ruffalo is absolutely likable. He's so genuine, and a people's man. I enjoyed his interview and the message he had to say at the end.
This interview had me smiling giddy the whole time. What a great man to interview. Such great interactions between the two, I loved it. Mark Ruffalo and Paul Rudd standing as my favorite episodes so far!
Mark Ruffalo is a gift!! So thankful for artists like him who use their voice for peace and justice.... he is so kind and relatable!! Thank you for this!!! .......... and Sean NEEDS those glasses!
Imma keep it a brick, i only know mark for being hulk but after this interview i think i like him more now especially as a person.
1. He killed them wings flawlessly
2. He has a real life sense of humor
3. He actually gave really good advice at the end. Shout out to you mark
Watch Zodiac
Watch any of his work and marvel (no pun intended) at his range 😊
His acting history is crazy! There are some amazing performances and some not so great ones. Best part - nobody agrees on which are which.
HEY HOT ONES CREW, I bought the apollo hot sauce and its FIRE!! hits so different and i love it. Just wanna say... You can really tell how, even after all these years Mark Ruffalo has kept his humble and genuine nature, in the way he mentions an unknown sculpture as his teacher, how he talks about his ex roomate Mr Pheonix with no "cons' only pro's, how he smiles through the spicy wings and answers every question with such detail, the relevant and practical advise he gives to aspiring artists, how he compliments the host on seriously well thought out questions, how he remembers to sign the funco pop figurine at the end. mark if you're reading this, you are such a dope individual, amazing actor, never give up, i'll be your fan for life, this interview was awesome, well done you're all just da bomb beyond insanity!
I enjoy the other people laughing in the background. It makes it seem we aren’t laughing alone and I love the pure happiness in those laughs.
“You are the only one who can stop you”. I like that. Thank you, Mark Ruffalo.
It’s the geeky, thoughtful people who win at life later on.. nicely said. Mark is one of the most genuine nicest person not just in Hollywood, but in life
I love Mark Ruffalo man, such a great guy. ❤️
No
He a piece of woke Hollywood garbage.
@@expert244 yes
Mark seems like such a cool dude, he doesn't take himself too seriously and acknowledges that acting is a cushy gig compared to "real work" while praising the people who do it. Classy, wish we saw more of that from Hollywood
Mark Ruffalo is my favorite actor, so glad he never gave up on acting
Mark took the wings like a champ !
And also made such a wonderful, calm & funny interview.
Weren’t more like nuggets?
Fullzies?
Fullzies.
@davidlk9103 same amount of sauce though. Even vegan "wings". Sauce. Mark went hard, not nibbles.
@@davidlk9103 well , he ate those spicy nuggets like there’s no tomorrow
What a cool guy. I studied Mark Ruffalo while learning environmentalism in college, and he just seems so cool about it. He's not in your face offensive about it, he's just a really cool guy who cares about the world we live in. Truly a great Earthling.
What a good human right? In so many ways than one. So sweet to remember the Funko, didn't complain once, took that heat like it's nothing, so kind, so s3xy, down-to-earth, and just plain funny.
Doesn't surprise me at all about Juaquin either. That is just normal human being behavior, and he understands that's all he is...same as everyone else.
No matter how big the star they always say how impressed they are with Sean’s interview style…. Can we just say he’s the best in the industry 🙌
LOVE Mark Ruffalo. So much. Stage. Screen. Television. The level of talent & commitment. True professional & just a wondrous human.
Mark Ruffalo is so so dawn to earth! And such a great actor, I love his movies 🎬 ❤
✌🏻❄️
I love when the guest realizes they have power over Seen and force him to eat the whole bomb wing and double dip on the other crazy sauces.
This was a great interview. It definitely shed a bright light on Ruffalo and I love and really appreciate the fact that he didn't ask him anything about the Hulk/MCU. It means that he knows that it's much more to him that just that one role and that's amazing. 😎👌🔥💯
The fact that literally almost everyone on this show says either: "thats a great question, or you are such a good interviewer" just says a lot about how good Sean and the production is at their craft! Kudos to them for always doing interesting and fun interviews. 😁🤘🏻👍🏻
