A Tough Night | Sea Fishing

- The conditions were great, big tide and a bit swell churning the sea bed. But very tough going with some tackle loss, more than usual.
I still had a great evening in this secluded rock mark in SE Northumberland, sitting under the stars in fantastic surroundings.

Good Morning Dannielle , another good video love the content shame about the blank but its called fishing not catching , you may consider getting a pair of boots with studs in for the wet rocks they seam to help , so till the next time please take care & stay safe

Yeh, studs would come in very handy for those nights when the rocks are slippy, I’ll keep an eye out for something suitable 👍🎣🐟
Good effort gal, nothing worse than a snaggy spot, we used to use old spark plugs for weights and a rotten bottom 😂😂, keep trying, nobody catches anything at home 👍🏼🎣

It’s not normally as bad at that spot, I think the big swells kept dragging me into snags🥺

Great watching as always, shame about the 5tangled line definitely looked like a codling biting, Lovely part of the world Northumberland. I've fished that mark and only ever had fish from the end casting between one and two o clock, caution has to be observed though the swells roll up the rock. Well done as always tight lines

I’ve caught at this spot a few times but in warmer weather. You’re right about being cautious if going onto the end, it can be lethal in rougher weather and best avoided if it’s not flat 👍🎣🐟
Know the mark well, it can be very tackle hungry. The area is one of great beauty and can produce some excellent fishing, going to try the area later this year ... fly fishing.
I’ll be back there a few times in the coming months, and looking forward to the lure fishing 🎣
Give ya your dues for perseverance lass even the greatest fishers struggle some time but thats fishing for ya stay safe and tight lines unless its a slack line bite

Yeh it is a great spot, one of many along that section. I like the walk up to Dunstanburgh Castle from here too taking in Craster on the way 👍🎣🐟
The missus normally does that walk while I'm fishing.
Learning by experance well done.Nearly March now only mainly small stuff till May-June or even later.But one Never knows there may be a monster lurking near about to catch.thanks lol

I have never fished at Northumberland but I would definitely going to try it next winter for the codlins. I ve been cold it's a very snaggy mark though 😂
You should give it a go, it can be very productive. There are plenty of marks to choose from, some are tackle hungry but other not too bad - especially some of the beaches 👍
@fishinghinny will defo give it a go with your guidance. Me and my brother fish together so hopefully next winter we will try to fish there. Its a long drive from Bradford lol

Any fishing clubs in your area? Might be better setting up like a scratching rig to start off and see if the are some fish around. Smaller double hook rig. Enjoy the videos and Tight Lines!

I would usually fish two rods, one lighter as you suggest, but night time on the rocks I prefer just the one so I can concentrate more easily 👍🎣🐟

Yeh, I should have made some rotten bottom rigs, I’ve made some previously but I’m usually ok at this venue. I think the swell was dragging me into snags on this occasion 🤷🏻♀️👍🎣🐟

Cullernose Point near Craster
You are a good fisher, noticed your reels are fixed spool, maybe try a multi plier, you’ll probably get another 20 or 40 metres on your cast, I got half a day casting tuition and it worked’ a lot less rigs lost and more fish. Keep the vids going, entertaining 😀

I’ve never tried a multiplier before, I’ll have a look, might be an option for me😊 the extra distance could come in handy sometimes
If you cut every cost and it wouldn't be called fishing it be catching
